Great store. However, always check for an ABC a street or two off the main ave (like Kalakaua) and some touristy stuff can be found much less than on display on the main drag ABC. Sometimes an ABC in the middle of a block is cheaper that then corner ABC stores. Wish I could buy stock in the company, but privately owned, if I recall.
That would be a great investment. I found a weird disparity in pricing on banana's. Cheaper at some. Maybe I should be a review of different items at different ABC's and see which ones have the overall cheapest costs? Good idea/bad idea?
@@Passporttotravel Why not! Some ABC's obviously have limited variety depending on size and location, but a larger volume store has stuff you'd never dream of, and for a main-lander, it can be a fun browsing experience.
Last week, I went through 5 different ABC's stores in different locations, plus an Island Gourmet (owned by ABC). I chose 10 different items to price, and could only find a pricing difference in fresh items, like fruit. I am going to continue my price comparisons, but if you find an item with different pricing, send me a note.
