We learn the Qur'anic View of Women from the Qur'an. There is a surah in the Qur'an called An Nisa which means The Women. This is the surah sent down to defend the rights of the oppressed, the despised, frustrated women. There is a surah in the Qur'an called Al Mujadile-The pleading Woman, not struggle.. not debate.. Mücadile means pleading. Struggling means discussion. This is not the surah of discussion, the surah of pleading. Its correct name is pleading, it has taken its place with the correct name in my purview also. There is a surah in the Qur'an called as woman seeking her right. A woman is frustrated, those who say I do not go into the details of the event, can open and read. The woman is seeking her right. Even she is coming to the Messenger of God, she wants her right. The Messenger of God also says thus far from me. So she tends towards the Lord and indirectly with her posture My dear Lord You are the last chance, I demand justice from you. That's why those verses were sent down. Husband is divorcing the wife saying You are as my mother and making Zihâr (divorcing a wife saying from now on you are as my mother). He leaves her in hock, doesn't do his husband missions, doesn't care, he has children from her, but he makes such a suffering. This is where the Qur'an verses of Surah Al Mujadile are being sent.
Woman is human when you learn woman from Quran. The word Nisa comes from the same root as the human word. It represents the female, one of the two main elements of creation as said We have created you from male and female. Woman in Qur’an again as said whether male or female; you are of one another, one of two sexes. So badukum min bad / you are of one another. Again in the Qur'an, the more rights and responsibilities the man has on the woman, the more the woman has the well-known rights and the responsibilities on him. (See. Al Baqarah 2/228) Both sexes have their rights and responsibilities on each other. Al Baqarah 2/228. In the continuation of the verse, man has an extra right in relation to the subject of the verse, and if he wants to go back to his former wife, the choice is his priority. If a woman will marry, her husband wants to return her and if she agrees to return, between the two candidates she has the choice of returning to her children's father.
When we learn about the woman from the Qur'an, we are always learning such positive. But when we look at the woman of tradition, unfortunately, there are hadiths and narrations that teach us the woman of tradition. When we look at that, narrated as For the husband's right over woman; if the whole side of the husband is filled with pus and blood, then if she licks his all body, again she cannot pay away, this is the kind of word attributed as hadith to the Messenger of God, which is nothing but a big slander. Again, the tradition described the woman as fitnah (See: Bukhari Marriage 17), took that as a religious element. What kind of fitnah is the woman? Do you see your mother as a sedition? Every man was given birth by a woman. Was he born out of sedition? What kind of approach is this? In another saying; if three things pass by the praying person, her / his prayer is broken, and one of them is a woman. (See Bukhari Salat 90) A narrative, a hadith that puts the dog and woman together, which religion is this? There is such a big difference between the woman told by the Qur'an and the women told by these hearsay. For this reason, tradition is unfortunately has seen the woman as an asset, a commodity. Commodification of woman by modernization, modern life, modern culture is a separate problem. But unfortunately tradition has seen women as an asset and a commodity. So, today the woman is trapped between the two presses.
Woman who has a position trapped between two presses, as modern slavery and traditional slavery. To pull the woman out of these two presses, the woman's personality must be put before the sexuality. Women should be treated as a human being first, we need to see the problem not as a woman problem but as a human problem. Because wherever you see it as a women's problem, there is actually a male problem. If you are problematizing women, know that you are problematizing men, even people. For that reason, first of all we need to see and look her as a human being. Because a human is a human as man and woman. As long as we cannot get rid of a sexist point of view, one type of irritability, means we cannot escape from a kind of gender nationalism perversion.
