You're reaction to this is just as pure as his singing. I actually discovered him at the end of 2021, when one of the contestants in the Show "The Masked Singer" (in Germany) sang this song and I immediately loved the song, so I checked out the original singer. And there he was. Mesmerizing. Only to find out couple of month later, that he would represent the UK in Eurovision. I wish he could have sung Tiny Riot there, but you can only apply with an unreleased song, so he went with "Space man" and came second in the competition. So Eurovision next year will be held in the UK =) Anyway, his career going through the roof since May and I couldn't be happier about it.

I really enjoyed your reaction to Sam. When I've heard him the first time I was impressed by his soulful voice and I was pretty sure that you would like him. He has actually got quite famous with short covers on Tik Tok where he has almost 10 million followers. There are not that many songs on his YT channel yet but at least some more to explore. BTW I think you should always link to the original videos in your desciption and to the artists' channels to give them credit.

I saw him first on the Eurivision Song Contest but he's been sharing on Tik Tok and Instagram for a couple of years, also singing at wedding parties, doing gigs etc. He has the most incredible set of pipes and a fantastic sense of humour. In compilations he can sing Freddie Mercury, Bee Gees, Blondie, MJ, Elton. to be honest anybody. To get an idea of his range check out the compliations people have made of his Tik Tok.

My son got me hooked on him, not too long ago,. He sounds like the love child of Chris Stapleton, Freddy Mercury, and Adele. . if you haven't heard it yet, listen to one of his other original "More". It will give you goosebumps.

In the UK, he is now nicknamed "THE voice". His vocals are so diverse, he can sing any genre; rock, pop, country, rhythm & blues, house, etc. An incredibly talented singer/songwriter. His other live performance "More" which is live in the Victoria & Albert Museum, London is another incredible live video. The acoustics are a dream :)

I loved watching your face as you listened to this superb song. I came late to the party - never even knew he was the guy who came 2nd at last year's Eurovision. The song he did for that was good, but nowhere hear as good as Riot, which is hands down the best song I have ever heard, and I'm heading into the second half of my sixties. There are a number of versions on RU-vid, and currently I favour the orchestral one. The album version is a bit toned down, but the live ones on YT give me shivers every time. Unbeatable. And the lyrics - wow, the UK really needs to listen to the lyrics right now.

You took a chance on me, so I'm going to watch this together with you. So it started with a very nice piano accompaniment so you know you have me already. Singer has a LOT of soul. I could hear a bit of Freddie dynamics in that part. Tiny bit. I was hearing more Motown style of timbre. Style wise the music is far from that genre. Very nice, quite unique. To be honest it was giving me ideas. ✌️💖👍

Check out Sam's cover of Take Me to Church - an experience and a half. And he has a new release, Mountain. The song that shot him to public attention in Europe, Spaceman, the UK entry for Eurovision, has become a classic. He would have won the contest by a mile except for the massive public vote for Ukraine, for non-musical reasons. Sam is also a genuinely nice guy. Sam's problem has been that of a number of enormously talented singers who can sing almost anything - record labels like to pigeonhole artists, and if you can't be put into a neatly labelled box, they don't know how to market you. Sam took to RU-vid, with a startling series of shorts where he sings parts of well-known songs, correctly reckoning that this would get him maximum exposure

The amount of practice that goes into that is enormous insane mastery of his craft and I guess he would even become better. As I saw him first and I didn't know it's about that kind of singing I thought he is a Stoner guy who sings gritty grunge like styles like AIC or Nirvana.

He’s not a stoner guy but he was in some rock bands 10 years ago and his early influences are Iron Maiden, Queen and Sum 41. He has learned a lot since then.

I've been following him on tik tok and have been in mad love with him ever since. His voice is phenomenal. and that is an understatement. he made the number 2 spot in the eurovision song contest losing only because of sympathy votes for Ukraine. still number 1 in my heart!❤
