What Category Kaiju Is GODZILLA In Pacific Rim (Lvl 100+) 

Kaiju in Pacific Rim are antagonistic towards humanity, if Godzilla exists in Pacific Rim's world, he probably will become the Kaiju killer.

From KOTM and onwards, Godzilla’s weight has sat around 100,000 U.S. tons. This massive difference in weight alone would allow him to steamroll and overpower basically any jager or kaiju in PR.

Even the Jagers would have extreme difficulty overwhelming Godzilla. Most of their weapons are designed against the various categories of Kaiju in the Pacific Rim universe. Those weapons wouldn't even do any significant damage to Godzilla. Also, from KOTM onwards, it's been confirmed that Godzilla's weight is closer to 100,000 tons. Godzilla wouldn't just be in a league of his own in the Pacific Rim universe, he would be the undisputed God there. Even the biggest Pacific Rim Kaiju wouldn't stand a remote chance against a MonsterVerse Titan.

The MonsterVerse Titans make the Kaiju in Pacific Rim look like kindergartners in comparison to how powerful Godzilla is in the MonsterVerse.

I think you did a pretty good job when putting him in the Pacific Rim verse even though I some fans from it will get upset it. But when applying the Pacific Rim verse ranking to the monsterverse, you did as good a job accept that Godzilla would be a rank 6 pushing 7 simply because he as the destructive power and force to be a world ender he just wouldn't do it because he's it's protector but is capable of it none the less. His hollow earth atomic breath mostly could reach the earth's core and destroy it actually destroying the whole world which is a greater show of strength then what Shimo and Ghidorah can do. They my wipe out all life in the world but Godzilla could wipe out the world itself

I was actually surprised how much I enjoyed Pacific Rim.

The director has even said Kong is smarter than Godzilla, so not exactly sure why YOU'D say his (and other Kongs) only "rival" Godzilla's intelligence. I'd agree to Godzilla being wiser, as he's been around longer, but in terms of actual smarts and adaptability, Kong is supreme.

Doesn't matter what the description of the scale is, if he could beat any member of that scale number, he's higher, and he could use ANY of those in Pacific Rim as chew toys. Moving the scale into the Monsterverse still puts even the level 5/6 PR kaiju near the bottom compared to Godzilla still. If you change the scale, you have to ALSO change where they would sit on it, number wise, by definition.

Good analysis. Pacific Rim I don't even think is in the discussion really when discussing power rating vs titans. As for the monsterverse, while Ghidorah may or may not have been able to terraform, he would have been dead half way through KotM had it not been for the oxygen destroyer, which only didn't work on him because as an alien he doesn't need oxygen. Godzilla meanwhile was always capable of going supercritical, even in 2014. They'd already tried nuking him in the 40's. Ghidorah was proven no match for Destroyer Godzilla at all, and Shin Godzilla would likely have wrecked him too. So I can't see putting him at cat 6 if Godzilla is cat 5. If it's confirmed that Shimo froze Godzilla to where he couldn't defrost himself, she'd have to be the only other cat 6 besides Mechagodzilla then. But that's not confirmed, and she either didn't or couldn't kill him. Which one of those is true would also have to figure in because if she tried but couldn't kill him one on one, how is she more powerful than him?

Well if I had to give my opinion. Godzilla would probably attack the robots of Pacific Rim at first, because he sees them a threat to his domain. But In the end he'd leave them alone, until they become a threat to him and his domain. At the end of the day, Godzilla is still an animal, protecting what is his.

Here is the thing - the iteration of Godzilla in Minus One had possibly the strongest fire, but he could not use it as frequently as Legendary Godzilla uses his. But when he did… hoo boy.

