Fight dirty, go for the balls, grab twist, you win. Alternatively, go for eyes, pull tendons, inflict special Hellish pain that lasts.

As an experienced fighter I would say that all the tips for someone with no fighting experience are like tips for someone with no experience in being a lawyer. Sure, you can kinda get around some situations that aren't that serious with faking confidence or doing one simple move that often works in easy cases, but ultimately I would prefer not giving any advice at all to avoid creating a wrong sense of competence that might end up doing more harm than its worth.

"There are no rules in a fight." I was in the supermarket one day, a long time ago, and this snot decided he wanted a piece of me. I reached behind me as he was growing his balls by talking crap, grabbed a bottle of bleach, and opened it. He shut up, looked at the bottle, and looked at me, a bit startled. I said, "Go on, you were saying?" I lied. There is one rule in a fight: Live.
@alenasenie6928
@alenasenie6928 3 года назад
that can barely be understood as a fight, also, if a person knows how to fight will immediately know the options, one, you trow the bleach at them, to avoid great damage just move quickly of the way and use a shield, be it an object or your own back, option two, you trow the bottle open, that is easier since is basically the same but with a solid object instead of the liquid, third, you are bluffing, anyways, a person that knows how to fight is not picking random fights over nothing, you learn how to fight to not use it ever if you are lucky, i used it against two thief that tried to steal in my house, i didn't even needed to trow a punch, the stance was clear enough, if they tried anything against me they would have ended up in the hospital instead of in prison (and then go to prison)

Would you rather break your fist on someone’s face or them hit you so hard they break their fist on your face? Dunno about you but I’d much rather take a palm strike to my face than a closed fist breaking my orbital bone, it’s very unlikely you’ll break your knuckles and you would not notice it dur in a fight, never seen 1 fight where someone breaks their fist and stops, not only that but you have 2 fists 2 elbows 2 knees, 2 legs and 1 head, breaking your fist isn’t gonna stop the fight anyway, palm strikes are practically useless compared to a closed fist

Here's some tips from someone with experience teaching practical martial arts: -Running is not always an option, and SELF defense is not the only reason to fight. You may be surrounded, caught by surprise, panic and freeze in place, need to protect someone else from an attacker, need to separate other people fighting, etc... so don't fool yourself thinking that you can just not fight all of the time, and basic fighting skills are IRREPLACEABLE in those situations. -If you don't know any grappling and you get grappled, fight dirty, and when I say dirty, I mean DIRTY. Bite whatever gets close enough to your mounth, as if you were trying to take a piece out. Pull his hair back to punch him in the nose. Eyes and testicles are a no brainer, just be careful with permanent damage to the eyes as it can be treated as excessive force by your country's laws. If you're on the ground, do not let him get up or open space between you two, or he will be able to punch and kick you freely, so if you're at the bottom, glue yourself to him and don't let go until you know you can get up somewhat safely. -Protect your head. Keeping your arms up will help against attacks you would't be able to react quickly enough, and if you have no experience, that's most attacks, so keep those arms shielding your head. -Improvise weapons. Loose stones, dirt/sand/mud, chairs, bicycles, or really anything that is hard and heavy enough. Throwing large objects is great not only to maybe hurt the attacker, but also serve as obstacles, so you can facilitate your escape or bide your time until help arrives. Using your enviroment as obstacles is also great, use trees, lampposts, street signs, doors, stairs, tables, etc to make it harder for your attacker to get to you. -YOU WILL NOT BE UNSCATHED, endure whatever hits you take and keep going. If you stop because of the pain or injuries, you'll become a punching bag. -Your ego is not as important as your life, if you can stop the fight by pleading, do it. It's not worth it taking a beating to protect your ego, even just a couple of punches are potentially fatal due to internal hemorrage. -If you don't know how to kick well, don't kick unless your opponent is completely off balance. If you're mediocre at kicking, stick to the very basics, no kicking higher than the stomach, it's not worth the risk of being unbalenced. If you're VERY good at kicking do whatever you feel confident in doing, just don't overdo it. Some people will say high kicks are to risky to use in real fights, well, some people never took a front kick to the chin. But again, ONLY kick if you have enough experience with kicks, this bit of advice is a bit outside of the "no experience" theme, but it is a pet peeve of mine, so I had to talk about it :v -Avoiding the fights is of course ideal, but we do not live in an ideal world, so sometimes even if you do your best not to fight, it will not be enough. How likely it is to get in a fight depends mostly on where you are, so your best bet to avoid fights is to live and work in a peaceful neighborhood, but of course that's not an option for everyone, so, reinforcing my first point, basic fighting skills are IRREPLACEBLE. -If you want to be able to hold your own in a fight, go train, there's no magic solution to it. Not even weapons like guns, tasers or peper spray are a substitute, as in a real fight you'll most of the time not have enough time to pull your weapon before the fight starts.

