As usual, great video! The tips from HR helped me a lot to do a nice and cool LED application on my car. For example, I've learned that T10 and T15 have the same connector, so I bought a T15 for my back up lights.
Your videos regarding headlight bulbs have been more helpful than anybody else's by a landslide. I'm leaning on the side of remaing with halogen lights but notice you almost strictly cover LED or HID lights. My dealer told me I cannot use LEDs do to my car being wired for LEDs and due to risk of over heating. Can this be negated simply by your conversions shown here and a light with a good cooling system?
What will you recommend for a 2013 Toyota RAV4 Limited? I have halogen bulb housing that is hazy from the inside and I drive at night, looking for bright halogen bulbs. The car also has DRL. Thanks
We can help you with this! For the best recommendation, please send us an email so we can send you direct links with more info! Sales@HeadlightRevolution.com
Hi HR, yes the nomenclatures of Bulbs can be very confusing, thanks for helping out to some extent. I have a H19 (Hyundai i20 2020) for both hi and low beams. Which LED would be compatible?
OSRAM has managed to get their new H7 LEDs road legal in Germany, i think it's a good step forward. Though, there's only a handful of car models certified to be compatible, all European car brands, and you have to print out a certificate and keep it in your car at all times. What do you think, will we have cheap and road legal LEDs in every car soon?
Honestly it is hard to say, as it boils down to the governments decision on that. We have LEDs that produce a safe enough beam pattern for street use, but the government just does not allow them still even though they are within the proper standards for street use. Hopefully we will have street legal LEDs down the road!
Thats why we do our best to make some sense out of the market, as hard as it is to do so! Let us know if there is anything we can help with, we are here to assist you! Thank you and have a great day!
Hello there, I’ve been watching most of your RU-vid videos and with all your knowledge and helpful videos I had 1 question. I have a 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD and my manual says my high beam uses a H9 and low beam and fog lights uses a H11. I’m looking at replacing them to LEDs for that bright white look over the yellowish stock look. After watching your videos I understand that I can use a H11 for all 3, but can I use a 9005 for my high beams? I’m currently looking at a bundle of the Firehawk 2022 LED which is a pair of H11 and a pair of 9005’s. I wanted to know with my truck could I use the 9005 or do I pass on the bundle and use H11’s for all 3? I appreciate any help you can give and thank you for your videos and your time. Gary
Thanks for the helpful video but still have questions. When I use the lookup on the website for my part # H11 and 9005 led bulbs in the description that they are for fog light use only that's confusing. Also any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.
Also on the same note for a 2018 camaro with the led upgraded for the halogen bulbs part number with they have the adapter to make sure there is no code or change over issues for the led's thanks in advance.
As far as the fog light notice goes, that is there due to DOT regulations. That is there because LED and HID are not street legal for headlight use, and they are only legal for fog light use. As for the CANBUS adapters, you will want to go with a pair of the PWM modules linked below, and you will jusst need a pair with your low beam. so what's my best bet changing my 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer's Halogen bulbs to LED or any type of white looking light ? Please help ' . Don't dig the yellow looking light with my white DRLs 😅
I bought aftermarket LED headlights and HALOGEN fog lights that both requires H11. I bought a set of LED H11 and I was informed they physically fit into the Halogen fog lights, but will they work is my question? Or must I buy Halogen H11 (if there is such a thing) for my fogs? I cannot test now because I am not with the car but like to prepare the proper bulbs when ready. Can you please advise? Btw, I never knew the differences but your video really helped thx!!!
I have a 2008 Saturn aura XE it takes a 9005 and a H11 What LED bulbs would you recommend something? I won’t have to replace a lot but I get good brightness because I have to pull my front bumper off in order to change my headlights in the 2008 Saturn aura.
I have a complex question…. So I have a Mazda 3 2009, which had an integrated HID H9 bulb system stock. I recently decided change the entire headlight assembly with brand new factory assembly. When I search up online my cars bulb requirements, it states that it requires an H7 bulb for the low beam. The problme is that since the stock car had an HID system, the wiring/outlet requires a H9 bulb. Do you think that if I buy a new LED H9, that it will fit the new factory headlight assembly? To sum up the question… - headlight assembly requires H7 bulb but wiring outlet requires a H9 bulb… would a H9 bulb fit the headlight assembly?
An H9 wouldn't fit, these use an entirely different base. I would recommend some sort of adapter to adapt the wiring over to the H9 style from the H7 bulb!
I'm pretty sure there are quite a few LED kits out there that are brighter than the GTR Ultra 2 when it come to raw lumen numbers. But they just don't have a usable beam pattern which make them useless in most cases.
