Agree the attackers missed some opportunities. I could be totally off base here but this settlement appears to heavily favor the defending force. Also not a fan of the 1v1 attack strategy you tend to leave your non shield side vulnerable for at least 2 of the attackers. Also not dislodging Epirus forced the attackers into a total left to right attack exposing those vulnerable flanks. Whenever possible I will go go with a right to left attack strategy trying to always keep a head on or shield side exposure to majority of defenders. I thought the Epirus player was the key here. Curios as to your thoughts even if you don't agree I am not easily offended and don't have to always be correct. I have learned a lot in my life not being the smartest guy in the room!! Hey! I played Epirus. When I saw Egypt not committing to me I indeed focused on getting key locations for flanking fire. Saw that Getae had some armoured spears that would hold for a long time so I just stationed a sword unit at the tower to not lose it, but without setting pressure to lure them in to Getae to open their flanks. From there it was just rolling up from the flank with all the javies Epirus has (thureos and royal peltasts). Fun battle! Thanks for the kind words!
An interesting battle. Couldn’t finish snacks and though because…… army comps, one v one attacks on three sides of the settlement, placement of troops. But that’s ok. Joe, you won this siege as well. Arrows, thin up the line, tips and tricks there were plenty of it. New and newer player battles are always helpful to all in the community. Tough settlement to attack. Army comps are critical. Commentary was spot on. Keep ‘em coming bud! I like the daily sieges……
@@joeonitproductionsplease remember my friend that all levels of players watch these sieges from excellent players to below average players like me. But you’ll get these sieges and as you’re watching your arrows tips and tricks will come on and I’ll be like yeah that’s a good idea. From there people who may not of subscribed to your channel may say I like this guy comments and join. Instructional and informative sieges like the one I sent you and in the past get new and newer players interested in your channel. Bud, that’s why sometimes I mention on the comments you won the siege as well. A few times in the siege I said to myself that’s interesting or a good idea. Keep it up my friend.
Attackers had to look better , they had a few good oppertuneties they didnt used. From the moment you see the enemy have pike units stop shoting youre arraws unless they killing a lot of enemy's. Every game you post you can always see in the first 10 minits who are the good players and who are the casual players.... Annyway thank you verry much for posting this video world of sieges ! I would like to give you a extra like !
cav is always my first target to kill mainly cuz they are annoying if not dealt with, archers are last priority cuz i usually just waste the ammo with a random unit (usually mercs) hugging a building til ammo is out and i rather shoot the infantry instead of archers (for Medieval 2 total war)
bad communication by the attacker, they had so many opportunities to flank the defenders and easily pick apart 3-5 units, I also thought that Egypt should have had his infantry help Carthage with the battle for the gate.
I will never EVER understand players who have not active units and letting standing those units in the reach of enemy towers. You even never should attack 2 gate towers who to heavely guarded . Its always a losing fight ! Maybe in the next rome we ca see how much kills towers can make , you would be supprized !!
