Love this. We have been able to access some Equine therapy (horses), and the person teaches how horses are naturally good at grounding? Their four legs are on the ground and most times they are grazing so even their head is towards the ground. And she also says that they’re experts at releasing energy from feelings - so that they can move on and not be stuck in a feeling/state. So horses are grazing, they hear a noise, their head goes up, ears pointing around to listen (lizard brain checking for danger), and once they see ‘oh it’s a kangaroo in the next paddock, all good’ they might do an out-breath (the funny horse out breath noise), and go back to grazing. Now that’s a SMALL release of energy. - it could be a run around the paddock, rolling, shaking their head/mane, etc etc And the aim is to learn and see how horses do it, while exploring ways of releasing energy that work for us (everyone is different - like how you find the running/walking helpful) So loved hearing how you’re exploring that too. Also love Carolyn Spring - she hits the nail on the head a lot.
