This is such a problem, where a class that requires skill to play, does less damage than a class where you can just bang your heand on keyboard and do damage, shame...
completely agreed. I think that its okay for predator to be as strong as it is as long as other classes ceilings are far more appropriate for difficulty/arcana. when I think difficulty I think arcana/gs/deathblade and stuff of that sort, empress arcana and gs have been power crept to hell and we all know deathblade is going to be a monster soon ( rightfully deserved imo )
Then you should experience a game that does it, it's absoloutly terrible. First if you're a good player, you WOULD have to play the hard classes jsut because they would be the ceilling of dmg. Then would you enjoy losing dmg to a guy for the sole reason of him not being dogshit at the game and playing the right class? Rotating OP classes is the best thing in games, brings so novelty into the daily routine, makes you enjoy the classes getting a buff etc. Sure It can be underwhelming when your main suck atm but it's for the best 100%. What if the balance was perfect? Nobody touches the classes ever again? How boring this would be?
I first part he says to make character bound mats roster bound. I want this change, we are playing roster here, yet all chars contribute to themselves, not roster as a whole.
Imo they started making the changes a little too late down the line. Smilegate should make the decision if the game is alt friendly or you need to have a main. As it stands rn, theres too many progression systems on top of gold and time sink to switch your main after every patch. Besides that honing alts isn't easy either, it requires a lot of resources that you can spend on your main, its as if the game wants you to decide between having your main at current ilvl content or pushing and playing different characters.
1st Anyways, a lot of the problems have to do with monetization, lost ark great strength is combat/so playing lots of ALTs is fun but need to make mats roster bound and reduced honing cost to ALT drastically. I.e once MAIN reach a new Raid MIN. ITEM lvl. ALL characters below that lvl get 80% reduction in mats/cost and even boost honing success. So initial hurtle is MAIN
when the paladin class has a nickname for mobile campfire and probably the most boring, non fluid class to play without a re-work in sight, then compare it to Artist which is more interesting, fluid, and designed much better.. you wonder why there is such a support shortage. who wants to main a class that feels boring, not exciting, no feeling of investment into the class.. all supports have the same 5 generic defensive engravings with 1/2 the gems used (which mostly cap at 7) for viability. supports dont even use the damage gems.. whats the point? there is very little reason to main a support to begin with. its not the same feeling when you invest in a souleater or a slayer and notice all the investment in bracelet/elixir/honing/quality difference while playing. you dont notice crap with a support. just bigger shields.. lol the game needs a fresh restart and majority of the core game mechanics need reworked. but my thought is SG wont do that and they will continue to do the same trick pony method and release a new legion raid and continue to release a new class with new design creep, nothing new and exciting. also Kayangel is no longer current content for the top 3 for KR.. where is the ability stone upgade mat droprate buff? where is the double lvl 3 set buff? im not hopeful for this years winter LOAN.. i feel like its gonna be the same crap again. nothing new or exciting. same old new class and new legion raid, then give us more of your money.
Yeah, buffing support honing would make my life easier lol. EAC adds a good minute to start time. Having played several UE5 games, while they look pretty, they do tax my system (14th gen i5, Nvidia 3070). Remember, Lost Ark in Korea still plays on Windows 7. I can run LOA on my laptop, which has an older graphics chipset.
uptime is useful to know but at the same time it could be abused like just constantly buffing at bad times that when you want to hold buff. You have a good start but i don't know how u find the balance.
man I haven't played for a year now. I loved it when I was playing but I just couldn't figure out the correct engraving combos lol. also too introverted to play raids with other strangers so stopped at Argos
If they remove yearning and give Atk/move speed to all set with Spell Vamp so support is not absolutely required but desired. And support get DPS set they become Dmg dealer build identity, when identity is used the party and themself get dmg buff and AOE heals so it top off the party on top of the Vamp and good DR or shields gives more meter. i.e Bard is like igniter get identity and use your 3-4 Big dmg spell and the party gains some too for the support enjoyers.
They should make more classes like gunlancer (dps/support) and completely reword the 3 current support characters we have to make them dps with support abilities like gunlancer
@@tfc1193the vast majority of supports I play with never get radiant. So their buffs are rarely ever worth more than a 4th dps player. People like seeing their own numbers get bigger, but they would never notice if the actual time then to clear the raid changes.
Radiant support is already doing 32% of the damage in a group of 4. Radiant doesnt include yearning(damage), bracelets, card sets, or the utility of yearning speed or other speed and mana boosts.
Every raid should not have mechanics where its more optimal or a better outcome to have supports tank it. It should be within the realm of the dps players. I would come back to the game with the removal of supports as I could play it at my own pace again without having a static. Supportive power should be redistributed in items/character strength and gear. Path of exile literally has a better "trinity" system of party play than lost ark. And some of the hardest content in the game is all still done solo. Lost ark could be an amazing traditional arpg with the current system, if everything was soloable the game would have a cult following in arpg space.
I commented this on his video and I still think it’s the better solution. Automatically increase ilvl of supports to the raid OR remove the pot limit. Both solutions won’t require a major overhaul of the game
nah BDO is alt friendly and tons of class, they overhaul most of the underperforming classes and they dont consider it as wait for it...."MAJOR UPDATE" dun dun dun! *cough AGS indie company Lost Ark is the only MMO that constantly releases a class, constantly tweaking these classes and constantly milking the existing playerbase by not providing a class change ticket and hell even the char.bound materials, it shouldve been roster from the start but nah, you gotta RMT or swipe baby. They want you to play at least 6characters, but these characters are not co-existing to each other, unless you play 6 same characters (you fking mental). My point is, they dont even have a quality of life for players when you got a lot of Alts, like search option for items so you can check where dafuq you put that juicy accessory drop, if you play 10+ like me ( I got 20char and 8char in diff server btw) you gotta juggle every char to find it, bruh. This game is PVE focus game, just BUFF everyone you sick shits, PVP is dead anyway.
Absolutely should have a private stats screen about your performance that only you can see. That's the only way anyone is going to be able to understand how they can improve themselves. There's very little feedback in the game to how to improve. You have to go watch someone else's analysis and trying to parrot it without understanding anything.
