Great video with a slight correction. The AK black base isn't meant to go over bare plastic ie it's not a real Primer. It's an intermediate coat that acts as a black glossing agent on top of a Primer

Thanks, Aviad, and that's interesting. I have used it as a primer before, and AK Interactive explicitly state "NO NEED PRIMER BASE" [sic] in the product description. Like I said in the B2 Droids video, I still would opt for something stronger most of the time, though.

@@TheRaceForTerra Got that information in one of the classes the local distributer was doing around here. The only way I got it to work as a "Primer" is either applying it wet and let the leveling action kick in (like 2K coat for example) or many many many thin coats. I've been using it on-top of my regular primer since that class and never looked back. Unless I'm going for mirror chrome it totally replaces the need for a gloss coat over the base black but will never use it as a primer

Great test. Due to the conditions and ventilation in my workshop, I am somewhat forced to acrylics. I'd love to see other colors in action. Thanks for sharing.

so which is which the results are not marked, which is the third from left front row ? Please say which is which at the end.

Hi Bob, I tried to make it clear in the video - I paint 4 spoons with one paint in one section, and 2 spoons with another in the next one, with 2 different primers every time. Therefore, the front row is for the spoons painted with AMMO Stainless steel - front left in conjuction with the Alclad gloss primer, front right with the matt AK primer. I hope this answers your question.
