It depends on the style and strength of geogrid. Uniaxial geogrid is generally more flexible which allows it to give a little and reach peak strength in retaining walls and reinforced slopes while biaxial geogrid is more rigid for horizontal applications like roadways and parking lots. Also, generally the higher the strength of the biaxial or extruded geogrid the more plastic and therefore the more stiffness in the geogrid.
