not really causes, this is basically an explanation of what these phenomena are. Causes would be why the trade winds are stronger/ weaker so as to 'cause' the respective phenomenon. but good video for a quick bite.

This is because of less solar insulation on the Tropic of Capricorn that year( this can be due to various complex reasons ) More over if you want to know why the warm currents move in the left direction in the northern hemisphere and toward the right in the southern hemisphere then it is usually because of the coriolis effect or ferrel’s law

According to my knowledge it means lesser rainfall in that region than usual as enough low atmospheric pressure is not developed
