It’s getting dark and gloomy out there - stay safe on the trails 👍👍👍

That ladder workout sounds suitably intense! Hopefully all the twinges go away soon.

Yes intense is the word to describe it - good thing is you know it will end at some point

Easy runs need to be easy, the same words that run through my mind. Then the voice of lets get this done and get home and eat, “pick up the pace” 😳😉 great content thanks, have a great weekend everyone.

Love the videos Adam. I did my first 100 miler two weeks ago and your videos have been so useful in my preparation. Keep up the great work!

Thanks Adam - so good to hear I’ve helped. 🥳Which race?

@@ultrarunneradam It was an event called Escape from Meriden. More of a challenge than out and out race.

Solid stuff Adam! Kudos on getting out there and getting it done on that grim Wednesday! Looking forward to giving the octopus a whirl at some point too. Keep up the great work mate! 😎🤘🏻

Great detailed breakdown. Did you write the plan yourself? Well done for adding the strength training... It's the little things that add up!

Yes - this time. I had a coach for 2 years and still will go back there - but having a go myself as I have future coaching goals 👍 🥸🧠

Know what you mean, the last 9 days home isolating with whole family hit by C19, all seems ok .. got back to ez running yesterday on the treadmill… ez does it! As Ben said, I am keen to get down and try the octopus 🐙

That’s tough. Hope all ok. We are yet to be hit but it’s getting closer with kids at school etc - love to see you at a GTR session - you’d had VVIP status!! 🤩🤩

Hi Adam, Great video yet again. A recently new subscriber but have watched a number of your previous videos (especially those based around Centurion Events).. Will be signing up for my first 100 miler (2022 Centurion Autumn 100) soon and even though there is a good deal of time before then do you think that it would be beneficial to be running a certain level of distance (either in terms of regular Long Run or Weekly Mileage) before starting a specific training program for getting ready to tackle the distance??
@ultrarunneradam
@ultrarunneradam 2 года назад
It’s all very individual- I can perform on 40-50 miles weeks and maybe 3 weeks closer to race of 60-70. But within that as you can see there a lot going on. NO JUNK MILES. But yes 12-16 weeks before your A race id like to see a solid 30 mile weeks injury free - with a little speed work scattered - then your set to start a training plan 👍👍

Thanks Adam I'm at a bit of a starting again point at the moment so the thought of completing the A100 is still a little daunting but to my mind its the perfect one to make a 1st attempt at the distance due the nature of always returning to the 'home base' in Goring. I am also looking to do a 50K based just outside of Goring in May as well so the build up to that will put me in to a good place before entering into the Training Block for the A100.. One thing that I think will help also is that I am lucky enough to live reasonably close to Goring (can travel easily by train) so therefore I will be able to do a lot of training on the Legs of the course Specifically leg 2 & 3 as these are the ones away from the Thames Path.

@@redalex7613 you’ve done some 50 milers right?
@redalex7613
@redalex7613 2 года назад
I’ve done the one the NDW 50 and a few more 50ks So have the distance mindset but obviously the jump to 100 is a big one! Lockdown hasn’t been good to my running a complete loss of Mojo after completing a 100 mile week as part of Centurions first Virtual event!
@ultrarunneradam
@ultrarunneradam 2 года назад
@@redalex7613 ideally see if you can get another 50 miler in before a100 as they test the body better and you get the right understanding - 100 still doable though for anyone - just got to sign up first 😂😂
