my coach was throwing out a broken tripod that they used for our football film, but it was only missing a little metal piece to hold the leg support to the middle, so I took a part of a shirt tag and i tied it where the metal piece would go (its hard to explain, but basically I got a free tripod with a fluid head).
There are so many good ones. Heck, some people use iPads. But my preference is any HD camera that you are comfortable using that also has good auto-focus. Trying to focus on the fly while filming people running is tough, and subtracts from your ability to keep a good shot. More important in my mind is the TRIPOD. Without a good one, your footage will be shaky or jerky. Get a nice fluid head tripod and use a decent HD camera with a good, non-digital zoom and auto focus, and you should be fine.
This series of videos was made a while back and we have no plans to add anything. To adjust the bubble, simply adjust the height of the legs until the bubble is in the middle, or if you have a tripod that allows you to move the fluid head around, just pivot it until the bubble is centered. You can even practice this without a camera on the tripod.
What's out of focus? If you're talking about the thumbnail, that's intentional - it's called perspective. It's not what the video camera is seeing, if you couldn't figure that out.
@@immaginevideo In your segment with the monopod, you're in focus perfectly, the background has some softness, but in the segments beforehand, you're out of focus but the scoreboard is perfect. That said, I don't think this invalidates your advice.