We have not tested any LED bulbs that have been brighter than the Ultra 2, they are still the brightest bulbs! If you have any other questions, just let us know!
5:20 so H11 and 880... Can plug in to each other and look similar with 3 mounting tabs... But they are not interchangeable? 🤨 What exactly will be the issue? 🤔
Hopefully you’ll see this, I’m getting a 2017 Chevy Cruze lt and it says it has h11 and 9005 halogen projector headlights. Can I change the headlights with led bulbs?
It depends on your local road laws, so check with your local DMV to see. As regards to the resister shoot us an email an we can help you with your make and model. Sales@headlightrevolution.com
I went to your website. But i could not find any option for Hilux 2014 model. I want to upgrade my headlight bulbs. I am from the Philippines, I'm driving mostly on dark, poorly lit and black asphalt roads. Eyesight is not perfect so I want to have the brightest ligh but safe for other drivers.
so, i have h7 55w on my car, if i put h7 80w, what do i need to modify, or, it s going to work plug and play? i knwo someone that used for about 2years bulbs with more power than stock, and he was fine, but i want to know a bit more.
Unfortunately, there are none that I can recommend to you, as they are all not legal for street use. I have linked the 9005 halogen bulbs I would recommend for you below, let us know if you have any other questions, we are here to help! Bro can I fir h11 plug in hb3 because I want to upgrade fog lamps but my stock fog lamps plugs has h11 and my new projector lamps has hb3 so can I plug it in or not
Hi, I’ve been watching your channel for a while now. I have a question, I have a 2014 Chevy Equinox LTZ I changed the original bulbs with a compatible LED bulbs last year. My problem is, they a very blue in color even though I ordered white, and makes seeing very difficult plus one bulb already went out. So my question is can you tell me what Led conversion bulbs I could use in a 2014 Chevy Equinox. Highbeam, low beam, and Fog lights that is a very bright and White in color ? Thanks in advance.
Rick, thank you for your comment. We are sorry to hear that you had bad luck. We recommend going with something from GTR Lighting or Morimoto. For your low beam (and fog light) you will need an H11 bulb (www.headlightrevolution.com/headlight-revolution-perfectfit-led-headlights-h11-h16-bulbs-PF1.H11_2?quantity=1) and a 9005 for your high beam (www.headlightrevolution.com/9005-gtr-lighting-csps-mini-PF1.9005_2?quantity=1). All of those will be in a cool white color. You can also find everything we carry for your vehicle here: (www.headlightrevolution.com/buyer-guide-by-vehicle/2014+Chevrolet+Equinox)
Hello, can you help me out , with ones could be the best for my lexus is250 2009y?I am into pure white colour , could be a little bit blueish thank you
I am sorry to say that we do not have any H3 bulbs that will have that switchback functionality. I wish we could get something going for you, if you have any other questions just let us know!
We have never sold or worked with that product, so I would not know any information on that product. You would want to contact that product manufacturer to get that information! Wish I could be of more help, sorry about that!
Hi, Suzuki sells a model names Maruti Suzuki Ertiga in India. The headlights and fog lights of that vehicle r too weak. Can you please suggest me the best headlight and fog lights bulbs for the same? Even the brand? I need something which has colour temperature of 4300 kelvin. Thanks
We do not have that vehicle in our fitment guide, but if you can remove the bulbs in that headlight and send us some images, we should be able to get you set up! Sales@HeadlightRevolution.com
We havent come accross that bulb yet, with the thousands of cheap bulbs out there, it is easy to miss a lot of them! I hope we will get the chance to test that bulb for you down the road, we will keep you posted!
I have linked all of the H3 options we will have for you below, let us know if you have any other questions! Link: www.headlightrevolution.com/lighting-by-size/custitem_category_facet/H3?order=commercecategory:asc
That is for the glare that some bulbs produce in certain applications, they will add that cover, and that will prevent glare in headlights that do not have a cap over the bulb. Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns, we are here to help!
I have a 09 yukon with stock headlight housings.Have you tested leds on them and if so,which work best for that type housing?..Also the ones i have now only light up on one side in low beam,so the housing isn't using all of its surface to reflect the light.any suggestions?
I am sorry to say that we have not tested anything in that vehicle, so we do not know what LED bulbs will fit, and what ones will not fit. The other factor is that LED and HID are not legal for street use, so halogen would be your only option anyways. I have linked the halogen bulbs I would recommend for you below, and if you have any other questions you can let us know!
