i love the detail of each character having unique interactions with death blow, like sonic, atomic samurai and metal bat clashing their weapons against it, even making sparks now THIS is the reason why patience is key, i've said it so many times that this game is quality over quantity

heres a quick explanation: anything that makes physical contact with your counter (such as a normal punch) will count, anything ranged will not. edit: upon closer inspection this only applies to specific moves, and move that moves you quickly will do the other variant.

Its cool cuz every moveset has its own counter animation, like when garou got countered he used two hands while attacking, sonic uses his sword to block, and metal bat uses his metal bat...

I like how any weapon characters try to block with their sword/bat with this, it makes me want more variant animations for the game. For example, if someone uses death counter and you use death blow, similarly to jujutsu infinite’s domain clash, you have to do some sort of minigame that plays an animation where one counters the other. Or even smaller ones. Attacks that use their legs? It makes them hit the bat with their leg instead. Same with attacks that make their arm go up. And for projectile attacks like genos’ or sonics’, they could hit it back, run over and then do the same animation.

This is amazing, I mean i already tested it but yeah. I love your videos and keep up the good work!

a thing that I noticed is that when you counter sonic with death blow, there are actually effects for the sword clashing instead of him using his fists edit: same goes for metal bat

The death blow move seems to mainly work if the move somebody uses will end up being close, like if it hits and they end up right next or infront it activate

Fade you always have to be close to trigger the counter animation aswell as straight on, you have to be right next to them once they use the attack after the run

I love the attention to detail with sparks when the weapons clash

I can explain why it doesn’t work with Speedblitz Dropkick, the reason is that, while using the main dash, the Genos’ hurtbox stays where they used the move.

Btw the death blow variant can interrupt the scene of strength difference. Example: u hit strengh difference in someone, and another metal bat user go and use the variant of death blow there, it cancels your scene when u hit the persons that u used strength and hit both of ya

death blow idea: when someone uses a move that kicks you, for example, jet dive it will show it grabbing the foot and crushing the player. same for hunters grasp, it will show the player catching the foot, and smashing the player kind of like the sword slash with sonic or flashy flash, or metal bat it stops the sword and continues with the normal animation.

To counter with Gojo if you get in caught with infinity, simply use repulse after the cutscene ends lol

I learnt this way back when metal bat first released, me and my friends were just having fun in a private server I tried to do death blow on gojo and it worked although it never kills

I think it’s going to be patched for most of them, obviously the base moves and some ult moves will be patched for it to no get hit. Gojo will definitely be fixed too, no infinity does hit, infinity doesn’t. But I could be wrong, only time will tell.

Fun fact: speedblitz drop kick can bypass both Death Blow and Death Counter