Only way I could see it working is if a jaeger and its pilots went into the monsterverse and some how fought alongside Godzilla against a bigger threat, but even that you have to ask. What irks me about the Pacific Rim Universe and what generally causes them to not really be competitive in these matchups is in my opinion the simple fact that the folks who wrote, authored and were taskes with the world building for pacific rim dropped the ball when it came to the math. Given the size of the kaiji relative to building with known height, mass etc to say that the mean(average weight) of a kaiji or jager is only 2500 tons That makes no sense. How much does a cargo ship weigh? Gipsy danger was using one as a bat to beat up leatherback. And so many other things. Del toro did an amazing job with the visual and visceral aspects of the origin movie but dropped the ball when they were putting out the science/math. The monsteverse where godzilla and company are from are more consistent and the numbers make sense. 2500 tonz. Thats what the weight of 45 to 50 MBTs depending on which one we looking at. I think that any of the jagers and kaiju would shrug that stuff that off more or less. I say it that way cause still remember that in the 1st godzilla movie in 2014? The military was putting a hurt on godzilla. No I'm not saying that they could have killed him but they were doing enough to mess with him and affect his movements. And thats because he is so much bigger than anything in pacific rim (cause they dont know how to do the math right relative to the scale of the setting) Either that or the math for the monsterverse is all wrong. As well as DT conveyed size and stuff I'm of the impression now that they feel like walkinf buildings(apartments buildings). Usinf that for my mental baseline yeah they would get washed. Gojira in Pacific Rim would potentially protect that World instead of up and destroying it, it's Gojira's Nature. Jaegers would be better off staying out of his way. Jaegers barely come up to Gojira's Knee, and those Dimensional Aliens would get beyond Annihilated.

From what I understand of Pacific Rim Kaijus are categorized according to size: Category 3) 30 meters Category 4) 40 meters Category 5) 50 meters Category 6) 60 meters So in my understanding Godzilla being around 100 meters, he would be category 10. Now, my guess of the categories and respective sizes could be wrong, but I’m sure Kaijus are categorized based solely on their size. How do I know that? Well they categorize them based on how much the rift is opened and the only data you can infer from that is their size.

I honestly don't understand where the mix-up of getting the number 80,000 tons came in....he's listed as 90k tons in the first 2014 movie and only got heavier from there.

I think the premise of gman not being catorgorized as lvl 6 based on the idea that he's not done it before, without taking into consideration that his intention and intelligence are not bent towards mindless of the earth, is not a great way to reason that idea.

Godzilla 2014 I feel would be between Category 4-5 considering he hasn't evolved into his 2019-2021 state since he would have the height advantage at 108 meters tall The Atomic breath isn't weakened due to no Muto's present and of course his fighting experience in this state plus even though he was heavily injured and his dorsal Plates were destroyed by Muto Prime he still was able to unleash his nuclear pulse onto the monster. Then his evolution to 2019-2021 he would be almost tipping Category 6 since he would be 120 meters tall with his battle with Kong he almost killed him if his heart couldn't be restarted. He is adapted to possibly killing Kaijus within the ocean since he has fought Ghidorah and Kong underwater. He can literally blast his atomic breath through ice and down into Hollow Earth and his Nuclear Pulse would have gotten even stronger then before only he's not in an injured state when using it from the 2nd GXK Trailer. Its his evolved state that would be the deciding factor since it seems like he will be more physically stronger faster movements on land and within the water and a more powerful Atomic breath maybe Spiral Ray and upgraded Nuclear pulse. With all of the facts and evidence present this could push him into either a Category of his own or worse uncharted Territory that neither humanity or the kaiju creators can fathom.

I think pacific rim has powerful kaiju don’t get me wrong look at the guy who emped striker and the gen 1 spamming emps with the intelligence to know how to use them is super dangerous to the people of the modern age since technology is vital to human civilization. I would even argue putting the emp kaiju in cat 6 depending on how many times he can spam emp and how and when it is used not to mention others like the kaiju at the end of 2 but monsterverse’s titans really do dwarf the kaiju in major areas. I mean putting aside the big powerhouses like Kong mothra Godzilla etc look at the muto they literally feed on radiation and can use thhat to create crazy effects on a massive scale or the skull crawlers who literally burrow into the earth and kill it which from my knowledge pacific rim doesn’t have a hallow earth so given enough time skull crawlers one of the weaker monsters in the verse can instantly become a world ending threat by pacific rim’s own scale not to mention they can wrap around jagers and tear the metal apart. And unlike the verse there are no other titans able to subdue the skull crawlers if they appeared in pacific rim just the jagers so if they fall pacific rim is screwed

Skull Island Kong is probably a Category 3. The entirety of Pacific Rim gets run over like an armadillo on a freeway by 2014 Godzilla. I liked Pacific Rim, but Legendary Godzilla in that universe wouldn't be remotely fair.