It's hard. Because sometimes in a life or death situation, the gang of people will fight for BLOOD. So even if you fight dirty, the group will take turns jumping on your head, or stomping on your neck. They don't care if you die. I just stay inside anyways at all times. It's a bit inevitable when you get in these life or death fights. I've seen people on the internet who fight dirty after getting jumped get their eye kicked out, and others had their skull caved in by a tire iron. By gangs. You always need to fight in these scenarios when you are cornered, but most of the time in situations like you describe. It will be difficult with no experience.
@DingleDobber
@DingleDobber 2 года назад
This. If it's a truly dangerous situation and you've got no choice, do whatever. Don't worry about anything. You don't know when, or if they're gonna stop. Number one advice for getting in a fight - don't, unless there is no other option. It should be a last resort.
@mategetsnosleep3612
@mategetsnosleep3612 2 года назад
Also don’t always aim for the head. Your skull is VERY HARD, your knuckles probably aren’t as hard as someone’s skull and you might break it. The stomach area is very weak to attacks, if you hit someone correctly there they might crumple.

None of this advice matters if you can’t stay calm. I must say this is really bad advice. If you're in a serious fight your job isn't to stay calm and avoid being injured, it's to make sure you knock the opposition out before you can get hit. I'm pretty sure the flourish I do with my machete is I bit faster than most people can see. And people can tall I train with it because of the cuts on my body. So Tell me. If I'm not afraid of cutting myself with this big blade that has a saw on the other side, how likely am I to be afraid of you? Not to mention I train throwing knives jic my opponent has a gun, because it's hard to aim while you're dodging. And honestly most people decide not to fight me, I look too eager, I start getting shaky and they start worrying. There are three structural weaknesses that no amount of training can make a person fully resistant to its effects. The knee: the largest and most exposed joint on the human body. The Solarplexus: An area just underneath the sternum that is a part of the diaphragm that controls breathing. Lastly an area between the jaw and the ear, a direct hit with decent force is a near-certain knockout. You don't always need to win the fight, wish them luck chasing you with a broken leg, or standing straight when they can't breathe.

If you’re heavier than they are, tackle them and make it a ground game. Weight is the number one factor when it comes to a fight, especially when both combatants aren’t trained fighters. If you are lighter than they are, don’t let them get close to you, run away, find a weapon, find any tool that can help you keep them off of you. If you are equal weight, be prepared to get hit. Life isn’t an anime or a MMA fight where you are going to be dodging and weaving to open up the perfect spot for a punch. As Mike Tyson has said, “Everyone has a plan until they get punched.” Strike first of the situation calls for it, or at least be prepared to take a shot to the face or nose. Punches hurt, but they hurt more when you’re unprepared.

