This commander have so many paths to play! He's just as fun as Strefan from Vampiric Bloodlines in that you got to make a choice in how to build it.

There are so many sweet cards that works with this theme. Inspiring Call, Iridescent Hornbeetle, and Slurrk the All-Ingesting are some cards that could be considered. But its Razor Boomerang that I believe could be the jankest combo for Chishiro

Sick video! I'm planning on building Chishiro so thank you for the ideas! There's a couple of cool interactions with this commander. Toggo, goblin weaponsmith is pretty cool since he makes equipment rocks whenever you play a land (so a 2/2 spirit + you can give it a rock for 1 mana). I also traded away by bloodforged battle-axe a couple of years ago, now I regret it 😂 A cool combo I heard of for this commander was an aura that came back onto the battlefield whenever the creature died, so if you got a sac outlet and 2 spirits (for example), you basically got an infinite :)

Reins of the Vinesteed! The creatures have to share a creature type, but it kills your opponents if you have Impact Tremors!!!

so, another card for equipment support in this deck that I love is called Arterial Alchemy. It is a 3 drop (1 red to colorless) enchantment that says "When Arterial Alchemy enters the battlefield, create a blood token for each opponent you have. (insert description of blood tokens here) Blood tokens are equipment in addition to their other types and have "Equipped creature gets +2/+0" and equip 2" Basically, you get 3 cheep equipment for only 3 cost, and if you cast this with your commander on the board, you are going to trigger his effect to generate 2/2 menace tokens three times. it's bonkers, a must add imo

Are the swords of X and Y too much or not? Which one would you recommend?

@@onixnavarro3160 I personally have Sword of Truth and Justice, and it works really well considering it prevents bounce (blue) spells that unattach and get rid of auras as well as all the great white removals. The +1/+1 goes anywhere and proliferate works well too on every counter.

I also recommend _Shivan Devastator_ as it’s flying, has haste and is an X one red mana card with “Shivan Devastator enters the battlefield with X +1/+1 counters on it” absolutely nuts. If left unchecked it stomps everywhere

The higher I go up I always exclude greaves and boots especially for him having all the hexproof and shroud enchantments

That's a completely valid point. I still can't think of a downside to Greaves though. It's just so powerful at free to equip

@@aktirimagic4405 greaves have a few downsides but very minor whenever you want to enchant him you need to unequip in that small window your opponent could respond to kill him before you can attach back after you enchant him unless you have something to protect him like a hexproof aura or something like that like I excluded them out cause of my playstyle I don’t like running protection equipment a majority of the time because for a majority of my decks I target my commander or creature so shroud kinda sucks I understand why you like it I did too for the longest time but as time went on I grew out of boots and greaves and just learn to play more interaction spells via equipment that protections him each their own though I run mine more voltron that can go wide with him cheap auras doubling season and oran rief the vastwood land getting tons of tokens with counters and swinging for big massive damage

I don't understand many of the cards recommended in this video. Some are must haves that are also recommended in other videos, but a lot are just bad for the deck. Why have so many return from graveyard cards? They have no synergy with the deck and don't advance your game plan. Im somewhat new to MTG, so I have also looked for good tips not long ago, but I can at least tell by now the average power of a card. I would recommend new MTG players that want to build their first commander to also watch other Chichiro upgrade videos. Don't waste your money on many of these cards, or watch this and multiple others to form your own version. Cool idea tho with scurry oak + ivy lane denizen. Old knawbone + aggravated assault both looks busted, works with Bear umbra too, pretty pricey tho.
