You wonder why women watch crime shows. I think I know the answer. Justice. Most crime shows do not end with a cliffhanger. Most end with bringing a criminal to justice. It's the same reason we watch Judge Judy or the more recent cultural arguments for sanity. It is because we have so little say in participating in justice. It is so that in our hearts we can say see justice happens sometimes. And important note, the person who watches these types of shows all the time may possibly feel that there is an injustice area in his or her life that cannot be solved and in this way it is soothing to see Justice where it is invoked.