Quick Tip if you dont know how to fight: Just don't fight, run, or do anything but fighting. You can cause more damage to yourself than the other if you don't know how to give a proper punch or kick, and the risk of hurting yourself is higher than you could think. I went to Tae-Kwon-Do for 5 years (i was a kid, i think i finished when i was 14 or 15 but still) and i got to the last belt before black (idk how its called in english, but basically a red belt with a black tip, at least thats how it is here). I wasn't very good at it, and didn't really was into it 100% but even if i was really focused on it i would try to always dont get into fights, unless you are a really experienced martial artist (probably at least 10 years of practice). My teacher always taught us to, first, don't use our knowledge to damage others, only for self defense, and second, to avoid fights everytime we could specially if the other has any sort of weapons, consumed alcohol or drugs before, etc... To give a proper punch (from what i remember) you have to close your hand with the thumb outside the fingers, and punch only with the knuckles of index and middle fingers. This is because those are the biggest and strongest knuckles of your hand, and it helps to not twist your wrist (you can try it with a wall, not punching just posing your hand in that position, and see how if you use any other knuckles your wrist will twist). Your other hand should go in the side of your hip, closed with the thumb outside too, with the palm pointing up. Now the legs: If you use your right hand to punch, your right leg should go to the back and the left in front. This is mostly because stability. I may be wrong because i don't remember exactly how it was, so if anyone knows please tell me, but thats what i remember you should do to give a correct punch. Of course this in a real fight would be way sloppier or even useless, specially the legs and the other hand's position. Now to defend yourself against a punch or even a kick; With the outside part of your wrist, doing kind of a circular motion outwards, you try to touch the other's inside part of the wrist. It will probably hurt a little if you aren't used to it, but the person punching will feel it way more. Again, maybe im missing something. Giving a kick is more difficult than what it seems. There are multiple types; Front kick, given with the metatarsus (basically the "palm" of the foot, but the part that its just below the fingers). Normally given to the other's front torso, and it can be given to the head. Not very contundent but its pretty robust and can push easily. Side kick, given with the "edge of the foot" (if you turn your foot 90° inwards, literally the top edge of the foot). This is a very contundent kick, it can push with more force, but also its pretty harmful. Its normally given to the torso or even the head. Circular kick, given with the top of the foot. Its given to torso and head, but the sides of them, normally given to the head. Its probably one of the most common kicks in general. And there are a lot more techniques, kicks and punches that i didn't write or forget, but those are the main ones. You can search on internet how each technique is called since im giving them a rough-translated name. Don't try anything you see on the internet. If you are interesed there are lots of places you can go and learn from a real teacher, but make sure its a good one because some schools will just give new belts every 2 months or so. I normally would get a new belt every 4-6 months, and a new full-color belt every 9-12 months, and had to do an exam before. If you are a child (idk the age exactly, but lets say below 14) you start breaking boards in yellow / yellow green tip belt, and only with kicks, at least from my experience. Of course the techniques you have to use to break the boards get more difficult each time you get a new belt, for example i think when you are blue red tip you need to break a board doing a 180° heel kick. If you like sports and/or martial arts i recommend taekwondo. It has techniques from lots of other martial arts, and in the higher belts you learn personal defense, including grips (and how to get out of them), sweeps, and all sorts of stuff. I left because im not a sportsman, i prefer not doing anything and i wasnt paying enough attention so it was difficult, but not because it was boring or something like that, but i guess that depends on who teaches it. My teacher was a really good one, and my classes werent that full of people (it would go from like 7 to 15 or something) so it was pretty personal, and most of my values come from what i learnt there.

TKD does not teach you to fight, its an artistic martial art. Very flashy kicks, but gets wrecked if you step up against someone who knows how to fight for real. However the tip about running is good, if you havent gotten into a fight before, you are likely going to lose. And depending on the situation that could mean death, not worth the risk.

If I’m not mistaken when punching you should twist your arm while punching? I’m pretty sure this is correct. I’m pretty sure this is also why you have your other hand with the palm facing up so when you make your punch on that fist you would twist your arm whilst outstretching it. (I think)

