Paul Nicholls’ star chaser fended off all challengers, including Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Minella Indo who finished third, to make all in the 2021 Ladbrokes Champion Chase at Down Royal under a jubilant Bryony Frost.

Bryony is such a compact, powerful rider. Stocky and strong in her arse and legs. And Frodon is the most underrated horse in training. He's as brave as Many Clouds. He'd die for you

Well done Sue hoped you backed Frodon ,thought he was cooked when they all loomed up . Had a fortunate win on Fusil Raffles ,Shan blue shot clear liked he was turbo charged and then crumpled . Nice when it happens in your favour .

I never understand how some people don't like Frodon, he jumps, he gallops and he wins alot of races, he would be the perfect horse to own as you know he's sound and you know he'll run through a brick wall for you.

Now Frodon has been retired it was really emotional watching this.What a horse,one of the best jumpers I've ever seen.He jumped at speed,so accurate and stayed low and was quickly into his running. But his heart and bravery were something else.They caught him here and he still found another gear.

Wow he's tough alright , thought the others would go past him 2 out but he had other ideas. Perfect horse and jockey combination . I'd recommend to anyone , look up the frodon jockey cam clip on YT from the Cheltenham Gold Cup , shows what a good jumper he is.. Doesn't matter if he doesn't win again this season this was a great performance Well Done.

Some race that. You think when they all close up on Frodon 2 out that they will go past him but Frost has been keeping a bit up here sleeve and even with the mistake at the finish nothing is going past. What a great wee horse - when 100% a very tough nut to crack and just keeps on improving.

There have been better horses than frodon but I cant imagine there have been many that battle as hard as he does. He knows he's in a race and does everything he can to win. Sometimes that's not good enough but he always goes out on his shield.

Absolutely world class ride by Bryony. She let him to run, gave him a breather , then kicked on and the horse gave her everything. Put any other jockey on Frodon , he loses that race. They are a match made in heaven.

Well done Bryony your one best Jockeys on the track ,Watching Johnson .and h Skelton you would be champion jockey if you had there rides I seen so many races thrown away by these jockeys ,I think people like Dunne are just jealous off you even the racing channel not said enough to support you recently . Well done the worm turned they are bunch off bullies in racing world .NOW hold your head high you proved your point. @@irishandproud4110 Very true, i didn't like the ride she gave it all if i'm honest, don't think the horse was A1 as far as fitness goes, but i was never happy with her positioning throughout the whole race, i knew she was beat miles out, the horse always seem to be on the backfoot from the outset.

Superb from bryony frost what a gutsy horse frodon is so talented im deeply regretting not putting my money and my faith in them rachel blackmore and minella indos achievements led me to believe they couldnt be beaten i am deeply sorry and also gutted i had a feeling frodin would do it and didnt go with it shan blue crippled me i lost all discipline and reasoning after that debacle lost a lot of money

Can't knock Frodon, as genuine a horse as you'll ever see. It's not like the tactics are some great secret, so why do the others allow Frost to make the running unchallenged, dictate the pace, and slow down to give her horse a breather? Anyone with brains would take it on like Mrs P did with Carvill's Hill.

Paul has a lot of donkeys this year I wonder if this has to do with the staff having covid19 who knows yesterday Paul only had 1 winners 1/10 favorite and that was in a very small race even this race was nothing special small race again

I really hope people don't get way ahead of themselves here!!! This was like froden being fully tuned and flat out in other bigger races during the year at least 2 of these opponents would wipe the floor with him!!! He's good but no were near a top class chaser

Do you have direct contact with the Nichols team to know Frodon was fully tuned ? I appreciate your comments and I’m sure those in behind will have their say/day but knocking a horse like Frodon with all the horses and jockeys achievements is a bit harsh.

@@johnfarrell5075 Nichols and Bryony Frost both said he was spot on for this and was fully tuned where as the others have bigger targets and will come on for today. Got to give Nichols his due he is not afraid to run his horses and travel. Some of the trainers here should take a leaf out of his book and run in Ireland.
