Not because the gov doesn’t want it solved lmao It’s because it’s impossible to accommodate a billion immigrants. Learn economics it’s literally how the world works 😅 4:20 is what I'm talking about, for those who asked
The govt has sent billions to Venezuela alone. They give millions and millions of dollars to the NGO' who support the migrants. This is all deliberate. The goal is to turn the US into a communist country.
Politicians could’ve fixed this problem a long time ago, but they didn’t want to fix it because it’s not profitable for them to fix the problem. It’s profitable for them to leave the system broken.
Yeap agreed, but you have to ask, how many lives killed because of fentanyl & Billions from hard working Americans has been spent to illegal immigrants' luxury hotel, food, legal fees and healthcare? These are vote buying schemes spearheaded by Biden & Democrats to intentionally turn them to voters at the expense of Americans
A big part of the problem is Latin America. I'm in Mexico and Obrador has OUR southern border here completely open with absolutely no restrictions. It's a mess on BOTH SIDES.
What is your point? Mexico don't have the luxury to spend more in immigration, and even if do, now the south mexican border will be overwhelmed and will make a problem between mexico, Guatemala and Belize
@@linuxsisschannel8602 You didn't understand what I said? My point is that Andrés Manuel López Obrador has MY southern border here completely open. So that's a huge part of the problem as to why there are so many migrants on YOUR southern border. All the Latin American countries here are to blame as well. And right now it will be bye Obrador but here comes his puppet who is sure to win: Claudia Sheinbaum. So it will be more of the same and this will never end. But if you're ok with that then ok..
Well... I had replied to the person who asked me that what is my point but apparently my reply to him or her was too politically incorrect. So I guess I don't have the liberty to freely express myself. If you don't understand my original comment then I don't know what else to say. But counting the days here for Obrador to leave. Let’s not forget. Hard working Americans’ paycheck will go towards taking care of illegal immigrants. $150 billion. And illegal immigrants still pocket zero taxed paychecks. Yet many Americans still worry about how to take care of our family, bills and future retirements. It’s a beautiful world
I know illegal immigrants that get mad because that have to pay taxes, but they still get government help for their kids.... So they always look for jobs that pay under the table I'm a Mexican/ American
Totally agree with you jk, 8839, so true, coworkers who are illegal immigrants don't pay taxes, W.T.F, I MAKE 20 DOLLARS A HOUR, WORK A 40 HR A WEEK JOB AND TAKE HOME $635 AFTER TAXES, MY ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT WORKERS WHO MAKE THE SAME PAY, BRING $800 DOLLARS A WEEK , WHAT'S WRONG WITH THAT PICTURE?, TOTAL DISGRACE TO THIS COUNTRY,!, UNACCEPTABLE PERIOD!
I am a Christian. I go on a mission trip to Mexico to the poorest neighborhood to spread the word of God. We bring donated goods to them. Sometimes people there flee due to circumstances and illegally come to the US. What do we do as Christians? Turn our backs on them?
as a latino with parents that immigrated to us , i think its unfair for ppl who do thing right and have to wait and spend money to get in to this country , that ppl just cross the border and are given priority and resource based on what they say ,i belive legal immigration just like my parents you cant just cut the line and be rewarded

This administration is putting many families in difficult situations. A lot of people are financially struggling to live, put a roof over their head and put food on the table. the core to solve this issue are rules and regulations, we need to pass bills/acts that make legal immigration easier at the same time making illegal immigration as difficult as possible.

