I got PD1 first, now i'm going for App builder. After that, should I go for Javascript dev or Admin? what's your recommendation?

Might as well tackle admin just to be well rounded before going after JS.

I'm a Fresh Software engineering Grad with great programming fundamentals through my 4 years at uni and light experience in web development and frameworks like angular, do you think its a good idea to ditch pure web development for focusing solely on sales force development, do you think there's longevity in sales force development,? and if so hows the competition in this field currently? Im struggling to know what to focus my time into to land a job with security and well pay in the development field as it is so wide and varied, I care less about current pay than I do about being able to progress in the development field and keep my experience relevant, Do you think sales force will eventually drop off in 10 years time? or is it a good career path to take as a fresh graduate, I greatly appreciate your informative videos!

Nobody knows if Salesforce is going to be around in the next 10 years but I think it will. I think it's a good path for new grads but you should not discount other development areas like web dev or application development on other stacks. Cast a wide net and see what you catch. You may find something you really like doing that is not related to Salesforce. Any programming you learn will be a good experience for your future so don't ditch the other language but try to learn as much as you can. I hope this helped.

I just started my trailmix for the first cert, the admin cert. It is over 60 hours and I'm afraid I can't do it plus school. Any tips for getting through these certs? I really want to become a dev.

Salesforce is a marathon not a sprint. It's going to take time to get comfortable on the platform. I think school is super important though, the pieces of paper not so much but "learning how to learn" and exposure to so many different things. I'll almost always recommend someone finish their degree before diving full time into Salesforce.

@@Walters954 the problem is I am getting them to hopefully start a Salesforce dev position in hopefully 6 months or so. So I really need to focus on both.

@@Walters954 also do you think I need the PDI and App Builder cert before I become a developer? Will they help teach coding concepts at all within Apex?

@@TwistedMood I like when devs have admin background so app builder and admin certification but it's not a requirement.
