How fun! When traveling, I always look for great coffee places. Most people don't understand the need for this, but I can't help myself. lol. In the States and so I cannot try these places, but am near Portland, OR and so thankfully I have many to choose from!

A correct answer right at the start. KOPI is great. My general move in a new city/country is to look up roasters on google maps instead of looking up cafes. I find a roaster generally knows their way around a good extraction better than the average cafe.

Was impressed by the friendliness of the coffee shop personnel and their eagerness to share their insights. All the coffee drunk, you had to be pretty buzzed. Darwin has to be a pretty hot place.

Hi Luke, if you do get to Perth I can highly recommend Do Canto Cafe on Royal St East Perth they are oppisite the ABC, great service, great food and awesome coffee
