2020 was no one's year unless you were a vaccine production company.

I'm locked in on 'need to make more money but don't know what job to do'. There has never been a job that I actually wanted to leave the house to go and do. I just don't know.

Right there with you. Lots of jobs, but no career.

My son is the same way. But what i told him is that until you figure it out, you need to do something that will put food on the table and a roof over your head. This is not directed at you, but some indecisive young ppl think they should sit on their butts with their parents paying all of their bills until they figure out what they want to do with their lives. I told my son, it's fine if you don't know yet but you will not sit around while i work 6 days a week to support you.

I love to take notes while observing these videos, and ask myself what Ken asks. What I do best is: Teach/train others, which requires intense empathy and communication skills. What I love most: When the person I am training succeeds bc I trained them well (and set them up for success, so their true talents can shine through). I teach the technical stuff, then they can add their creative spin on it. But I do not want to be a “teacher”. Not in typical setting as a schoolteacher. Those are labels and job listings. Great part of the message I learned - don’t worry about what you call it. Make up a name to call YOUR talent and passion.

I am a creative person and I thought that if I just get a degree in Photography which I did that I could run a business and do what I love. I got the degree in Photography but did practically nothing to learn "how" to run a Business. The Photo Business tanked. I also am a musician and what I think needs to happen with the "musician" is to learn how to run a business. I understand that Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones has an advanced degree in finance. You need to learn the "nuts and bolts" before you put the "dream" together and I think that is what his parents are getting at. That is being wise.

Loved the answer to Cory's question at the end. Really important for creative and artistic types to listen to what Ken has to say about putting parent's fears and anxieties of forming a career at ease with a solid plan instead of being pushed into other fields that they won't find fulfilling.

Corey's parents just don't want Corey to be 35 and still living in their basement and playing with his band in their garage.

Many fields of work can be possibly creative! Read the "Medici effect". It gives examples of people who have done it.

@@TheTread123 i agree. It's just hard to earn a living being creative. The value comes from people's perception of it's worth. And that changes with time, trends, and people's personal views. Not like an office job where they quantify your worth with a salary, for example. The term "starving artist" is a real thing. I have creative friends.

Just found your channel and I'm trying to like you but I'm finding you a little too aggressive and pushy. It seems to me your callers are just telling you what you want to hear at times. Too much like a salesman for me. I will try one more video and I'm hoping it sells me in you.