As someone who’s trained in martial arts, blocking a punch or a kick requires little to no effort if you move as their fist or foot passes the waist or mouth, allowing you to either follow up or run, I will say that training is different then irl, but having had to prepare for a fight once, your body will want to flood you with adrenaline (makes you move significantly faster and uncontrollably) the key is to not let yourself fall into that hole, narrow your gaze and take a breath (even a small one can help stabilize the racing feeling). I have never had to truly fight someone yet, but I know a lot of people who think they could actually best me in a fight (out of all of them...only two or three could truly get me tripped up, downed..probably not, I know how to block most fist and leg based attacks, and dodging the ones I can’t block. I was an orange belt when I quit but since then I’ve found that even if you’re not getting a better understand of what you learned, if you put the time and effort in you can train your body to expect some very fast and very powerful strikes slamming into someone. And a lot of people I’ve noticed may have the right stance, but have no actual power in staying in that stance easily, another problem is a lot of people think swinging with all they have is a great play...that’ll get you shoulder slammed or just knocked out of the fight immediately and with a lot of pain, small people (I’m 5’5 so you know I’ve learned how to get bigger people out) if going against someone taller than you, don’t tense and definitely do not stay still, keep light on your feet as you move, circle them in a measure pace (if you’ve had even a smidgen of any fight training, it will kick in and you will feel the want to just let lose, let them guess) bigger people have long reach, use it against them if fighting in enclosed space, speed and quick but strong attacks at close range will quickly turn the fight one sided when the bigger person can’t use their hight and reach against you, same for the bigger/taller people, just reversed everything. The last thing I notice about people that don’t know how to fight is the way they react wayyy to quickly, essentially completely missing the window of blocking and striking. They also have a nervous energy or even shifting in their feet like they want to run, whereas if you’re a trained fighter, the feet will be pointed forward and very quickly utilized in a fight, whether straight forward kicks (don’t recommend as this leave you open and unbalanced) or side kicks (depending on your skill and how high of a belt or other marking in status, and even just how comfortable you are using them) will unbalance you in the spilt second of slamming it into the person, to remedy this... pull the kick down as it connects (this will hook the foot on the neck if fighting against someone of equal hight, and if your against taller adversaries...well, your legs will be useless against hight unless you wanna remove the socket completely from your body) that’s all from me so others can respond lol (18 and I still have instances where I go from chill guy to stances power and very much dead look...1: that’s not a dead look, that’s me watching every little thing you do (this was proven by one of my friends dropping something /no, wasn’t a fight before or after, was just stressed from tests and things/ and me catching it about a quarter of a second after leaving their hand...no I’d known I could move that fast before but I went a lot faster this time... and I wasn’t even paying attention) ok now I’m done

Big guys with strong upper bodies, tall guys, and fat guys are top heavy. Get Inside and if you get a opening kick their knee hard with the bottom of your foot inward or outward. Most have weak knees and will go down or at least stagger. Also straight punches quick direct and aim for most damaging parts. Nose, groin, throat, and just under ribcage arcing slightly upward. You will knock the air out of them. Nose hurts, will cause eyes to water. Groin , pain obviously, throat though difficult can also cause your opponent to have trouble breathing. If you are taller chances are you have longer reach. Use that to your advantage have you seen boxers that reach out their arms over and over towards an opponent but not punching? Alot of times they are measuring their reach.

An add on go this If you're in the street and someone is antagonizing you and yelling at you, keep walking. They wanna be hotshit and cool, they want you to fight, so don't. If someone is walking fast at you with no emotion on their face and looking towards you, that's the person who has already justified an attack in their mind, has a target (you), and have decided they won't change their mind. The sweatiest, saltiest beast is a creature with nothing to lose, so in other words the person with absolutely nothing to lose and has a plan is the one who is a danger, not the cocaine smoking methhead down the road who yells at anyone who passes the street On the same point as that, if someone asks for the time on your potential watch just raise your arm to see and keep your eyes on them while also looking at the watch. If they want to harm you they would have expected you to look down at your watch to get a free hit. The "do you have the time" attack is one of the most common for muggers since it's a normal question someone might ask and most people who check their watches will end up looking down at their watch and not pulling their arm up and keeping their head forward

Here’s a tip I learned from my dad while he was giving me training: “Do whatever you can not to get into a fight. Talk them down, just give them your wallet (don’t carry cash on you), take all the steps in conflict deescalation to avoid violence. But if it all fails and they still wish to harm you, or they never gave you a chance to start, assume they mean to severely injure you or worse. They cannot be talked down, they are not a person, they are a threat to your life and if you don’t eliminate that threat they will eliminate you, and surely someone else after you. So end them now. Cripple them so bad they will never be able to harm another person again. Be fast, be relentless, and if you must be lethal. The only rule in a fight is to survive.” He was a special forces trained machine. I didn’t know for years the training I was getting was definitely not “normal” training. I’ve done good at never getting into a fight so far, and I hope to keep it that way. I really don’t want to hurt anyone, and the training I received is extremely violent and all I know so I’m afraid of going into “fight mode” and really seriously hurting anyone.