Right, cap the legal immigrant allowed per year, but just allow everyone in if you are illegally entering is a great solution..... Then complaint that immigration is important to our sustainability. Why not increase the cap for legally entering instead?
“Why not increase the cap for legally entering instead?” I wonder if it’s partially due to housing limitations. I didn’t look up exact numbers but it seems we have a somewhat unique issue, in the US, where we have a lot of real estate that’s not developed let alone options for residency & quality of living (eg: Midwestern territory, blank and open for infrastructure development). If the resources were made available for such a project; it would provide a very quick outlet for resettlement, further warranting an increase in the immigrant-count/annum limit. But idk, economics is out of my wheelhouse; wouldn’t be surprised if I was missing quite a few details
It's a relative boom I guess. Booming when compared to the rest of the world, and when compared to what it was like a year ago. Not booming compared to "normal times".
CNBC is good at going into every minute detail of the problem without building up to a conclusion. Old media habits die hard I guess. I like the approach of HowMoneyWorks, who proposes a thesis and then argues it.
My employer is more happy to sponsor me but still I need to get the visa from a lottery and the chance is less than 10%. My boss asked me “why couldn’t the people who are contributing the society stay?” This is how ironic the immigration system is
Really? Some people get their green cards from employment so easily. What are the cases that you are seeing that are “almost impossible”? Certain countries of origin? Certain industries? Certain U.S. states?
@@Urbanhunter49not that I think. I know. I have evidence. Not sure what you’re laughing about. That’s why I’m asking for specifics. Maybe one population is subject to more restrictions, or just so exceed their quota is just numbers game?
@@Happyllama220 tell me you have no idea about immigration without actually saying it. at this point, it is much easier to fly to Mexico and cross the border than wait for the application process,
@@haihengh I have been through the process myself. So don’t assume things about me. I am asking for specifics. These statements cannot and should not be generalized.
I just spent 2 years going thru the k1 visa process. The hurdles were insane. My fiance had to fly to the capital and had to return to the photo booth 4 times because her visa pic kept getting declined. i probably spent $5000 and this is without a lawyer. Im a tax payer and it is insane to think i could have just bought my fiance a ticket to mexico city and have her meet me at the texas border. Even when my fiance gets here it will be months before shes legally allowed to work while illegals work immediately. this system is a shame and anyone who supports illegals are insane.
IF you think K1 is insane, try getting an H1B work visa and then get employer to sponsor a green card. It's much easier to fly to the moon than winning a work visa lottery and begging employers to sponsor a green card
And that's why illegal immigration is trending: legal paths keep getting increasingly difficult to complete. It's probably faster nowadays to process an asylum claim with how many legal hurdles our lawmakers keep placing in the path of legal immigration.
@@doujinflip Yes, a lot of people get green card faster claiming asylum and cheaper as well than applying through a job having to beg employers and wait 2-3 years
That's part of the reason Republicans fail to actually be tough on immigration like they say they would. Actually securing the borders would seriously hurt the workforce and profits of their corporate sponsors.
@@doujinflipTrump had the border under control and Republicans impeached Mayorkas for his actions but the democrat run Senate wouldn’t bring it to trial in defiance of constitutional guidance.
What does it say about a society when there is the acceptance and tolerance of illegal immigration? As a Canadian I would love to live and work in the States but it is hard for me. Likewise it is not cool when the government supports and doesn't deport this illegal behaviour. When you allow this you let the world know you are ok with rewarding bad behaviour.
It means there's a big disconnect between the wants of the people (both legal residents and prospective immigrants) and the laws defining "legal" entry.
@@Happyllama220Your question is do you want to be a criminal? The answer is no.Anyone who has basic decency and commonsense will refrain from breaking the law .
When they talk about illegal immigration they keep bringing up the economy. However, there are so many citizens that need help economically, that need jobs. How are you to bring people in, help them get on their feet so that companies can hire them all the while looking over the people in the states who already need help, need jobs! The truth is there's no pipeline for jobs for the citizens already here. Why don't we see these jobs that need to be filled? Why doesn't the news add it on their websites to easily find? But if a migrant comes to the US, the NGO's and etc points them in the direction of jobs that need to be filled??? This doesn't make complete sense at all. Before making it seem like Americans just aren't working to support the economy let's see a push to help the American people.
@@dennisc4563 I am not sure what you mean, but President Trump had the border under control. This is not an opinion. It is a fact, just look at the DATA on illegal immigration. No smoke, just FACTS. Immigration is the international movement of people to a destination country of which they are not usual residents or where they do not possess nationality in order to settle as permanent residents
@@nieshamccoy9419 ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION is the arrival of people from one country into another country without entering via LEGAL methods. No one is complaining about legal immigration, it's the ILLEGAL aspect that is the problem.
Make a good immigration reform that benefits those that truly want to make a productive life here. Start with those that are already here and have not committed any crimes in 15+ years. Give them work permits for 5 years, then residency, then citizenship
Nobody who cared about this country and its people would let this happen. Biden is a traitor putting American citizens at risk with this open borders b.s.
It’s not a broken system, it’s the fact that the rest of the world sucks and has failed its people and society as a whole. Imagine what the situation would look like if every country had the same opportunities, education, freedom and quality of life as the USA. People would only migrate due to maybe a company offering better pay or maybe someone found their dream home with a view that they couldn’t find anywhere else. The main thing that irritates me and even my South American wife, these people coming waving their flags with pride then demanding that we bow down to their every wish they ask for. You ran away from your problems like a coward, leave that pride back home or go home.
The poorer and more populous the country, the harder it is to convince the American consular officer at the visa window that your qualifications are bona fide and you'll remain in the parameters of your visa (i.e. not overstaying it).
ask yourself the question...why is Biden fighting TX to keep the border open. TX volunteers to build the wall, and Biden hates it. I hope people wake up.
Nobody, because they're, you know, illegals? Kinda need to be a citizen to vote. And before you complain about lack over voter IDs, the verification isn't hard. If you're a registered citizen in a State, you get one vote for that name. If a name not on the list votes, that's an illegal vote. Also all the conservative states have voter ID laws anyway.
The Cloward-Piven strategy is a political strategy outlined in 1966 by American sociologists and political activists Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven. It is the strategy of forcing political change to societal collapse through orchestrated crises. The “Cloward-Piven Strategy” seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, amassing massive unpayable national debt, and other methods such as unfettered immigration, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse.

