Thank you Jonathan for such a comprehensive series. I have watched the entire playlist (yes, all 33 of them!) and have to congratulate you on such stirling work. This is one of the best series on YT and on Blender. You have demystified so many areas for me as a Blender noob and doubtless saved me and countless others weeks of wasted effort learning the vagaries of this powerful but quirky environment. I would recommend this course for anyone looking to go 'beyond the donut' (fun and engaging thought Andrew's series is) to be able to get a proper grip on the functions and methods necessary to make anything real or dimensionally accurate. I look forward to taking your series on using Blender for 3D print. Patreon sub on its way and keep it up! 10/10

Thank you for your excellent tutorial series. I have watched a number of tutorials, and none are as good as these. You have nice relaxed pace that is easy to follow, a logical progression, and you don't twitch the viewpoint around as some do. And there is no swearing - not that I'm a prude at all.

I’m impressed beyond imagining with this. There isn’t a term or an acronym anywhere in the first five minutes that I understood or had even heard of. I truly thought initially that blender referred to the item of kitchen equipment. I think I became subscribed because I’m sure this is the chap I watched on You Tube building a fine shed. That’s the limits of my tech capabilities learned in a pre computer age. Right, I’m off now to ride my bicycle and listen to skylarks!

What I learned is that I will stay with my Fusion 360 and pick up Blender as best I can for now. I appreciate all you are doing but this is getting more and more into how much you can remember in the way of shortcuts.

That was epic! I started watching because I want to create my own 3D printing models. It wasn't until the end that I learned there was yet another course for that. My take away is that Blender is super powerful and freaking HARD to use even after watching the videos. A course for those that have realized that Tinker CAD isn't enough and Blender is tooooooooooooooooooooooo much would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for what you are doing here on RU-vid for FreeCAD and Blender use with 3D printing. I only found your channel a few weeks ago. My first question is do you know anything about the "Machin3 Tools' addon for Blender? The second question is how is the best way to clean up complicated files generated in FreeCAD? Some of the files I build in FreeCAD get very complicated and I'd like to get rid of all the crap stacked up in the tree to make the files more manageable. If you have a video on how to do that please point me to it. I've been trying to convert the files to mesh, solid and, refine them but they just get hung up processing forever.

The time will come when you understand that creases in Blender help you to understand Sub D not in a way of "High Topology" than more as Clean surfaces. The transistion between simple blockout modelling and SubD can be pain full if you dont understand topology but i have to say learn it and it will the way to accses the world of Hardsurface even more.

Hey Markus, I 100% understand topology, creases and CG hard surface modelling. Unfortunately, those don't work in the realm of 0.001 margin of error for precision modelling. If they do and I have completely over looked something. By all means point me in the right direction to see that amazing work in action.

Well, I just bought an Elegoo Mars 2 Mono (not the Pro) for just under £200 last week, and I'm addicted to it. I've designed a handful of toy accessories in Blender, and once I figured out how to set up enough supports and not over-expose the resin (apparently the Mono is kinda powerful, and you don't need to expose the resin for as long as most resins actually recommend), I'm loving the results.

Artillery Genius or Creality Ender 3 V2, if you want something a little cheaper maybe Creality Ender 3 Pro, it's older but still a great printer to start

@@AlejandroFredes Heck, even the original Ender 3 is pretty great; I got one of those a couple of years back for £125, though I was modelling in SketchUp back then.

Hi I just stumbled upon your blender series, very interesting videos, do you think the geometry nodes or scripting in python in blender could replace the need for freecad? I'm currently exploring the geometry nodes and im a big fan of node based editing in general would be amazing to get your opinion on this, thanks and keep up the good work

Simple enough reason.. Most people in 3D printing community think Bender is for CG artists and movies makers only, ie, not for them. They are going to use (to them) "superior" and "professional" softwares such as Fusion 360, Solidworks etc. Most CG artists who actually use Blender don't care about precision to be interested in this channel. This channel is such an odd ball to the Blender community in general.

Can someone help me download the add ons? When I pick install and go to the file location, I press install and it opens the file and there's like 5 other files instead of installing it.

Hey Tony, Be sure that you are installing the addon as a zip file and not all the bits inside the zip file

I disagree, if you use tools for Blender like HardOps and Boxcutter along with a number of other tools you can in fact create super clean bevels and chamfers.

I don't care what whole world saying, I bet 99% of the user couldn't even tell what the solution is for my Blender problem I'm having right now, garbage update which makes 5 months tutorial useless because of just a little bit of interface change, stucky feeling grip and atmosphere, Blender doesn't even care what I ask and they don't even do a 1 on 1 Q&A on their website and hope our self just somehow solve the solution, and I don't know why all the Blender tutor are just complete weeb, yes, haters gonna hate, that's what I do, and I have 0% shame.
