They're in college. They need to transition from the ridiculous branding and distressed stuff to more fitted, tailored stuff that is more in good taste. It seems like they will be as caught off guard as my generation was when we graduated college. It can be a sudden transition, a rude awakening, when jumping into the work world. High school is the time for the outrageous neon/ripped pants/experimental stuff. College is time to get as much practice as possible with classic stuff and to learn the difference between casual, work casual, business casual, business formal, other types of formal (ie. weddings, funerals, etc) and so forth. It takes a couple of years to actually get good at it. It's better to start practicing freshman year so that you have it down perfect by the time you graduate.

Those international students (especially those from mainland China) come from very wealthy families. Most of their parents are businessmen or senior officials in China. But one of their disadvantages is that they don't like to socialize with native Americans. Most of them only hang out with other students who are also from China. And their spoken English is generally not very good。
