Polyurethane floors are usually softer and more elastic than epoxy. This makes them more resistant to scratching as their elasticity tends to absorb some of the impact. The elasticity of PU floors also makes them a preferred choice in freezing chambers where the storage temperature can reach -30 degrees Celsius (-22 F). They are also a good choice for multideck car-parks since the elastic coating can act as a waterproofing and crack-bridging layer.
Polyurethane floors can be easily modified to extend or limit their pot life, re-coat time as well as the total curing time. This flexibility enables contractors to complete PU floors in a much shorter space of time .With PU you could effectively start a multicoat project on Friday and hand it over on Monday. Epoxy floors are much less flexible in this respect in the sense that they usually require 7 days to fully cure.
In general polyurethanes are harder to work with. Their limited pot life and sensitivity to humidity require very well trained and experienced staff. Personally I refuse to supply inexperienced teams with PU floor resins. Too many things can go wrong.

Hello, I've watched all your videos! They are so helpful! I currently have a microcement floor, coated with a "a water-borne urethane acrylic protection.." However I am not happy with the colour/texture and I want to re-coat it. I was wondering what kind of chemical (urethane or epoxy or water or solvent or :S) coloured topcoat I can use over it? Or what kind of primer I need first? If possible I just want to use a coloured topcoat to fix the colour/texture.. If it is not possible, I am thinking of rolling PU over it and then using a clear coat over the PU? Is coating necessary over PU for a bedroom? Is a matte/satin finish clear coat available over PU? Sorry for so many questions.. I am so lost..

I actually think epoxy primer works best for such situations, but its best to find a company that has the PU coatings and they will provide the right advice for all the steps that you mention. Some companies have matte clear coats for PU,but again best find a company that can address all these issues

You can have a look at this article here learncoatings.com/epoxy-disasters-working-with-clear-coats/. I don't have any video on clear coats on RU-vid although I do talk about them in my online course

Hi, i just make a outdoor concrete/metal staircase, the steps are concrete, can you recommend me what i should use?

I would recommend an aliphatic polyurethane. Don't use epoxy as it will go yellow and peel in the sun. Also since these are stairs you may want to make the texture a bit rougher with quartz sand to prevent slipping especially if the surface is wet
