Ohh mann..what an accuracy..what a run up ..incredible swing bowling both coming in and out...treat to the eyes...one of the finest and most complete test bowler..! Take a bow Jimmy..may u continue to bowl for years to come 🙏
Man why don't you give him something like a world record or something???? This guy deserves huge respect! He's a master at bowling....... If I were a bowling coach, I would've loved this student of mine.......
@@hrwedsash but only in English conditions. Steyn and wasim akram are the bowler who dont need any conditions whether they are flat tracks or grassy pitches, they are effective equally... This is the reason bro that world cricket rate wasim akram, ambrose, Walsh ,Marshall ,McGrath, waqar higher than others....
Being able to swing the ball to that extent in Australia where it is easier to bounce, it is so creditable and appreciated! Great piece of bowling by Jimmy Anderson!🙏🏻
@@Umeed806 in that case Jimmy has his lion's share of wickets in overcast swinging conditions of England! Don't belittle legends whether it be muttaih or Jimmy
@@joeroot5761 yes obviously a swing bowler would perform better in actual swinging conditions. But Anderson is special because he can swing the ball on flat pitches too with the new ball, and then more dangerously reverse swing with the old ball. Wicket taking will be slow that way without pace, that's why Steyn seemed miles ahead of Anderson in that way, but in truth Anderson was just as consistent as anywhere else and he didn't let the pressure off the batsman.
@@anweshchatterjee7595 he is goat and root is also goat because he have a average of 50 in pitches where ball swing even after 50 overs and then the weather of England which help the ball swing more
Pitch was actually horibble bro. I wanted to see the fast bowler domination. But those dusty pitches ruin all the matches. It wasnt fun at all watchinh that test series. I would say previous australia tour was one of the best ive seen. Batting bowlig enjoyed everything. And as far as vaughan is concern he is mad he just need the point to raise.😀
@Mooky That was a one-off. The issue I have is when both teams get bowled out in a session and a half, that is just bad for cricket. If one team batted for 4 sessions, then I agree, the other team needs to improve. Idk 3rd test pitch wasn't suitable for cricket
@Mooky We are not living in the 50s. India didn't manage to bat for 3 sessions against the likes of Leach and Joe Root. That pitch is not suitable for international cricket
Strength is the last thing you lose. Flexibility and joints go before strength. I used to play rugby and coming up against an old prop was a nightmare. Still strong and knows all the tricks.
0:33 terrific ball by jimmy.....like what left hand fast bowlers did to right handed batsmen...very rare to see right arm fast bowlers did to left hand batsmen.... Always beauty to watch that the ball bowled outside and suddenly came in.........
He's unplayable with anything that supports swing, be it the Dukes ball or a pink ball, or pitch or overhead conditions. Without those he is the most consistent bowler and keeps troubling batsmen until they make a mistake or until he produces a beauty.
Jimmy Anderson’s swing bowling is a treat to eyes. What’s more amazing is that at this age he’s going so well. Fast bowlers don’t last so long owing to the wear and tear they go through as compared to spinners or batters. Truly a G.O.A.T.
Outswing to the right handed in swing to the left handed... best action , best pace , best line... one of the wonders of cricket history JAMES ANDERSON. .💥😎❤❤❤❤❤
Jimmy Anderson is a genuine phenomenon and freak due to his longevity and how his average has come down over the years. It’s worth noting that in over 70 matches since 2010 he’s averaging around 23 having taken well over 300 wickets in that time and crucially his overseas average since 2010 is only 28 which is decent in itself. Those are the kinds of stats that match up with quite a few great non English bowlers I can think of. He commands respect and is a threat wherever he plays now.
It's true. I'm English and I love to see Steve Smith get out but mainly because he is such a great player and so dangerous. I've been watching cricket for almost 50 years and he stands out as one of the best batsmen I've ever watched. He really understands what is required of a test batsman.
Jimmy still bowls fast medium and has been recorded at over 140 at least a dozen times over the last 2 years. He averaged about 140 when he was younger and basically hasnt lost any pace since he turned 30
He has a fantastic action line and length is so accurate nearly Everytime. One of the greatest in the world in test cricket but greatest English bowler
There is no doubt that the centre of gravity for cricket has moved away from Lords to the sub-continent. I'm glad to see how much people in India and Pakistan still love cricket. Look what's happened to the once great Windies. I hope that never happens in India/Pakistan/SL. Greetings from England and I hope the rest of the test series is well-balanced and exciting.
@@joshuarosen6242 but that has already happened with Sri Lanka dude. By the way hope that England win the pink ball test because thats the best conditions for them that they can expect in India
Jimmy is undoubtedly one of the greatest cricketers of all time. Broad can be brilliant and he can be awful. You never know which you are going to get. He can go from giving six sixes in an over to running through an on-form Aussie side in no time. Archer looks really promising but he's very young. Let's see how he develops.
Anderson will be sorely missed when he finally retires. He'll be 39 near the end of July, but he has kept himself in great shape and has rarely been injured. I don't think there are any young bowlers in England with the potential to become the next Jimmy Anderson. A great servant of English cricket.
Dominic Ray that was with pink ball which swings well otherwise he struggles when it doesn’t swing. He stopped touring sub continent as he can’t get any wickets here.
@@jitubhaskar4474 bhai do I need to show you videos and instances when he showed up regardless of the bowling conditions? He is a legendary bowler in and out of England
@@jitubhaskar4474 Dale Steyn has 178 wickets outside home, so he's also a home track bully right? Wrong he's considered to be a great bowler in all conditions, so is James Anderson
