Over confidence gets me all the time. Hopefully I'm not going to fall into the trap again.

I knew about the over confidence because I've suffered from that too many times to count, knew about the little and big things adding up too. Never knew that you could just auto pilot have a drink let alone auto pilot buying drink from a shop! That's crazy that can happen!

Cheers mate. Your vids are great. People pissing me off make me relapse. Sorry to hear about grey bless his heart. I lost my Charlie chav cat couple of years ago and i dove into drink and drugs. I've calmed down big time since then. You've done SOO well not to crumble under that amount of stress, worry and upset. I know its bloody tough mate.

Great share, keep it up, I relapsed after 2 years sober, why?, because I thought that life would change if I just stopped drinking, but it was me who had to make deeper changes, Ive been back on the drink for about a year and a half, I’ve been trying to keep it respectable but I’ve had some close calls. Thanks for providing a positive message.

Ai Frank, very informative video. I'm now 6 month sober. About randomly sudden urge to buy alcohol I don't want to say it won't happen to me but I don't think so. It is not that I hate Alcohol, I can go and buy for people that drink, but for me no thank you. Ants and elephant maybe or not. I think all is about the will we have or how strong we are against challenges. For me to go and drink I need big elephants to push me there. I think I am in a better space without alcohol. I do spend a lot of time with my friends drinking and it will take a lot for me to go back.

I was in a place for people with substance abuse. I was drinking just once a week. The people I went to this place with tended to keep being derogatory and homophobic towards me, one day everything seemed not real, someone said one thing and I left and went back to far more binges. I was isolated before joining that place, and what I feared came true,

Talk to someone about it. A doctor, therapist, the easiest way to find someone who will understand is alcoholics anonymous. And it takes time, there are no quick fixes that last when it comes to addiction.

Super helpful video, Frank! Some people give in to cravings, temptation or peer pressure, some are triggered by stress or emotional trauma and some are terrified of being sober and having to feel their emotions for the first time. Addiction is a lifelong battle and sobriety is something addicts must practice everyday for the rest of their lives. Relapse can be part of their sobriety process, so you have to remember how far you fell, before you can get back up. 🙌❤

Sorry to hear about your lovely cat; extremely traumatic very anyone to witness. In high stress I used to turn to alcohol. In AA it's addressed as a drink is never going to make a situation better. I disagree slightly. I believe if you have an underlying disorder such a panic disorder/ASD/ADHD related then you'll see the pattern in yourself turning to something that knows works. Sure the anxiety comes back thick and following hours or day later. I think mental health in this country is severely underfunded and some of us with AUD are not being taken seriously. It's great you got rehab funded through work, but for most of us we probably won't have that open to break out of addiction (other than self will, reading, or AA which I've tried and therapy )

Sobriety isn't a hobby. You'll probably be nurturing something for the first time in along time. It's like a baby. Needs care all day every day.
