I have the pain from my heel to my large big toe. You may say that people that is slightly over weight I disagree because I think to strengthen that particular part of the ankle helps a lot. When I strengthen my ankle I feel it helps a lot.

Dr Coughlin yve really made it so understandably educating to the simple mind. I disagree about America and obesity being the cause though it can make it worse when does carry weight later but I'm slim and I am in excruciating pain all the time and have been for over a decade..its due to doing exercises and standing too long on my feet all day
tao 02 Correct! I see other heavy weight people walking w/out problems n they seem to be painless to me. I ride Metro n bus n go regularly from station to station n I walk worst than an elderly person. I have heel pain on both feet. My goal is to loose weight n ideally I need to loose about 25-30 lbs. I would think 🤔 if weight would be the issue ALL over weight people would have this condition; and as a matter of fact, most people w/ heal pain are people who walk run etc.
I agree. First of all, he has to be a damn good doctor as I've had this issue for over 15 yrs and his suggestions are spot on. There're plenty of obese folks in Asian countries. At a minimum, he's severely biased. If he wanted to discuss heavy weight in 🇺🇸, he could've discussed junk food prevalence...but that would bring the wrath of corporations! Think about sumo wrestlers in Japan that are in the 300 lb range and they're oriental. He looks mid 50s in 2010-ish in Idaho, grew up in 99% white neighborhood....need I say more!

My heel pain started after I lost 50lbs in 4months. Then I started walking on the treadmill, my feet didn't like that. I wonder if rapid weightloss also causes heel pain?? Never had heel pain until I lost weight and I have been exercising for years. But because of Pandemic...I took a break.

I got steroid injections in both feet and the next day it was about 75% better, The injections hurt but not as much as the heel pain. Don't know how long this will last but we'll see.

Stretching leg & bending toes to stretch muscle under foot daily, wear nite splint really helps. Could take months. 1 of best videos. I guy said he had heel pain 1.5 years! stretching as this doctor says was the best thing and he forced himself to jog yes jog in the pain or he said walk start by a couple of blocks everyday.
