In the workplace INFPs are typically quiet and friendly. Although INFPs can work independently on tasks, they typically prefer to collaborate in small groups of like-minded individuals. Including a lot of teamwork will annoy and frustrate this type. INFPs are looking for more than a job, they want a purpose.They want to know that what they’re doing aligns with their values and is contributing positively to the world. That's why INFPs are unsuited for jobs where they have to sit quietly at a desk all the time, doing computer work. INFPs value their freedom. It means that they feel uncomfortable when someone tries to control or regulate them. Being over-managed or controlled by others, or trying to live up to other people's expectations, is not only restrictive to an INFP, but it is also deeply insulting. This personality prefers freedom in their work and doesn't understand the point of implementing schedules or regulations just for the sake of having them.
Because INFPs take everything so personally, they are an obvious target for people who are blunter or just unhealthy. The INFP may appear to be unconcerned when others criticize them, but in reality, they take everything to heart and dwell on it, obsessively analyzing the comments and trying to figure out what they did wrong.
