It’ll be my first time attending a US con. Heading to NY in a few weeks! What’s the deal with comic artists, do you buy in advance or just walk up to the booth?
Go to the NYCC web page and check which dates the artists will attend, some are not there every day. You can walk up to most booths but some require reservations.
@@RockPaperXcissors thanks dude. Yeah it’s weird I can’t seem to find any information. The site isn’t very clear. I’m going on the Thursday so it’s not as busy. Chris Claremont and James Tynion are the top of my list!
@@merakicomics86 You can walk right over to their booths. Those two will have a line, but it won't be that bad. There will be staff to organize the line. Claremont is chatty, you will have fun. 😎
Was Tyler Kirkham there? I was hoping to catch a glimpse of his exclusives. Ps: I would of nerded out seeing Sean Murphy, I loved Curse of the White Knight.
Did you happen to see artist Rodney Ramos there ?? He drew Toxic Avenger. Rod is a friend of mine at the Midtown Astoria Outlet in Queens. I wonder if he was there at the Con ??
@@RockPaperXcissors By trending you mean she went into the fucking stratosphere? I've never seen a line like this in Artist Alley. Or if I have, I've totally forgotten. Apparently she canceled signings today because a line that had formed a fight broke out. Glad I don't follow comics enough. I met Jeph Loeb, he signed my copy of Long Halloween(which is also signed by Tim Sale-RIP), 20 bucks, also got a photo wit him, 10 minute wait overall, me happy.
@@RockPaperXcissors I never heard of her. I dont follow artists, I was trying to do a friend a solid cause they weren't going this year. Cost me trying tomeet Kevin Eastman cause I bought a autograph ticket but even when i went to go there before they started it was probably gonna be a 2.5 hour+ wait. And I literally didn't have the time.
It was pretty difficult to catch many of the big names because they seemed to have very sparse hours and were only there at specific times or doing special panels. And besides- everything is so money driven there right now that you feel obligated to buy something from them even if you just want to talk to them for a moment. They were even charging for Panels. Very different than it used to be that’s for sure.
@@RockPaperXcissors Lol sure does! We go every year and we noticed that this year the con was just not run very well. My kids were doing photo ops and it was chaotic and crazy down there. In fact the printers went down on Saturday afternoon and no one even got any of the photos they paid for. The fans there were definitely not happy lol We are still waiting for an email from them a week later!
At 6:12 artist Tony Daniel to get a book signed by Scott Snyder, cool. Went Thursday at Artist Alley and met with artist Tony Daniel real cool artist to talk with and got my Adrenalynn #1 comic signed by him. Artists i saw and met and got comics signed by the artists at the Artist Alley: Tony Daniel, Marc Silvestri Jae Lee, Iban Coello, Keth Williams, David Finch and of course Spawn himself, Todd MacFarlane. Also saw Rob Liefeld from a far but didn't meet him personally. The violin music is what i felt when two other artists didn't appear on Thursday as they said they would unfortunately: Lee Weeks and Greg Capullo. But would've been cool though if Jim Lee appeared at the Artist Alley on Thursday. But nonetheless i had a wonder time my best NYCC 2022 yet. Cool review.
@@RockPaperXcissors You're welcome. Also just watched a couple named on the channel called Omi Homies on RU-vid touring around Artist Alley and you were passing by them at time stamp 12:34.
NICE WALK THRUE HARD TO EVERYONE GOING TO GET THERE SUNDAY IF THESE LEG LETS ME. WANT TO TALK WITH THEM ABOUT THE 60 YEARS OF COMICON. EVER A GREAT JOB. WOODCHUCK TRUCKING.
Shout-out to Donny Cates ( ︶︿︶)_╭∩╮ lol! thank you for providing me this opp, RPX. Nice narration work! lol! f'seriously, lol! Love the extra sound effects... Gotta say, I miss Insult the comedic dog. I would had reviewed all his vids, and then gotten a healthy buzz on, before making this vid, -YO!HEY!! No way would I haze that Warriors cat, I'd praise the $hit outta him, ...but then again, ...lol! No way, I have all the Dabel Bros comic book all the covaz as well, so...difficult to say.... OH! Very Gary, he wimped out on Koch Warehouse, said it was too musty and unorganized -I see him there raking in the cash tho, good for him!... If Peach is not gonna show up, the that backdrop sign's got my name on it... Thanks for the tour... safe journeys
