I've not bagged a turkey in over 30 years. My last one was in the fall season in the mid 1990's. A 16 lb. gobbler with a 9 1/4" beard. It was after Thanksgiving, so my wife and I had it for Christmas dinner. The Boss was happy!

Possibly it’s a subordinate bird. Got nervous seeing the hen because it probably got it’s A$$ whooped by the dominant bird. That’s most likely why he was kinda nervous. Beautiful bird and you got em👊 still eating tag soup here in Jersey lol

I've tried for 5 years now and have only managed to get 1 bird. I'm going to give it up and just go back to fishing and mushroom hunting. I don't find much enjoyment in it and store bought tastes considerably better. Tomorrow morning will be the last day I try, then I'm going bluegill fishing in the afternoon.

It reminds us cliff that we r human, I did the same thing opening day , took 3 shots an I was filling out the tag before I pulled the trigger on the first too funny ,that's hunting. Hell of a season love the videos good luck with the rest of your season

what loads are you shooting? Seems odd that those holes through the head didn't put him down. I have had buddies who have hit them with 6's at 45-50 yards and had that happen.

Nice video like your stuff cliff only thing I'd say is you influenced lots of hunters and by calling g out specific yards you or your gun can shoot gives people a false sense of what most are capable of as you saw even as good shot and gun you have at 45 yards you basically mortally wounded him not really a kill shot you yourself said you had to finish him off bear handed Like a goose . Congratulations great shooting great recovery but I feel 40 yards should be a max yardage for anyone if you set a yard and stick to it you'll be surprised how much better a hunter you become .a shotgun is and always was will be a short range weapon . Love ❤️ you man my dad rest in peace always said son if we get one great if not God still gave us an awesome day together enjoying his great outdoors .
