Pakistan and China established diplomatic relations on May 21, 1951. The first high-level official delegation visited China just after three months of liberation, on January 4, 1950. But the bonds of friendship have gone back to centuries-old trade relations, when Chinese traders travel through Pakistan on their business trips to the Middle-East, Europe, and the rest of the world through ancient Silk Route. Over 2,000 yers ago famous figures such as the monks Fa Xian and Xuan Zang traveled through areas which are today known as Pakistan. This relationship was built on the strength of successive achievements and becomes formidable with each passing day and year. The leadership of both countries is committed to taking this relationship forward.

China has become Pakistan's largest supplier of arms and its third-largest trading partner. Recently, both nations have decided to cooperate in improving Pakistan's civil nuclear power sector. Maintaining close relations with China is a central part of Pakistan's foreign policy. Pakistan was one of the first countries that recognized the People's Republic of China. Over the years, the relationship has blossomed into an “All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership”. TCM keep up the good work! 👍

Pakistan and China have enjoyed close and friendly relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations on May 21, 1951. Over the years, the relationship has blossomed into an "All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership", with the CPEC at its core. Pakistan considers China as one of its closest friends and partners and China considers Pakistan as its "Iron Brother".

It is not a equal relationship. One is the donor other is the standing with a begging bowl selling it's self respect just to hedge itself against India whom both consider it's sworn enemies.

We should look at the positive side of pak China friendship, and all other neighbouring countries including india ... this built in road project of China will help all economies to grow Pakistan is just one of them . I agree with this point that our foes doesn’t want us to grow . They want unrest in Pakistan but we will rise and we are rising.

Critical analysis of cpec is lacking. Industrialisation of China in Pakistan would be disastrous, especially small businesses won’t survive competing against cheap mass production of Chinese and even labour will be brought in by china. Is there any plan to have upper hand on china or are we getting ready for yet another east india company?
@Alleur
@Alleur 2 года назад
Your argument is like asking a teacher not to take in a brilliant student coz all the other students are not able to compete with the new student. The best way would be to feel motivated to excel and compete with the new kid.Even Chinese let in all the American , Japanese and European companies to establish themselves there in 80's onwards. That let to formation of local supply chains who ultimately expanded n gave excellent competition to these foreign companies.
@m.mateenkhan8774
@m.mateenkhan8774 2 года назад
@@Alleur I respect your optimism but here the brilliant student’s example is redundant. Here we actually have a socio economic competition, it is unfair to compete with a highly competitive market. Your reference to other developed countries is right but actually it is because of cheap labour and hence cheap production cost in an excellent environment, those countries can’t produce same goods in their own countries because the labour is expensive and the cost will exceed the profit margin. Chinese produce fast, good and cheap, even Indian government restricted Chinese influence in their market because their local production was getting affected. Do you really think Pakistan can compete? What are you getting out of CPEC; just a beautiful trade route that is going through the country and surprisingly which is also leased for 40 years? They will fulfill our basic necessity of making dams and specific roads and can have the whole country for lifetime. If there are any open agreements of Pakistan with china that will help Pakistan economically and will lift it out of poverty and will give royalties to the locals from where the resources are being exploited or the same will happen as happened before in Saindak and Reko dik mines?? kindly let me know then.

@@m.mateenkhan8774 being an indian i am quite impressed by your knowledge. And you are right, china is actually a virus, they will come to your country, they will set their own industry and make their own profits. The transfer of knowledge of any work into the brain of indian or pakistani employee brain won't be happening. The south east asian countries are so much dependent on china that you can find 10 things from china in your room itself. Ever since covid came india is working on becoming self dependent and begin their exports in the market other than farming. And bro china will never take pakistan out of poverty, infact if you understand the problem china is one the reason for sri lanka eco crisis and can even create an adverse effect on pakistan in future
