My prayers are still going out for those areas that are still being restored in Texas. May God continue to provide and send forth restoration. Thank you for taking us on a special road trip today. I just made the 16 bean soup mix. I used my ham bone for the base. I had chopped up some ham for seasoning. Made some cornbread homemade. Sent it on over to my neighbor who just got out the hospital. Good morning Chef. I love these country road trips. I love the scenery.Oxtails are expensive at the grocery store.Great that you can get them free. I love the farmers markets. I would feel like a kid in a candy store. I like the way they package their produce. I have Shopped in both of those grocery Stores a many of times before in the Past ! Most of the time When there is Something that You might need or either Want meat-wise there You just ring that meat departments button for any kind of meat Question's.

Hi Jeffery, we have several meat stores where I live but not as big as that store. We grow a garden and have our on watermelons and can lops . Very sweet ones . Prices is higher out there than in N.C. Love to watch your trips.

Another road trip I am loving. I really enjoy your videos. I could have enjoyed a longer drive. I love moon cookies as well. They use to have these plain soft lemon cookies that I loved I don't see them anymore. They weren't sandwich cookies, they were kind of thick and soft. I agree Brookshire have good fried chicken. They have the older women back there cooking not these kids😅. Thanks for sharing again 🙏 🙂

Good afternoon, Chef Jeffrey, I love going to small town stores because you can find and afford items as well as see old-time favorite that you don't see in large supermarkets. Those cranberry beans that you were showing us are similar to Roman beans very tasty. Normally, I will put them in a pot with my smoke meats and season them to my liking and serve them with rice and corn bread(comfort foods). I always keep a package of those beans in my cabinet for rainy days. I like the term "KISS" for days like that one. 😊

Hello Chef, I found myself a seeded watermelon 🍉 and it cost me around seven dollars for it and the seedless watermelon was $ 4.97. I never did like the peanut patties. Those small stores generally have good prices and that's where I go to get my turkey necks and I stack up on them. Thanks for the video and be blessed 🙌

Chef i continued to watch the haul and had to come back with another comment. I haven't had fried chicken necks in a long time, my Mom love those too fried hard with hot sauce and a slice of bread. Think I'll buy me a pack today and fry them Friday. That sure is a wonderful deal on those chitterlings. Smithfield is a good brand also. They're not real dirty. Thanks again for the memories. Ima make that drive for those chitterlings. 😊

I'm from Louisiana Caddo Parish, and we have Brookshires there . They have the deli as well and the fried chicken is one of their biggest sellers they also have fried catfish that I always get. I love the small town grocery stores thats where we go to get fresh chicken and pork chops.

Puruano beans aka Canary beans are Peruvian and have a mild taste like butter beans. Cook the same way as other beans and serve with lime, cilantro and onions.
