These the type of ppl that F it up for rest of us lol But I prefer to be home flipping my monitor between Mac book computer computer and PlayStation lol 😂
Retirement savings alone is still not enough. Throughout your 40-45 years of saving, you will be hit by a number of circumstances (emergencies, children, illness, etc) that will impact that effort. We need to bring back and support some form of pensions.
RI takes 21% of my check. plus benefits and retirement contributions it’s about 30% of my check a week. i can save 6% by turning off my retirement payments but idk how that benefits me in reality
The concept of mini-retirement changed my life. I'm no longer waiting for some retirement paradise when I'm 65. It helps to know how to fund the lifestyle. You know, making money while you sip that piña colada by the beach does help. I wouldn't have been able to do it otherwise.
Yeah, people miss that part. You don't jet out to Puerto Rico with your life savings. Proper investing and a good business acumen are big pluses. Invest in the stock market, real estate, build businesses. That's just it.
Safe to say not everybody has the skill to pursue investing. But it's always easy to follow the advice of someone who knows how to i.e a financial advisor. You could anywhere between 10--40k with the right ones. Online businesses are a good bet too if you are savvy.
Vivian Jean Wilhelm is the licensed advisor I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
Thank you so much for your helpful tip! I was able to verify the person and book a call session with her. She seems very proficient and I'm really grateful for your guidance
I'll translate and save you about 9 minutes: men aren't sacrificing themselves for corporate profits and it's hurting me fee fees. Please go back to the mines so some guy on wall street can get another yacht.
I am retiring in 1 month, 14 days at age 62. I am NOT going to waste one more day of my life in a job I hate. I will give myself time extravagantly. Ben Shapiro can work till he’s dead. He obviously enjoys his job. Not everyone is that fortunate.
I was a manager but was regularly expected to do labor in the shop and do odd and ends. It became too much, now back to doing a single task for less pay and much happier.
I'm going through this with a Supervisor right now. I work for a Company where I went from the Top Agent, to the very bottom and I don't know what I did, or how to fix it, as no one will answer my emails or phone calls. It's like they have planned to make my work life a Hell so that I'll just quit! I believe it's called 'Quiet Firing". Thank you SO much for this video, I so needed to hear this today.
Do we need an 11 minute segment discussing a 20 second clip? Ken didn't provide the context or the exceptions Ben pointed out, of course his own viewers will be infuriated with Ben over these 88 words uttered in 20 seconds.
It always seemed clear cut to me, but maybe I’m in the minority. I get paid out when there is a PTO excess, so I don’t take all my PTO so I can supplement my income with the payout. Totally get it, not all employers have a policy like that so maybe that’s why it’s not a more common answer.
This is limited data lol. How many in-office jobs are paying $250k+? 😂 remote work existed prior to 2020, and honestly if they pay less you have more flexibility to move to a more affordable city or town.
There's a bit of a difference between being a football coach and working a technology driven job like I have. No need for me to be in the office. I get more work done at home, and my pay has increased since the pandemic.
Retirement is now more difficult than it was in the past. I've been saving for a long time instead of investing, and right now I only have about $400K. considering all the inflation, i'm thinking of investing in stocks, i dont just have idea on market strategies.
At a point like this, when the pressure is already on you to retire, its best recommended you seek the services of an advisor, as this allows you make smarter investing decisions.
It's unfortunate most people don't have such information. I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than $30k passively by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Doesn't matter if the economy is misbehaving; great wealth managers will always make returns.
That's really great. I've tried doing some research myself to hire a financial advisor, but it's really overwhelming. Could you recommend who you work with please?
Amber Michelle Smith has always been on the top of my list..She is regarded as a genius in her area and well knowledgeable about financial markets. I highly recommend you look her up if you want excellent collaboration.
Thank you for sharing, I must say she appears to be quite knowledgeable. After coming across her web page, I went through her resume and it was quite impressive. I reached out and scheduled
Ken;s solution just get side gig and work 100 hours a week or fix snow plows. LOL that's like the Ramsey documentary on student loans. Ramseys solution fix old lawn mower in rural Iowa and sell them. Two clowns
Darn it! It would be nice to get a good pay rocking my gray Puma sweatpants! Too bad good things coming to an end. The boss think we would not be working much remotely as seeing us in office. It might be another 100 years before the next major pandemic!
You can’t change SS for the people close to retirement and you can’t morally limit people’s ability to get out what they paid in, plus reasonable interest. So privatize it for those far enough out to change behavior and savings patterns.
The best way to get a raise is leave and get a new job. Loyalty is not rewarded today in many regards. You aren’t getting a gold watch or a a gold coffee cup after 20 years.
There is no trust between emplouyees and employers. Employers consider their staff as resources, overheads and liabilities in maximizing profit for improving the corporate share price and thus their own wealth as they have compensation packages heavily comprised of shares. Employees have viewed the treatment and actions of employers and will behave in a mercenary and transactional manner now that 'the scales have fallen from their eyes' and they observe the truth, which is reinforced by high inflation and rise in cost-of-living but *not* corresponding pay increases. Bean-counters and accountants looking to maximize profit ruthlessly have destroyed employee loyalty - everyone that observes this is now working and simultaneously actively searching for better opportunities. The lack of investment in the employment relationship runs both ways.
Let's be honest, the main reason they are recalling remote work is lonely managers. They can't stand that they don't have people around them to chat with and waste people's time.
Remote work gave workers back their time. That time allowed them to pursue other ventures which is why you see job tenures being so short these days. Some jobs require you to be in the office while others do not.
You must not have great conversational skills. My boss loves me from a different country!! If you can't speak the lingo & build trust with your boss then just work somewhere else, whether that's remote or in person. Good luck
Social Security will be here, but in what form? When I was told about it when I was in grade school my parents said it is pretty bare bones. I am now collecting it and by itself it would be bare bones. The sad part about it is that some people rely on it alone.
My boss let me work remote prior to the pandemic and he agreed I could move 3 hours away, but within the same state. Worked out great for both of us. I was productive and happy and he got lots of work completed off his backlog. Fast forward to now, post-pandemic, and the company as a whole said to everyone "Everyone must come in for a full week every other week no exceptions". They don't give a rats behind that I had a previous agreement and have lived 3 hours away now for half a decade. My boss and bosses' boss both went to bat for me and HR still refuses to bend. The company is short staffed with hardly anyone left that knows the aging software system. I'm one of the last ones that knows it. With how they've treated me I'll be leaving in 5 months to start a new career as a police officer. Good luck to the company when I leave!
@@JeffLivingston-mq8nk I wouldn't take a police job in a large city, but the town I will be working in is Mayberry and it's a very pro-police community. It's a place where you know everyone, and if you don't then you know someone that knows that person. Plus I have several years experience in EMS and Fire and have worked with police for years.
Just objectively speaking most of his videos just say to move to another company. I keep getting recommended his videos. Does he ever say anything different?
