// My Story
I am currently a software developer who once modeled and thought I wanted to pursue a career in the fashion industry. While I was modeling in Hong Kong, I eventually felt the desire to further my education. I decided to depart the modeling world and move back to Canada, knowing that could be the end of my modeling opportunities. I attended Ryerson University for GCM (Graphic Communications Management), as I thought I might still work in the fashion industry in another capacity. It was in my last year of university, I was introduced to a very basic coding course. I instantly fell in love. From there I knew I wanted to pursue software development but didn't have a clue where to start. I didn't want to go back to university as I just completed a four-year degree. I decided to enroll in a 10-week intensive coding Bootcamp. From there I started working at a small startup learning and growing my technical and soft skills. I then transitioned to a larger company where I am a software developer and technical consultant today.

i think tech people should be jumping with joy because of possibilities. Others should be shaking in their boots eg artists. What I also see is the possibilities of being an entrepreneur. People who are able to augment AI the best will have an unfair advantage, so much so that even companies like Amazon might want to stem the reliance of AI. If it takes one guy to do 1000s of jobs, how many people would be able to compete and surpass corporations.

12:14 Similar to what you mentioned about companies transitioning to Cloud, brands are transitioning to Social Media for marketing. I have even seen TV ads that mimic vlogs and tiktoks in their format: vertical screen with someone talking to a camera. The same way media now is read on the internet, I think Digital Marketing will be a thing because brands will prefer to promote their products on social media rather than on TV.

Agree with the general advice given by Tiff; she is answering a very difficult question we are all asking: Will AI fully replace pretty much all jobs in the coming decades? The answer is a robust yes, it will completely replace those jobs. Hence, over the next few decades, our jobs will be defined by using growing AI capability to be productive, which, as Tiff enthused, means we need to be open minded to embrace the growing capability and use it productively. The next few decades of work are about being the best at utilising AI to be more productive and embracing the greater wealth and freedom that comes with that role. It is very true that the human race will need to embrace BCI, be it from stentrode or neuralink, in order to boost our intelligence to be able to keep up with AI. Otherwise, we will be children in a new world. Hence, learning will be tapping into AI neural nets, making it effortless and an essential part of our future. A future we need to grow into, where intelligence and knowledge will be something we plug into... and many human limitations disappear.

@Henryk Z. I say that you should problably stop watching movies, AI will boost software development and help programmers to develop more complex softwares, IT WILL NOT take jobs from developers, it will only be different, you will need to be an engineer, not a random guy that likes to code, because jobs will be more focused on arquithecture and design patterns, AI will implement the easy boring code and give programmers time to focus on real software problems

@Henryk Z. 2 years are just nothing. we have thousands of companies over the world and "AI" won't and can't be implemented by all of them. even if, it will take much longer than a few years. alone the computing power and people who can work reliable with the systems and afterwards identify and fix the errors the "AI" will make, will cost a bunch of money and time.

Fantastic material! Indeed, there is miscommunication between cybersecurity market and big tech companies creating consumer products. Last week, I attended the RSA conference here in San Francisco (~3,000 attendees, 600 exhibitors). I asked many business representatives at their stands about openings, and they all reacted the same way: "Yes, we desperately need more pairs of hands! Do you know anyone who is available and might start now?" Yes, most of cybersecurity companies are not household names like Google or Apple that you can impress your relatives with at Christmas party. And yet, they have stable business models, are anti-fragile and resilient to recession, and produce services that are clearly at the benefit of us all. And if you are a seasoned tech professional, your competencies are easily transferable to cybersecurity.

Hi I am a Senior Graphic Designer with 5+ Years of Experience, currently working as an Art Director at a company, I am eager to start Cyber Security and also want to pursue Masters in it because I am done Bachelors in Computer Science this June,2022. What do you suggest me should I go for Cyber Security or stay in Designing and get into UI UX design maybe? If I should go into Cyber Security, can you suggest me where to start from?

hmm, so you think that if I am on the Data Analysis path, it is good choice to me ? honestly when the AI topics exploded I was thinking that jobs like data analyst will be the one of the first which could be substituted by AI in IT. Thanks for the video, have a nice day !

Makes complete sense, we are seeing it already, today's program manager cannot be just a people manager, even if they need to talk to his team he needs to know programming, but this shift needs to be initiated by the companies also, they need to invest little more in training their engineers to learn these, and shift to these mindset.