I made the decision to keep myself out of situations that might turn into physical conflicts when I was drunk and told one of my buddies that I thought it would be fun to box in a tight, concrete-walled hallway. He outweighed me by a hundred pounds easily, and he had years of boxing experience. I was an amateur at best in my stupor. He let me get some poorly-thrown shots in, then hit me with the right hook you'd see in boxing matches that seals the deal. Problem was, my head had nowhere to go but into the wall. I was out instantly. I changed my perspective on fighting completely after that - it could have been so much worse than having a minor concussion. My advice on fighting: don't fight if you don't have to. Don't fight drunk. Don't start the fight if you can't finish it - but if you start it, you better know how to end it as fast as possible. Protect your head and neck. Always attempt to diffuse the situation. Whether you're just messing with friends, trying to have a good time, or in a real heated situation, don't punch above your weight or skill. Train to defend yourself, not to instigate. And stay humble. If you knock someone out, help them back up. Being a douchebag after winning will probably get you jumped by your opponent's buddies in short order. Good luck out there.

U can actually last a while doing any physical activity by controlling your breathing properly source my old CO who flew a RF-Phatom and had to specialize exclusively in defensive manuvers since R series generally have no offensive capabilities. For instance violently forcing all the air out of your lungs like a cough forces blood into your head, in through the nose out through the mouth with about 2 second pauses in-between will increase your stamina as long as you maintain it, there are more I can't remember. Also fighter pilots are generally really ripped because they have to flex and hold all their muscles at once to keep blood in their head while pulling G's which as u can imagen is really exhausting especially when u have to do it while maintaining 360 awareness, tracking targets, controlling your breathing, and maintaining a 2 million dollar aircraft which is like a constant test in its own right.

I'm no professional when it comes to fighting, but I have been in a few and did a bit of martial arts, so I may hold my own when things turn sour. Maybe these tips will help someone: 1. Try to avoid physical confrontation altogether. Street fights can go very wrong, very fast. Running is preferable to stumbling and cracking your head on a curb. 2. If you are outnumbered, you are likely going to lose. Either follow advice number 1 or make sure that the group leader regrets it, so they won't attack you another time. But forget about strangle holds in these situations. All you do is put you on a plate for more attacks. 3. If you can't avoid the fight, don't try anything fancy. Cover your head, remain on solid footing, attack with quick, straight punches and either kick low or avoid kicking (puts you off balance, and you're screwed if your opponent catches your foot) 4. Always be on the lookout for weapons. Maybe you find something you can use yourself, like a stick, but you should also keep in mind that the other guy may be armed in some way. 5. When the fight is over and the other guy left, move to a different (if possible, safe) location. He may be coming back with friends.

Don't do this. It doesn't work. Ever. People aren't dumb and they sure as hell will notice if the moment you notice them start acting crazy they will call your bluff and jump you. Try to lose them if they are following you by going to somewhere with alot of people if that's not an option turn around and ask them why they are following you. They usually will leave at this point. Always make mental notes where potential weapons are: rocks, bottles, anything that could actually hurt someone, (dirt is also good pocket sand). Secondly be aggressive charge them, run, bite them, anything. do not be defensive defense doesn't work in combat unless you're trained. Oh boy was waiting for something like this, i have a very important lesson to teach about fighting: Because you train martial arts doesn't mean you are a good fighter, as a matter of fact, most of the well known styles are even meant to fight people, they are meant for the show, either of cool tricks or display the peak theorical performance of the human body, so your kung fu isn't gonna make you the next bruce lee, that said, becoming a trained fighter it is possible, just do not spect to archive any feats you see on the movies, on a fight you vs an army, you are dead, sure, you may be able to take some with you... But you are still dead.

Yeah, you’re definitely not wrong. I trained in self-defence or traditional style Karate for about 7ish years, and I remember vividly when I first started that the first thing they said is that it is an “art style” more than anything, and the katas and practice are mostly meditation in the hopes that you will have a heightened awareness for your own body. Even so I trained in traditional, so we rarely did tournaments and things like that and were taught that if you ever got into a fight, go for the eyes, groin and places where you can really hurt someone, not the punches to the face and more than anything DO NOT let them grab you.

