Not really a question but I just realized that machined springs as well as things like welded bellows are also compliant mechanisms - I've actually used both of those not only as flexible shaft couplers but as shock absorption devices that can be dialed in with precision if need be as well as used in heavy applications such as seismic treatment of skyscrapers and connected structures. Compliant mechanisms can spin 360° and more but as far as infinitely rotating assemblies, no, but anything using wiring and able to oscillate or take long unwinds, et al, can't use infinitely rotating assemblies to any improvement plus it's focused on shedding energy rather than storing it, which compliant mechanisms *can* do even while performing their regular function(s). Also as far as materials - I've been wondering if the place you guys get your plastics compounded can make you filament instead of just dogbones for strain testing, because if so then you can print with your casein/graphene blend. It will still be subject to standard issues like delamination weakness and finish/surface quality but the source material is not only stronger than CF it also shouldn't shred your extrusion nozzle, which any filament containing hard/strong structural particles or fibers will do. Since the graphene is blended in and it's very small particles then it shouldn't be as abrasive; I am assuming a lot, but honestly even if I was vegetarian I could still use milks for plastics and in the US there has been massive overproduction of milk for a while. If one could contract with dairies to take product that doesn't pass muster for human/animal consumption all of that could be upcycled into plastic. I think what I'm calling "the democratization of everything" is going to hit a breaking point soon and it will be mainstreamed out of necessity - some real fun can be had if you check out "The Global Village Construction Set" on Appropedia; lots of people contributed to what's basically open source DIY heavy equipment. Thanks for all the time you guys take to record and put up videos for us to watch and learn from.

That is interesting a spring is a compliant mechanism, never thought like that but you are right. So my car and ball point pen has them; the biggest and littlest thing I own.
