i’ve been watching this channel for about 6-7 years, when the older clips started to pop up i got a bit emotional. koreanenglishman and jolly are two of my favorite channels because it filled my world with the knowledge of culture. i will forever be grateful for everyone within the channel!

I found your channel in 2018 a few months after I moved to Daegu, Korea. I'm from the US and it was my first time living abroad. I was pretty overwhelmed with culture stock and stress from my new job. Your videos not only were a major stress relief but also got me so excited to go out and try the same things you were making videos about. I ended up living there for four years and watching your videos now makes me feel so nostalgic. Thanks guys and happy 10 year anniversary!

It's so crazy looking back now at old videos and also seeing how many ppl haven't been introduced or even heard of simple Korean foods!! I would have also assumed many more Brits would have been nowdays. But I can guarantee many more ppl where I live in the sticks of the southern US haven't but that's to be expected! I found your channel because of a longing to reconnect with the Korean cultural experiences of my childhood and the memories I tied to Korean food. The ache to go back to Korea hasn't gone away, nor should it, but my heart is so full. I shed a few tears during the 10-year montage and behind-the-scenes commentary; it is such a wonderful full-circle moment, both for you as individuals and for the loyal fanbase you have created. I have followed your RU-vid journey long enough to know that it has not always been easy to stick to this world of content creation. As someone just starting out a career in international aid and development, I wholeheartedly recognise the feeling of wanting to have a direct impact and see tangible change in the world around you - often, I feel far removed from the issues that I care so deeply about and wonder if I could be doing more with my passions and skills. Josh also inspired me to continue learning more Korean. It been well over a decade living here for me, but I still continue to learn new things about Korea through your channels. Tbh, I haven’t been follow this channel (or JOLLY) as closely as I used to be, but I’m still immensely proud of the fact that I watched your first episode in real time. “10 years can change the landscape,” the Korean proverb goes, but nothing happens automatically either. The time and effort you guys put in this channels shows, and I’m happy you’re still eager to do more. Here’s to another ten years! TMI: I lived in the UK before the 88 olympics, and literally NO ONE knew about Korea then. An old man even asked my father if it used to be a colony of England! It just makes me so happy when people are willing to try something and then they absolutely love it. My Japanese mother always said to try everything because the worst thing that could happen is you don’t like it. And you can’t say you don’t like something without giving it a try. What Josh and Ollie have been doing for 10 years (amazing!) has always been so special to me because they are living this idea and continue to open people’s eyes and minds to different food, cultures, and ideas.
