I just checked out her husband on wikipedia, there is hope for all geeks! Halleluyah! I was disappointed to hear initially that Christina is married, but now I like her even more.
What she said about chivalry and holding open doors and taking women's coats, that's all 100 percent accurate. Sadly, we live in a society where many women place very little importance on gentlemanliness and manners. Of course, that could apply to men too. It's not just women who don't notice those acts of thoughtfulness.
She does have a nice voice. There is a girlish sparkle to it that makes a man smile but her expression is sophisticated. I always notice a woman with a unique quality in her voice.

no, i don't think so. i used to think the same thing about "open letters" but really, it's just you trying to speak for a majority of a group or just a group and saying, this is what we'd like or prefer or this is what we feel. more likely than not, she was asked to write this letter to men and she wrote it from her perspective.
I wish that is what feminists were, i guess that's historically what they were, and are supposed to be. I do wish they we're like that. Sadly, those who are like that are vastly outnumbered by other kinds of people who call themselves feminists. The "conservative" outlook she seems to have here isn't really opposed to equality, i think there's way bigger fish to fry then someone who's fond of some traditional social etiquette.

There's parts of traditionalism and conservatism that's not opposed to equality, like christmas, hanukkah, a wedding ceremony, certain moral values like work ethic or social etiquettes like shaking someones hand when you meet them etc. All of traditionalism isn't opposed to equality, some/alot of it is.
It's a pretty big sign that you're loosing an argument when you have to throw out pathetic straw men like you do here, instead of accurately representing my argument. I didn't at all say conservatism and traditionalism doesn't have oppressive tendencies, and you know that. I did say that not all conservatism and traditionalism is opposed to equality however, by not fully agreeing with your blank assertion that "conservatism and traditional are not compatible with equality".
If you were to say a conservatism is "largely", "most traditions" or something to that effect you'd probably be right. But you didn't, so you're wrong.
