HEY MAN LONG TIME NO SEE, you'll get to a high rank like me some day. I believe in you. (its peenielinguine from league) Haven't touched league in about 8 months. Forgot I was subscribbled to you. Quality video
Me as a Ukrainian. I am waiting for the modern era rebalance, it is obvious that Civilization 7 should have up to date combat units like drone operators and twitter bots. Also nice touch would be if the America is on the map any leader shall have an opportunity to ask it for money and ammunition
Crtoony graphics are the best for a game like civ6. It has nothing to do with adult/kids. In a game with so much onscreen info, a slight cartoony style helps to simplify schematically and dont overload our brain processing power.
These are all sensible suggestions but you might not be thinking big enough. Lootboxes! Imagine the sense of pride and accomplishment a player will feel when they finally pull their favourite leader.
You've got to make sure that all the most powerful leaders can only be earned from lootboxes, otherwise people may not be motivated to interact with the system.
With all those extra players in games, there's a huge new opportunity. Every 8 players that win a science victory are involuntarily queued up for a follow up game of Alpha Centauri, to determine the true winner. Culture and domination victories get queued into games of Colonization.
I think we should add a Multiplayer Ranked season System like LoL does, with constant Character reworks, so that you have to play daily to not forget all mechanics. Finally getting rid of all those damn casual gamers.
This is hilarious... but we are talking about the AAA game industry here, you might need to explain that this is a joke. Otherwise you might wake up to that Joker clad Gilgamesh for real.
I think the game would be a lot better if there was more space between ages and military techs, and less acceleration. One of the things I don't like about civ is that doing early conquest is just suicide because you fall so far behind. Maybe have some kind of mechanic where if 20% of civs fall and/or lose their capitols within a given period of time, the whole world falls into a dark age where progress is stifled while mongolian horde rages across continents. The game is too rewarding for people who sit there with X number of cities and minimum interaction with other players.
Very good points all throughout, and perhaps I shall add a few suggestions that are quite the rage in recent popular games : Firaxis should include some lootboxes for civs and leaders, as well as cosmetics. Perhaps when you win a ranked game you get some currency in order to open a lootbox after a few games ? This way it is free, but you can also pay to get them quick Also civ can be quite boring at times, therefore an afk/idle option should be included, everybody loves watching numbers go up
Imagine a Civ 7 with the same - graphics quality and atmosphere as Manor Lords - balance and stability of multiplayer games as League of Legends - depth of strategic play / combat as Starcraft II - straightforward menu design as Mini Metro - historic charme and map-nerdiness as Europa Universalis IV - badass fun factor as the Tropico Series - wonky way of being true to the franchise's roots as Age of Empires II DE Okay, scrap this, the only thing I really need is loot boxes full of pink weapons to sell for cryptocurrencies instead of ever taking a shower again.
100% agree with every point now time to get to bed at 3 PM so I can be awake for the Herson stream at midnight and not skip work tomorrow like I usually do whenever Herson streams.
I want tons of DLC that add barely anything to the game, like Stellaris First Contact. It introduces cloaking of ships and the ability to cloak observation outposts above planets of primitive civilisations. And the three super exciting origins which seem to be fun for a few times until you play something different again. That's all. Those are all features. A single mechanic for all empires and three origins of which one seems to be kinda fun, and two others which start on a back foot and play the same with the difference that one has a bunch of randomised aliens in your empires population. I think there is also a civic or two, but is it really worth 37,5% the price of the basegame?
Suggestion 3# Bringing up League's menu made me gag and I'm saying it as a League player. I don't watch e-sports, I don't care about "FAKER'S BIG WIN!!". I just want to play the game dude, why 70% of my screen have to be loaded with marketing shit. Civilization will never be up to scale to LoL, DotA, CoD, etc. - it's kinda like volleyball will never beat football in popularity as a sport. Hovewer, they could make more functional multiplayer lobby, which would allow players to create a game with their friends, or to play a 'ranked game' and wouldn't be too confusing.
suggestion 1 is kinda flawed, here’s why: The Civilization series is known for its realism, graphics and otherwise. Throwing the graphics part away would be stupid. Edit: oh, this is a civ 7 shitpost.
I want less diplomatic options theyre too confusing. Also, i think kts about time that the game adress their greatest contorversy, how much they prop up the grand man theory, by making the rulers less significant and more cartoony. I think thats what civ needs
For effs sake Civ VII should learn to use multiplayer servers local to EU west EU east etc. so we don't undermine all multiplayer popularity at launch due to latency issues.
They should actually work on a diplomacy system worthy of a 4x game How tf do u expect raiding civs to raid if u have to go on all out war for a single pillage??
What if a friend could invade as all the remaining barbarians and the camps become cities for that moment like the great Kahn in Stellaris uniting the tribes and spreading over the world before the leader mysteriously disappears and they fall back to encampments
I know that this video is a shitpost but I do have a genuine criticism of Civ 6. My laptop is too much of a potato to run animated leaders but the static ones don't have voice lines and this frustrates me because I want to hear the talking.
Im probably the minority but I wish Civ went back to its roots and provided a more historical game. More units, more unit stacking, more historical maps, gameplay based around historical progression, less micromanagement, more of a grand strategy. I want to feel that I m playing an actual nation, on a real planet earth. Civ 4 has many such great mods like Realism invictus, Rhyes and Fall, PAE, etc. Civ 7 should also be moddable, because the masterpieces that modders create is miles ahead from the base game. Some of civ3 mods still to this day provide a more in-depth and historical game than anything civ6 can provide
Invasion, hmm?! Maybe like gate to inner earth is found and 2 player maps are connected. That could be an option starting single player game, if you later feel cool enough to take on another player. Just have to find the gate first and stuff, smtn like fountain of youth.
Man your crazy mas !!! Civ needs that single player and offline mode are very important!!! You cant just eraise it!!! Oh and the lobby isnt as bad as you said ! Civ is not Civ with all that stuff
Ranked matchmaking, elo system? Meanwhile civ 6 has more players than ANY strategy and to be fair more players than every strategy combined, not counting moba. So no it doesnt need one.
Unironically, its always bothered me that we got spy network notifs if an ai is planning to invade, but the system was obvs useless on players. I thought assiging a priority to the dofferent govs/advisors to get a boost would be nice, and enable spies to deduce those intents for other players. "Spies found evidence that Arabia (Herson) is planning to invade Persia (noobhunterxxx)" etc
Nah. I have been playing for decades. I like the game. If I wanted a shoot-em-up or first-person shooter, I would buy one. I don't. Keep Civ as Civ... :)
I see one of those everything I tell you is a lie videos. Since civ 6 was by far the worst entry in the civilization series. Or at least I hope it is because if civ 7 has a battle pass or even dlc in the first year I may have to start ripping out spines.
Nothing like getting gdr:d 15 turns into the game after finally getting an okayish map generation and not a snow and tundra as mali or desert as canada or being landlocked as gitarja to lighten the day
If I understand correctly, the developers have always said that multiplayer is not their priority. So the disconnects won’t be fixed, and everything else is cosmetic
