Yuta-san, do you think the guy who said Fate/Stay Night has read the visual novel? I did one of the first English fan translations right after it heard about. Because I couldn’t read Japanese at all before I started the translation I couldn’t understand the content warning. Maybe I should have waited, but if I didn’t do that translation, the English-speaking fan community for the Fate/ franchise would probably be a lot smaller than it is now... 😂
can you tell us what the swastika-like shape that we when Tokyo Revengers is mentioned means? I think you know that in the West, that symbol, um err....you get the idea.
@@gergom.8310 Well, I’ve been living in Japan for a few years now. But seeing Sora while I was in Tokyo for a holiday was definitely awesome. I was so hungover that day as well 😂
6:08 MASSIVE respect to this dad who doesn't seem to keep up with newer anime but still willing to spend time with his daughter and support her hobbies
Fair, but she seems plenty old enough to take care of herself. Not saying he's overprotective because we see them together once for less than a minute but the question is in my mind
The guy mentioning Wallace and Gromit was confusing to me at first, until I remembered that "anime" is the Japanese word for all cartoons, regardless of their country of origin. Then it made sense.
@@cartoonhanks1708 Why would he be? He's Japanese, in Japan and thinking in Japanese. Over there, "anime" means any cartoon and "manga" means any comic. It's us gaijin that have appropriated these words to mean "Japanese comics" and "Japanese cartoons".
I'm a Love Live fan, have been for a long time and will be for as long as I can be. It's good to see that Love Live and other idol (and band) series are STILL really popular. I worry about them phasing out, but I see that fans will keep supporting them for plenty of time to come!
wow Sora the Troll san!! I recently started watching him, he's very funny and unique..! 😆 It's good to know he likes Anpan Man and do proffessional voice over!😳
You need to sign in first, i forgot but there's a link that you're supposed to click, its been a year since i clicked it but even now im still receiving his short vids on mail
All I have to say is, if someone in Akiba hates on Steins Gate, we throwin hands! Also, I love Sora The Troll!!! I've watched him for a year or so, like a while before apple guy and discord girl were the main things. He's the funniest
A guy who stream sniped Sora told him that Yuta was filming a video and Sora wanted to go talk to Yuta but was too shy to do so. Then his viewers asked him to go and he went but was kind of akward because he said he admires Yuta.
Yes. Sora said he respects Yuta, and we could see he didn't want to impolitely interrupt his filming. I'm happy they were able to chat. Yuta seems like such a nice young man.
I remember seeing Yuta when he was filming this video. I didn’t want to interrupt so I just waived from a distance and he said “Someone is waiving at me” LOL Love ya Yuta!
I was Team Miku for the first season but definitely leaning more towards Nino since the second season. The worst part about this series is that all of them are a good choice.
4:58 - Shoutouts to Girls Last Tour! It's a very unique series and one that I recommend. It kind of makes you think about life and the things we take for granted. Also, it's a really pleasant surprise to hear people talking about older series that aren't "in the spotlight" anymore. We usually hear about popular anime/manga and forget about the ones that came before. It's good to go back and watch/read older anime/manga, as they very often still hold up today. 9:01 - Holy crap! Little Busters fan!! Hell yes, I love his shirt. Anything by KEY is an emotional rollercoaster and Little Busters is my favourite. It's fantastic to see fans of Little Busters, so I need to give this man the credit he deserves!
The best part about anime is there is something for everyone. I like the ones that are based on hobbies, like Blue Period (art), Welcome to the Ballroom (dance), Dr. Stone (science), Food Wars (cooking), and of course, Slam Dunk.
Then you should watch Kingdom, Golden Kamuy & Vinland Saga for History, Bakuman for Manga & Billy bat for consp theories I also recommend Gin no Saji for Agricultural science and Animal husbandry. (There are also Grand Blue for Diving & GTO for Teaching lessons)
Spoiler alert for dr stone I like dr stone but sometimes it's a bit too "kid-like" for me. Which is a shame because when I first watched it I really really like the concept. What I mean by this is that they seriously have people hunting them down to kill them and their response is to break their weapons with katana and let then run off? Like, ni fighting at all, ni scars, they didn't even try to throw them in jail. Come on guys, they are a group if hunters that are purposely targeting you guys and won't give up until you are dead. Surex they're strong, so it's hard to apprehend them but still they no longer have weapons, you guys have katanas and outnumber them. If they try to leave then fucking slice their heads off. It's just so frustrating when watching scenes like that, that I decided to stop watching. Even if they don't want to kill them then at least take them to prison or something like what MHA does. Honestly, the scene is as equivalent as watching dora going "swiper no swiping" and then swiper goes "oooh man" and runs away. Yeah, it does have the same vibe. so, to conclude I'd love that anime but only back when I was like 4-12 years old. Also, would definitely want my kids to watch it growing up.
Wow props to the LoGH fan. That's a response I thought I'd never see on these Akiba street interviews. He mentioned Sawano though, so he's probably talking about the new one, Die Neue These
That's very interesting! People in the western world and even South Korea Watches lots of anime but I'm pretty sure these mentioned animes aren't that popular there, obviously. I guess Japanese people get access to literally every anime so no need to pick out mainstream or pretty deep ones
@@HackedPC I also not a native😅, but what I mean here is Japan looks very small when you can see two great youtuber meet, I know it was Akihabara, but it's still Japan, right?
