Idk about firing zac, but he needs to give up the play calls to an OC. He is a good players coach and good with media. But his play calling has not evolved over the years.
He’s refused to give it up for 6 years and you expect him to FINALLY change? He’s showed you what he’s willing to do and it’s virtually nothing. Same BS every year.
@24KLuxury Do i want him too yes, along with many other fans. Now do I think/expect him to actually do it.. No. He will carry on with the same ole same until his contract runs out. All comes down to front office/owners. That's why it's just an opinion on RU-vid🤷
The NFL needs to force the Brown Family to run this organization professionally and to an acceptable standard, otherwise call for a owners vote to force the sale of the Bengals
@ Remember, the Bengals always vote no against league changes and improvements. A lot of owners would happily get rid of this ownership to bring in a more modern ownership with deep pockets that would improve the product
Cincinnati may be attractive due to Burrow, but it becomes ugly once they see Katie Blackburn and her grifter husband. No one wants to get paid nothing and deal with a front office filled with Nepo Babies.
this is the brown families team. if you can’t except it might as well give up being a fan. there are plenty of other cities that would welcome them if everybody in cincy quits them. just a fact of life.
@JoeyPownall-sk3hx to the fact you say that goes to show what palmer was talking about. Why Marvin Lewis stay so long. Why this organization hasn't had any type of success. Why it took so long for the bengals to get 1 post-season win. Why they wasted aj green carrier. Why they haven't had a superbowl win ever. It's a outdated system the browns run and it has no place in modern era. Bengals look like the lions of old when they drafted Stanford. So yeah, no, as a fan of the bengals, we as fans have a right to criticize the fornt office. Because it's not joe burrow fault not chases' fault, not higgins fault. It's starts from the top bates, reader, palmer, green, withworth, soon higgins.
1000%. Duke Tobin. His gauging of talent is like asking Stevie Wonder what’s his favorite color. Its a dumpster fire how bad this guy has robbed this team by stacking picks and letting quality guys slip off the board. Its appalling
Idk man I feel like we really need an owner change. Zac is not the best but with the right pieces he can win. We had a dominant defense in 22. It’s obvious we should have kept at least bates. I don’t really think they care about winning. They’ll pay the main attraction…joe. Who doesn’t wanna see joe burrow at the helm?
We need a owner that's serious about winning. Zacs play calling is questionable but we need to pay key player's instead of coaching them up and trade them. Key examples are whit, Bates, zeitler ect on down the list. We have so much room under the cap it's ridiculous.
@Muzzlecrowe-li9kt Delusional. Taylor went 2-14 before Burrow arrived. Currently 0-4 at home. The missing piece is a head coach. I bet bill belicheck would never allow this team to start every year 0-3 and absolutely never allow his team to be 0-4 at home. Gomer Taylor needs to go # not rocket science
I've been screaming why trade Joe mixon ever since it happened. I've been told by so many people that their running game would be better without him and I never bought into that way of thinking.
I have been a Cincinnati Bengals fan for a long time and Mike Brown and the Brown family will not spend money. They have it to spend. They are making a killing off of Merchandise sales ticket sales and off of concessions and much more. The Brown family is set for life and it’s sad because the fans deserve a better product than what they are putting out on the field. It’s not the Coach he isn’t playing and he can only do what the Management allows and gives. We haven’t drafted well in the past 2 years and they let key players leave . Jesse Bates , DJ Reader. Joe Mixon these players should have never left. And now they are going to let T Higgins leave after this year and it will hurt us more. So don’t blame the coach this is all ownership.
@donniekidwell180 I agree a lot of the blame fall on ownership, but the HC does shoulder a portion of the blame. How many times do you call a pass play to a receiver behind the LOS and it fails to work. That's not lack of execution, that's poor judgement by a HC that continues to think that play call is going to work. You gotta throw the ball down field. That's just common knowledge on those key situations. Zac is not a good head coach when it comes to calling plays in key and pivotal moments.
@@donniekidwell180 All that being said, the lack of aggressiveness to win by the ownership is by far failing this organization and fan base by far. Not paying key players to keep this team at a championship level completely falls on ownership.
I believe both the FO & HC is to blame, but the majority belongs to the FO because they're the ones who control the situation. Until ownership sales the team, the Bengals will never reach the success that potentially could, especially with players like Burrow, Higgins & Chase.
First of all it’s starts with the front office being cheap, and it shows with hiring Zac Taylor he can’t coach, and he calls the wrong plays at the wrong time. And that cost games.
I’ve always liked Taylor . But the offense goes into lulls . There’s to much talent on offense to go 2 or 3 quarters without scoring. It’s always felt like something is missing.
Zak is not a great HC, but the ownership and front office are bottom 3 in the NFL. Without luck, drafting Joe and JaMarr MUCH worse than Cleveland. Browns may be on an upswing. The Brown and Blackburn families are losing bottom dwellers.
