@@sammyhill69 Not really. Assuming we’ve beaten Wycombe but Bolton also win next week, then beating Derby would keep us 9 points above Bolton with 5 games left likely securing automatic promotion. I think it’s only going to be a title decider if we don’t beat Wycombe and Derby beat Blackpool and Northampton.
Fulham Fan but I go uni in Portsmouth, love the club been too two home games, everything about Pompey is special. Obviously still Fulham home and away but Portsmouth has cemented a place in my heart
Swindon Town fan here, well done Pompey, my gran lives in Denton St, she's the one with the blue curtains, pop in and see her, she will make you a nice cuppa. Be good to see Portsmouth in the Championship next season .. Pompey v Southampton cant wait !
Thank you to the owners for stability and progression… thank you to Rich Hughes for the fantastic recruitment… Thank you to John Mousinho for the brilliant football… Love to the players and the fans. PUP ❤
Yengi could've easily played Bishop through 1 on 1, but I love that he backed himself to beat his man and score instead. Would've been bad if he hadn't but shows a great mentality from the lad.
He may also have in the back of his mind that Bishop is playing superbly in support (it's his pass that sets up this goal and his run into the box that keeps the other four defenders out of the way) but not banging them in as he was at the start of the season.
A fabulous win & a huge statement win. We have some toes in the championship. This 🦖 in his 50th season of watching Pompey is bouncing with joy. PUP ⚽️💙
Well done on winning the league, Pompey. I tip me hat to Mr Mousinho and the whole organisation. The club has some of the best support going. I'll be following next season's exploits closely. Can't wait to see how Yengi adapts to the Championship. From Oz.
Yesss get in. I would have taken a draw against Peterborough but my goodness what a result. On the home straight now and that finish line towards promotion is another step closer. Our destiny is right in our hands now lads. UP THE BLUES 🔵 ⚪ 🔵
Yeah, I agree. When everything was nil nil with us and also Bolton and Derby I was just praying it would stay like that. To get the win is just massive.
@@matthills22 wow really!? That’s surprising but given the success we’ve had recently with signing players and them going on to the championship and higher (Ivan Toney) maybe he thought we were the better option
Pompey 99% certain to automatic promotion following these results, just two more wins from six games. Game against Derby, a win would make us champions.
I’ll be honest I think Portsmouth will go up now. I thought it was quite certain after the Bolton game earlier in the season but then they became really nervy. But after recent form I think it’s back under control
Great result, dispite injury list.Well played Gavin Whyte, with confidence will be a great plus.Yengi must start....finally great commentry from Andy Moon & Whittingham...cheers Radio Solent!!!!PUP!!!
That just tops of my 36th year as a season ticket holder the limbs went the way proper supports should the blues are on the way back football league get your ear defenders out
'Cos the ref was American where they are more lax, which is also why he wasn't throwing yellow cards around like confetti. The American refs are in dispute over pay and conditions, so the best of them (FIFA affiliated) are looking for work over here. I thought he did really well - compared to some dreadful refs we've had in recent games.
Don't they need the money? It's a good payday for the Posh. As one of the Peterborough fans says on his RU-vid video - the ground normally isn't that full nor has that atmosphere...
