I gave up on magnetic lashes because I had the ones with the magnetic liner to stick to... I didn't know there were 'double magnet' ones, I'm definitely trying that! I refuse to get extensions because it feels similar to botox to me, in the sense of; once you start, you feel bad about yourself if you stop and so you keep spending money on it even when it's not the most responsible choice budget-wise. I'm very far from being in a place where I can commit hundreds of dollars per quarter to my appearance so I don't want to trap myself in that expectation when I look in the mirror.

I'm from the Twiggy Mary Quant era At 16 proudly looked 26 thanks to 2 layers of false lashes as well as drawing little slanted lines at the bottom With heavy silvery blue eyeshadow we thought we looked 'mature' and with it lol! At 70 still love doing my eyes subtly and using natural looking lashes for special occasions Those were the days

I agree with you! Even though all I was allowed to have was an eyebrow pencil!! I started wearing individual lashes in 1976 so I've been in that game for a long time. Never have I worn two sets of lashes at once! You were a pro!

Dominique, Lashes have come a long way. I too, have had lots of strip lashes & gave up. Have you ever tried the Lilac St or Lashify lashes? I’ve been wearing them for about 2 years. I like that they go under the lash line instead of above. You can wear them for days without removing them. I’ve also just found the Kiss imPress glueless lashes & I have to say I was very impressed with them!

I use these as well. Lashify is a great product, but you pay a lot for them. And I still can't get them to stay on over night without a them rubbing off.

Haven't used false lashes in several years. I did buy some magnetic ones to try. I prefer to skip falsies and just use good mascaras...sometimes layering different kinds of mascaras and using lash primer. Thanks for your videos. They're always informative. Many blessings to you.

I used to get lash extensions and I LOVED them- natural looking similar to yours, but then I slowly developed a sensitivity to the glue which over time has developed into a full blown allergy. My lash extension days are over and I’m devastated. I LOVED them! I need to persist with magnetic or strip lashes but I never seem to be able to do it. Like you, I can get one, but the other eye is a disaster. Lovin the hair parted to the side again btw.

I have been doing Lashify for 7 months. I love the freedom to do my own and suit my mood from subtle/ natural to more drama. While they aren’t cheap, they aren’t nearly as costly as extensions. Great video Dominique 💕, thank you!

So much to say. Sorry. I’m going to start with personal comments on areas of your appearance (I try to ever make comments on personal appearances); however, as my comments are positive I’ll make an exception (lucky you she said and sounded sarcastic. Which is one reason why I never like to make comments on anyone’s appearance). I was struck on how nice your hair looked with the side part. You’re always lovely- of course - just that this was especially so. I’m one of the ones who originally suggested lash extensions, years ago. And also suggested a tutorial on lashes. I love my esthetician and my lash extensions. It’s just that sometimes I get tired of the upkeep. I’m committed to trying the magnetic ones. My eyes are very dry and sensitive but it’s worth a try. Great video! I have become obsessed with my eyelashes because, well, I like lush lashes! I have always gotten compliments on my eyes. They are a light blue/grey. As I've gotten older, though, the hood started forming and that seems to be what I "struggle" with now. I've always curled them thinking the higher the lashes, the more attractive my eyes become. But lately I'm finding that by curling and thickly coating, because of the hooded eyes that I have I am actually covering up my eyelid and they are looking much more hooded! Today as a matter of fact, I did not curl and focused on the outer corner. For my 2nd coat, I just coated the outer lash. I've watched your videos where you showcase the magnetic outer corner lashes and gosh be darn, I'm ordering them! So, no more curling my lashes AND when I want a more dramatic appearance, I'm going to use the magnetic lashes (if I can master them.....). Thank you for another great video!

I’m one of your fans that says I can’t do it I gave all my eyelashes to my daughter and she loves mom for it. I’ll just continue to keep applying the mini layers of mascara lol. I think I like the idea of wearing them and really I did practice for a while, but I wasn’t perfect at it but I could wear them I just always felt like I was like a butterfly with extra large wings lol.😂 so what I find myself doing is spending a little extra money for the nicer mascaras that I like that don’t clump my eyelashes what I do have altogether and I use a good brush, mascara first to lift and coat let it dry a little bit not completely and then I come back with a comb mascara and apply it for more false looking length!!! but I do appreciate you showing all of this again❤❤❤

I've just about lost more than half of my lashes on one eye and am losing some on the other. I really haven't found any products to be as effective as micro blading or brow lamination. I tweezed my brows in the 90s to a painfully thin line and no matter what I tried, nothing grew them back, so the tattoo concept worked best for me. If anyone has had luck with anything else, please feel free to add..

I have never felt so blessed to have great lashes and brows! One coat of Idole mascara and i am good. Brows require scissors and tooth brush to stay tamed I always feel shortchanged in the looks department, but i guess not! But great video!

I have tried all kinds of false lashes from magnesium, glue on, and self adhesive. I’ve never done eyelash extensions because I don’t want the maintenance and to weaken my lashes. The self adhesive press on lashes from Impress by far surpassed them all. It would have lasted a few days if I didn’t want to cleanse my face.

So right off the bat😊 my first thought as you’re talking because I love your eyelash tutorials is I think the eyelashes are cool even though I have tried to wear them several times after your first tutorial back when you were still on TV and you were doing them out of your light bathroom house my thought went to damn I wish the young girls would watch her video, her tutorial! And you talk about the different styles and lengths , and you have talked about when or how you should wear them to certain events or places or daily wear. When I see women, usually I’d say around 30 to 50 years of age and they have on those big thick faults eyelashes to work in the yard or you come to the office. My thought is wow you gotta wear those every day😂😂😂😂

Dominique, My coloring calls for brown lashes. Black is too harsh for me. I would like to get some that are the magnetic lashes, but not the ones that have the magnetic liner, that is not the look I want, because the liner is too thick. Do you know of some that I could buy? I've looked and looked for some, but they only come in black. Thank you 😎 Btw, I've become a regular follower, and have enjoyed seeing your videos on u-tube. I'm so excited about the new show you will have "Mornings on Merit Street".

Great tutorial! I use a lash serum and my lashes look very good. I am a senior and lashes can become sparse...so lash serum it is. I am going to try the individual lashes for special occasions.