If you’re not spending in free agency you have to draft well. They haven’t drafted well since the Super Bowl. Mims , Chase Brown and Dax Hill are the only ones that come to mind that was worse their draft selection.
It's funny how we think the Chiefs and Ravens are our rivals but they both beat us and then made moves to pickup veteran receivers to get even better. Also why weren't we out there picking up Kareem Hunt? We could definitely use him. Because we don't want to win this year.
I honesty think Zac is a good HC but he’s a very average/below average play caller. Big changes there, pay the stars, replace some of the position coaches and let’s roll
The whole team as an organization is a problem. The owner is a problem because he’s cheap. The front office has let go of key players , and won’t pick any players up as needed. The coaching is , and has been a problem calling plays , a lack of having players ready for season , and on down to the defensive schemes. Last but not least , players not playing all the way through, poor tackling , not doing or knowing what their job is on the field , and not playing all the way through four quarters. That’s not mentioning the exact problems like the oline , no run game , minimum takeovers , and so on. The biggest problem the team has in my opinion is the play calling , and it’s been a problem for a while now.
We’re screwed. We’re literally waiting to get lucky again. We were so lucky to land joe. Lucky to hit on draft picks and free agent pick ups and go to the big one. Let the core that got us there walk…Idk why I’m going to continue rooting for this team but fuck it why not ?
IMO Bengals don’t have a good track record of paying the QB and winning afterwards. Because of their desire not to change, it’s better to have traded Burrow and go with a veteran like Flacco and over pay for FAs. Bengals front usually draft well anyway. I’d be surprised if the rest of Burrow’s contract the Bengals win another playoff game, but I hope they do.
Brown has historically de-valued certain position groups, it's never worked as a high level philosophy. He won't pay 2 guys in the same group top dollar, or pay Safeties, LB's, and interior O-lineman top dollar if they earn it. His mind is still in the 1980's when they could make a run by relying on late round interior lineman and LB's. Defensive fronts are too freakish these days. You have to get with the times, still...I would've let Wilson go and used the savings to sign Bates, and draft or sign a comparable LB, they're everywhere, for instance. They found Wilson in the mid-rounds.
Drafting has been horrible and letting good players go…….bad!!!! ZT sucks and this team is not going to win a playoff game again for another 5+ years. Sad but true!
They draft not to pay players. Taking guys in the 1st and 2nd round that could be taken in the 5th or later all the time. The coach’s need to go to that basic offense and weak defense.
ZT just has to give up play calling. He was a coach of the year not to long ago, he knows how to build a team around our scheme. However, he just needs to fully get out of the mix for play calling whether he is the issue or not and worry about managing the team. I would rather see the bengals fully give pitcher play calling and if that doesn’t work, go out and get a good oc over replacing Zac. People are obviously frustrated as we are wasting many prime careers rn. Ownership also HAS TO ABSOLUTELY start spending more and getting some defensive guys. I know we got geno who I was hopeful for but he is ass rn. We got to break this programs tradition and make a big trade (we all know they won’t tho😂).

Nothing will change. The more people realize it that faster they will be on the road to recovery. This is a toxic relationship with this trash front office/ownership
Mike Brown has let go some good players.Front office has 2 bad draft in a row.Let all defensive backs go from Super bowl tteam.Let Mixon and Perine go.Bad Offensive line Stop buying these high price tickets to. Lose all home games is disgusting. Wake u p Zac Taylor get a Offensive coordinator.
i agree, I like Cowherd too. He's 1000% spot-on in his analysis about the Bengals. The Bengals had more real talent on the team for that Superbowl team, they were able to get there despite Zac Taylor's poor play calling.
I'm going to go out on a limb and say DJ Taylor. He was a real anchor on the D line and he regretted leaving Cincinnati. He mentioned unfinished business. But $27M is hard to walk away from and he wasn't going to get that with the Bengals. Jessie Bates and Joe Mixon are very valid arguments, i will concede that.
@@tomjones7729 You do realize Mahomes is actually being paid 53M AAV, contrary to what the media reports that he took a 10 year 45M AAV team friendly deal, yet the Chiefs have no problem keeping all of their great players. They also traded Hill in his prime to essentially rebuild their entire defense, which singlehandedly won them the past 2 Super Bowl’s, while we will let Tee, Chase and Joe walk for no compensation other than potential compensatory picks. The same concept applies to the Lions who also extended Goff for $53.5M AAV and all of their top players this offseason. Both of these teams also address roster holes during free agency and they draft well unlike the Bengals. You do realize Joe’s contract doesn’t even kick in until next season. His salary this season is criminal. He’s not even making 25M.
I have a name for u Ben Johnson Offensive Coordinator for the Detroit Lions! He’s turned around Jared’s career and I think is the best play caller/manager in the NFL! Remember there is only 32 head coaching spots in the NFL. He would come here because it would be his 1st head coaching job!
