Do you even know what you're talking about??? My cat would come to me immediately if I asked her to give daddy a kiss, and she would bump the top of her head into my lips and then she would give me a lick on my nose, then it was cuddle time without mommy, because she hated my wife!
@@Swiftieforever-Heklamy kitten rin (6 months old) learned how to kiss like a human and gives me cheek kisses all the time. I think he found out that it was a sign of affection. He’s also super cuddly and always needs a human around.
best to start with brushing your face against theirs in the same way they mark their scent. to first get them accustomed to having your face close to theirs
For me my cat (stray cat actually) self trained to put her head under my hand, so I just put my hand somewhere at her height and she will come running and put her head under, I wish I could adopt her but I don't want to make her suffer in my tiny apartment
I think I accidentally trained mine for kisses and hugs, I grab his head and touch noses and then give him a kiss on the head and for hugs I lift his front paws and have then rest on my forearm and wrap the other arm around him and give him a kiss on the head. He only lets me do it without much resistance.
So I'm not the only one who gets boops off my cat instead of the other way around? Well it's actually both ways, but he does like to put his paw on my nose. I like it. I think it's cute.
That's so cute! I kissed my cat on the nose too many times when she was a tiny kitten, so now she shoves her nose into my mouth whenever she wants affirmation. 😅❤
Not my old cat. I kinda trained him to like getting kissed on the head. Every day when I got home from school he would sit on the couch and wait for his daily kiss on the head and even night kisses. My cats love being kissed on their faces and heads!! It’s just how you kiss them, in these videos here, the people are kissing them really hard and harshly. We would not like to be kissed like a smack on our faces either. But kiss them on their face gently and softly and lovingly, and they just adore it! 💞
Was totally confused when watching this video. Not my experience from living with cats my whole life. I think this person is really a dog owner...knows nothing about cats. I hope people do not believe this nonsense.

Yep. My black cat is mostly blind. So, she doesn't freak at my face being close to hers. I lean close to her and say, "kiss please" and she will often boop her nose to mine. I say "thank you" and give her pets. Sometimes she will meow really loudly and turn away...that is her "No!" which I respect.
@@inpinksuit I'm not even joking btw. She never hisses, growls, scratches, swipes/hits with her or bites. The only few times she scratched was when she got spooked and I was holding her. If something doesn't amuses her, she'll or walk away or flop down and just accept defeat.
mine too. she definitely lets me know when she dislikes something (warning nips, growling) but she’s real gentle and I try to listen to her bodily cues before it gets to that point haha!!
When I kiss the top of my boy's head, he gently headbutts me when I kiss him. Sometimes, when I sniff the top of his head, he starts purring. I love my baby so much! ❤
My cat too, but mostly she just lowers her head so I can give her a kiss on the forehead but when she is in a really cute mood she headbutts me for kisses.
My cat who shoves her nose into my face and then licks my cheeks is not impressed with your assumptions. She does this every time i kiss her or make kissy noises towards her.
I think there have been studies that cats are able to understand human expressions of affection, so she probably knows that's just your way of saying I love you! :D
My cats is the same I thought him when he was a baby. He even picked up my saying "I love you" or "Kisses" to him as him about to get smooches and smacks his forehead on my lips. Now when he hasn't gotten kisses in a while he just stands next to me and starts smacking his forehead against my face until I give him his kisses
Fr, this video sounded like something a person with no experience with cats would make. Cats have unique personalities and are more intelligent than people give them credit for. My babies love waking me up for morning kisses. My tabby will rub his head all over my face and mouth when I make the smooching sounds. My other baby will lean forward and put his nose to my lips and slow blink when I give him kisses 🥰
Though many cats can eventually learn that kisses are a sign of affection to them. My cat likes to but her head on my lips when she’s feeling affectionate and it’s the cutest thing ever
Yeah. I don't think this particular cat fact IS a fact. My cat loves kisses and will push her head into my face and not start purring until I make kissing sounds.
My boy absolutely LOVES getting kissed on the head. He'll try to bump his head against your face to get kisses, and sometimes picking him up and giving him a hug and some kisses will make him so happy he purrs! My sweet boy
They like to be kissed. They realize it’s a show of affection. They even put their noses out to touch your nose or lick your nose as a show of affection also. ❤
I think it’s sweet! We used to have a cat and she liked being kissed on the head! Never held her and squeezed or smothered her with kisses though!! She shed like crazy!!!
my older cat has learned human affection i think. he gives me hugs, asks to be picked up, and he leans into kisses and pets. he even bumps his head against mine.
My cat LOVES kisses and initiates them herself most of the time. If I put my face anywhere near her she also goes in for a kiss. It all depends on how you raised them, the amount of time you spend with them and how you consistently display your love and affection towards them
Mine too! And he's trained me even, haha. If I'm bugging him and I pick him up and he doesn't want to be held anymore at any point, he gives me a lick and I have to let him go.
All my kitties love kisses! Oscar would come across the room every time when I asked if he wanted a kiss on the head. Litle Mimi crawls up on my chest and doesn't settle in until she gets her kiss on the head.
I slow blink and give my cat kisses. He’s a big baby and returns the love by grooming my beard. He absolutely loves it and actively goes out of his way to ask for more love and kisses.
My cat always boop my face with his nose whenever i put my face close to his. That's how he shows his affection, he knows how to give a kiss too after i trained him for quite a while!
They can DEFINITELY learn that it is affection. My cat will take it upon himself to climb up me and just ram cheek first into my glasses to leave his scent right on my face lol im his momma and he is my love
I've had my 17 year old rescue cat for twelve years, she loves kisses so much! If I'm petting her and I don't give her a kiss, she gets upset and starts pawing at me until I kiss her forehead. I accidentally taught her that a kiss is a show of affection when I was younger and to reciprocate she headbutts my face whenever she can. EDIT: not gentle headbutts either sometimes it feels like trying to break my face lol
Same. I had a tortie that would run up and headbutt me in the mouth when I was sitting on the couch. Whenever she was sitting on the cat tree she expected me to stop for a kiss or she'd bat at me and meow indignantly.
Omg my heart can’t handle all of this cuteness! My tuxedo kitty LOVED it when I gave her kisses. I babied her so much she turned to sweet mush in my arms🤗❤