It teaches balance, rhythm, how to move and keep moving, the most efficient ways to move from one stance to another, how to balance after turning, and in traditional combat kata, the most notably being the Pinan kata, there are techniques hidden in a lot of the kata movements that others will dismiss as dancing. There are absolutely meditative kata in traditional martial arts. There are meditative moments in Ryukyu kobujutsu as well, and Iaijutsu, and jujutsu. Doesn't mean what the rest of the art teaches you doesn't work, its just that the art is giving you tools. Sparing is everything. It does not matter how good your martial art is if you do not practice it with someone who hits back. Honestly I dont even know if Kung Fu is crap or not because most styles of kung fu dont practice any form of sparring. That said a lot of katas were meant to show soldiers how to use swords or spears in large group settings, and they were adjusted to empty hand styles. Katas have their place but sparring is king.
@thedinastyguild
@thedinastyguild 3 года назад
@@calebfielding6352 true, to some point at least, the problem with most martial arts are that they are focused on self-style countering, AKA the guy you are fighting is gonna throw the same punch you do, kung-fu is very guilty of this, most of their styles are meant to be more like very complicated dance, the rest are meant to fight other styles of kung-fu, thus being borderline useless against a boxer with enough training/experience. this logic applied to so many other styles to, my favorite is tae-kwon do, this is a "build-a-body" style, it helps you get into awesome physical shape, but when it comes to a real life or death scenario, it doesn't help you directly, as again, it's a style mostly designed to be a very acrobatic dance.

"If that doesn’t work get some jujitsu work cause thats the easiest way to be able to win against a larger person" That's a very quick and easy way to get yourself twisted into a pretzel. Size and weight play just as large of a role in grappling as it does in striking, and strenght plays an even larger role in grappling than in striking. Don't go around saying that kind of stuff without experience, just because a man who was trying to popularize his martial art said it doesn't mean it's true.

@@LeyvatenLoop I disagree to the extent of skill levels. You're right that size and weight play a role in grappling. If the opponent doesn't know grappling then those rules don't necessarily apply. No one can instinctively deal with knee on belly, transitioning top pressure without exposing themselves. Two tips for those who actually need: Number One: Always, and I mean always try and defuse a fight. If you didn't initiate the brawl, or you don't know what happened to start the scuffle, try and explain that in a non-sarcastic way. If you come off condescending or like you're belittling someone, you will definitely will be forced to fight, as someone who wants to knock you out, will most definitely try to. Number two: There is no such thing as a dirty fight, fight quick, smart and never initiate the first action. When a person is trying to fight, always wait for them to swing! Keep an eye out for body movements, twitches, and where are they looking? Are they keeping eye contact? Are their hands in their pocket? Keep a look out for anything they do, because that will be the difference between you getting shanked or stomped because you got staggered by a sucker punch. If you are hyper focused on what they're doing, it becomes easier to predict what's going to happen, and you can avoid it. Trust your adrenaline. When he throws the first punch, you are now the victim. Self defense is imitated, and do everything you can to bring him down or beat him. Grab hair, pull arms, poke eyes, drag shirts, do whatever because a street fight and school fight are completely different! In a school fight, you have people who will be willing to step in. A street fight is different. You're safety is not guaranteed, and you are on the polices time. They are not miracle workers, and they are not as fast as you like to think they are.

i did tai kwon doe for 7 years and managed to get my black belt so i have a lot of experience with fighting mainly kicks and punches and all that jazz. but for anyone trying to end a fight if you’ve already gotten yourself into one, on the side of everyone’s neck is the jugular. if you karate chop it (using this term because i’m sure many people know what a karate chop is), and you hit it hard enough (you don’t need to full force it but still hard), you’ll short circuit the blood flowing to the brain and your opponent will be unconscious about 30 seconds afterwards and will remain unconscious for about a half hour. no this will not severely injure them, it’ll just end the fight. if you’re in a life death situation, you can palm heel strike the bridge of the nose and if hard enough the bone will go back, hit the brain, and potentially kill them. if you’re trying to fight dirty, anything to the neck always hurts. the solar plexus is also a good way to knock the wind out of someone as well.
