This video is not our normal metal detecting. We have had a lot of rain and decided to go to some antique stores and have a look at some cool things from the past!

I love looking for treasure at these types of stores. I remember going to a yard sale a few years back and they were selling a box of what they thought was costume jewelry, so I made an offer on the entire box and took it home and found gold and silver items that I still have to this day.

Antique store are so much fun. Love the surprise day in the life of Bill and Christine. Great laugh when you found the wood carved sailors and you are so correct on the question people come up to you and ask when detecting 😂😂

I just knew that you were shopping the antique malls in Orange, CA and at the end of the vlog I saw the evidence! My good friend and her husband lived in Huntington Beach and then Costa Mesa and when I would go there for a visit, my friend and I ALWAYS hit the antique stores in Orange. This vlog brings back all kinds of happy memories. I think you should go back and purchase that Hawaiian shirt, Bill. It would look great on you when you are detecting at the beach. 🏖️ Christine…….stop having so much fun! 🤣 Memory: We were in one of those shops and both of us being seamstresses and doll makers, we sat on the floor and poured a huge bowl of buttons out and pawed through all of them. 🧵

Yes... we were in Orange... I think we find ourselves there about once a year... love walking around there.... The shirt was awesome... Now that you say that, we need a themed hunt or two... might be fun... thank you very much and I can picture you with all those buttons...nice

Hey guys, nice to see you out doing something different. That store had so much stuff, I love vintage toys and vintage Christmas decorations. I grew up in the 70's, the songs were great, I still have my albums and 45 singles packed away. I can't part with them. The 70's were a great decade. Yeah... love the oldies... you can find some good stuff but so much of it is overpriced like the handcuffs for $125. They sell for $22 and there is no date on them so are they old? Also, Funny.

Hum... I will have to go back and look. I did score a painting recently that was a water color and found out the guy is a little tiny bit famous..lol. So a 10 dollar painting ended up being worth about 200...

What a nice tangent for your video. Like Bill, there are many things I see selling as antique or vintage now and it's' stuff that I either have or had. I found two Glomesh purses in a bottom drawer the other day that I forgot I had. They're apparently worth about $100 each as vintage fashion. My mum also gifted me one of her corningware casserole dishes for my birthday last year and it's listed as "rare" on vintage sites. I'm absolutely kicking myself for not keeping 60s toys (like marbles) that my brother and I had kept for our own kids. It seems like I've given away a small fortune to thrift shops, over the years. 😂

That is a kit cat clock. But I would named Felix the cat. That was a fun video I would loved the video to be more longer. As for the green frog my mom has one she uses it to put kitchen sponge.

I haven't been antiquing for a long time. It's best that I stay out of them. I collect a lot of things. I have over 4,000 vinyl albums, Ed "Big Daddy Roth" collectables Hotwheels, coins, bottles and many other collectables. Time to start getting rid of stuff. I can't take it with me. I lived in Orange when I was a teen.
