How's your week of creativity gone?? Have you managed any? Have you managed lots? Lemme know what you've been up to - and don't forget if you want to sort out your art space the Super Studio Spruce-up is starting in just under a week (omg! I'm sweating a lil thinking about all I have to do 🤣) - join in on with us on my community here: journalworkshops.ning.com/

Love this! I have actually found over the years that working with constraints like time limits, small size or prompts can really help me to create. Thank you for sharing your process & lessons learned and for the reminder! 💖

🌼This is fantastic!--People think they need an entire day to "play"--I do my best work in these snippets of time. If possible leave the stuff out and when you have a couple minutes go glue something down, tear something up, stamp a few pages--while I love the project you're working on here (and it's totally do-able --a PROJECT in "no time"--absolutely) but it's also a way to build your supplies--for those longer sessions. I wrote most of my master's thesis in the 10-20 minute blocks between teaching, grading papers, volunteering, time with family and house/yard work. There's always time--just gotta' make the best of it. 🎨

The key for me is to have everything (anything) in plain sight and easily accessible. You are correct...too much time is wasted just searching for the "right" thing. When pressed for time, I just grab the first thing I see and let go of perfectionism. I'm looking forward to your studio spruce-up. I definitely need a better way to sort out the tons of stuff I've collected and stashed away over the decades.

Thank you really helpful! Because of my procrastination I am going to start with a think and two mins, working up to 3 mins. 💕🙌

My creativity time has been spend in my garden. I’ve been landscaping my front garden. I’ve signed up for your art studio makeover challenge. Will be getting my studio back in a few weeks. So much stuff to go through to get it set up again.

That time spent in the garden is every bit as important to your studio time as your studio time--it replenishes the well so to speak, taps a different part of your brain, all of which is good for the creative soul (not to mention gardening, itself, is its own creative endeavor. AND you're outside getting fresh air, sunshine, full spectrum light and in nature--so so so great for overall well being 🌱)

I actually have been making art journals. I'm working on four and decorating and filling with ideas. Fun fun. Have a super fantastic evening. Sending love and big hugs Sherry ❤

That tracing tip is so useful! A quick way to add simple line copies of one's own earlier drawings, too.

excuses : snatched ! XD this was an awesome page, i loved the background colours, and that tip with tracing paper : amazing. i also relly love your tissue paper. i gotta say one thing - i really miss the sound of your old video intro, the jazzy one. i had grown to recognize it as your videos, and on the odd occasion someone else used it it felt really weird. now, without it, i feel... orphaned ! :o)