8:35 That one Japanese man who said Wallace and Gromit, and well it’s not that strange of a choice, since there’s that one Glico commercial featuring Wallace and Gromit (and Shaun the Sheep)
Oregairu is literally the best rom com for me. Period. Give me Yukino ANYDAY Quintessential quintuplets is amazing. Bokuben is also a great one. Happy someone brought up Ghost in the Shell. Was one of my first animes. I loved it.
@@xDavid831 Not really crazy Oregairu can be quite confusing if you don't understand what's going on, especially season 2. It's the reason why a lot of people say you should watch/read the show multiple times.
please do this kind of videos yearly or twice a year, its so interesting for an outsider like me to know what anime is currently popping off in japan xD or maybe do a version which you ask what kind of western/foreign show they currently like/watching!
I was waiting on this! I was watching that live stream of Sora’s and It was so awesome you guys happened to be in the same place at the same time. He was waving his trash the whole time and he was so excited to meet you too it seems. Adorable. 💕 Also S made an appearance on this video too! ? We got to see that awesome USA shirt again…🤗
0:06 Genshin Impact big poster there , YES! < 3 Nice job Akihabara ! 5:01 The anime is amazing; although I wish I hadn´t read until the end of the manga.
I feel like Akihabara is the place for the idols fans, we have more diversity compared to the past videos you have made but there is still a lot of love live/idolm@ster fan at those places For me, if I had to say an Anime I loved for this year, it would definitely be Non Non Biyori Nonstop, it just put me up constantly in a good mood and I felt so good watching this, it is a iyashikei in the sense that I feel that it healed my soul somehow and I love the scenery of the japanese countryside If I had a project of life, it would be something like in Non Non Biyori, I love the countryside so much
Oh my goodness!! I never thought someone would mention A3! Even though it's a game, it's anime was made and it is honestly really good. Sad that the EN version has stopped with the stories. And I would have liked to see the live event if possible irl
Always get so excited when I see someone has the same best girl as me or who likes Love Live. My entire channel is surrounded around Love Live.... Such an addicting series!! Must watch!!
I was worried that they would mention every idol anime but Love Live when someone finally mentions it. I was so happy!!!!! And 2 out of 3 prefer u's!!!!! I do like Aqours, but is like the woman said, u's are the ones who became legends. If it wasn't for them, Love Live wouldn't be as big as it is (both inside and out of the anime). It was even said before that is thanks to u's that the Love Live competition can be hold in Tokyo Dome. It's just a shame no one mention Nijigaku or Liella. Specially, Liella. They have a huge potential. Like, just listen to Non Fiction or Tokonatsu Sunshine or Mirai Yohou Hallelujah or Mirai wa Kaze no Youni or whatever song you want.
Yuta this video slapped. And I am glad what is popular in rest of world is truly popular in Japan like Jujutsu Kaisen, Attack on Titan, and even idol Anime. I am watching Aot from season 1 up to season 4 now and I plan to watch most of the Idol Anime they said cause I am very much sucker for Musical Anime. Really liked this one. Glad people are enjoying good Animes and not so overplayed Issekai.
Seems like anime is becoming more and more popular in Japan I have hardly found anyone saying super popular shows like "NGNL" "HxH" "Made in Abbyss" in previous such episodes proving that there are more and more casuals nowadays
At 0:48 there’s actually someone who likes BanG Dream! Honestly, it’s not that popular of an anime, and the animation isn’t the best, but the story is very cool and the game is awesome too. You guys should really check it out!
8:00 everything that guy said is exactly what I feel about modern anime and old one. I also have been watching old animes like shakugan no shana and art club has a problem.
I honestly expected Sora to do something cringe in nervousness, but well I'm not disappointed tho 9:00 his friend was like wtf this guy? I don't know him lol
Right now I’m in to Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon, and patiently waiting until Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba season 2 comes out. Also watching Fire Force and A Certain Scientific Railgun but I’ve paused those until I’ve finished Yashahime.
It's surprising no one said demon slayer considering how much successful it is in japan. Also i heard mha has huge girls fanbase but mostly there were boys who mentioned it. And we saw a real levi fangirl.
Higurashi finally getting some love. To anyone wanting to get into Higurashi I recommend the visual novel. It's a bit slow at first but it's a much much better experience than the anime which is insanely rushed. Also, the visual novel is an absolute masterpiece and I'm not using the word lightly. It's quite possibly among the best mysteries in any media ever.
As for me i really like Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de aru (all the chapters that have been shown in the anime Washio Sumi chapter, Yuuki Yuuna chapter, Hero chapter and the latest Great Mankai chapter which also features 2 other chapters from the LN which are Kusunoki Mebuki chapter and Nogi Wakaba chapter). Though i hope Wakaba chapter will get it's own anime adaptation after the Dai-Mankai chapter because seriously, cramming everything in just 4 episodes is not good. I also like; *Saiki Kusuo Psi-nan *Gabriel Dropout *Jashin-chan Dropkick *Cautious Hero *Gintama *Boku no Hero Academia *Himouto Umaru-chan *Code Geass *Love Live Sunshine *Love Live Nijigasaki ... These days i'm kind of sick of anime that have Overpowered MC, it makes me feel like the villain lose their purpose when the MC is so fcking broken and can squash them with just a single attack. Also makes the fight scenes boring for me if the MC is so OP...That's why i've just settled for more Comedy, and Slice of life types of anime. And Mahou shoujo genre with dark theme like Yuuki Yuuna and Madoka Magica, i also like Magia Record a lot.