@@rowbart3095 I'd say there are elements of both in both parties. There are those that want this whole thing to collapse by design (in both parties), and those who will have it happen by their mere incompetence. Similar but different problems in Canada. You can't count your immigration numbers so that's a big problem. We can count ours, and its very high, its also a big problem without infrastructure to allow it to keep working.
The backlog where the wait to _get in line_ at a US embassy for a _tourist_ visa is now more than a year. Imagine how much worse the process is for those wanting to legally move here.
"RIGHT OF SOIL" also needs to be amended... many people bank on that to come in and remain permanently after childbirth on US soil. Removing it will incentivize many to not come as well. But it may only stop 10% of the overall population coming in.

The only way to solve the immigration crisis is... Ask all the big tech's to buy a biggg mall in all the islands and make that mall a company...and give them outsourced jobs- call center jobs(they don't have to pay in dollars, they can pay salaries in whatever currency those island has) and send them there for 5 -10 year work permit so they can live and work there and figure out where to live permanently later on.They can give PR if they are a good employee or they can look for job anywhere else. Yes but if we didn't have any liberals e would still have children working in factories, no weekeends, no clean food and drug act, and of course slavery.
The LEGAL immigration system we have is not that bad if it is followed by all including all states. Some small tweaks could help I guess. The MAIN problem is that isn't happening and one political side sees a bunch of votes in their future if they can just bring a bunch of 'em in and give them voting rights, social benefits, etc... nothing more than those politicians making a play to entrench their political power long term.
But if we don't raise the caps on immigration then it just means there will be more illegal immigrants. We don't have the manpower to process all these people who want to come to the US, leaving them stranded on the border. I agree that drug cartels and smuggling people are a big problem on the border. You fix that by hiring more border agents and immigration judges to determine who should and shouldn't come into the country.
Explain why it can take YEARS at minimum to get a *visa* in this country, let alone almost a DECADE to get a green card for permanent residence. Make legal immigration *practical*.
Meanwhile the other political side sees an endless supply of cheap labor they can abuse and eject at the pleasure of their businessowner constituents, while deliberately not providing "government spending" to staff up and actually process all the irregular entry and visa overstay cases properly.
I think that all the people who want to successfully immigrate to the USA should study all aspects of the country when they are in their homes on their computers and get as much information about the USA before they set foot on American soil because entering the USA as an illegal alien without any sponsorship will make life difficult.

The policy of “Remain in Mexico”worked but Biden changed that. It has caused a huge problem. The current administrations has allowed millions of illegal immigrants into the United States

meanwhile USA asks for an in-person interview and a $185 fee to get a transit visa for people with a connecting flight to Canada. The US immigration policy is arbitrary, Inefficient, slow, and unfair with a bias towards those who already have family in the us, refugees and illegal immigrants, and against economic migrants and skilled workers. The reason it got so bad is because the USCIS which is not undermanned but inefficient, because it pays to be inefficient in the US government, is accountable only to people who don't care about it's efficiency (citizens) so they were allowed to be inefficient and jack their fees up and refuse to use appropriate technologies. like having to send your printed F1 visa via post instead of just sending you a document via email or in person interviews instead of using video call technologies. this has come back to keep biting Uncle Sam in it's rear-end until something drastic is done about it fast. it's going to get exponentially worst. remember the longer the backlog. the more time till an immigrant's court date, the more time they get to stay and work. and the more incentive for illegal immigration. at this point, an illegal software engineer from India is expected to be able to work for at least 7 years until their court date with the ability to switch jobs without the requirement to find a new one in 60 days and then it's anyone's guess if they actually get deported. while a legal one can stay only for 3 and it's anyone guess if they will be able to secure another h1b which is completely random (lottery), that is if they were lucky enough to get the first one. so it is safer for the same guy to come illegally. let that sink in!
"Legal" immigration keeps getting more complex and qualified, hence more "arbitrary" and inefficient because of the ever growing list of considerations to clear per application. Irregular migration keeps growing in popularity _because_ the "tough on crime" (in this case illegal entry) attitude really just makes it more impractical to complete the "proper" route. The current scheme is a far cry from how the ancestors of many "full-blooded Americans" originally arrived, with no verification of identity, criminal history, or means to support themselves.
The "Migrant Encounters" chart is misleading. The 2019 spike likely records the results of the "Remain in Mexico" numbers. They were "encountered", but after registering, returned to Mexico.
It is not possible for immigration to take jobs away. Just like with domestic birth, more people, means more commerce, which means more jobs. How can anyone be so obtuse not to see this simple fact? Making documentation difficult for immigrants is the only thing that hurts the economy.
