Ohhhhh. Cheap business cards are available on line. The photo of the extant gown on the front. The citation and your info on the back. Tucked in your tiny bag to be given to anyone who shows interest. It would be like calling cards. I believe that people would love it! Good for Costume College, too. :) (I think I would benefit from therapy, but I watch you on RU-vid instead! :) )

And could be done in black and white 19th century visiting card style. When people would give away photos of themself as a card.

Possible ideas for changing up your ren faire uniform 1. Your 18th century shepherdess could probably be styled in a very ren faire way 2. As a historicalish cosplay option inspired by A Knights Tale

OMG! I had to rewind and see the sheet set. They are from sometime in the 1970s.We had the exact same sheets for myself and 2 sisters who shared a room. They also went to college with us. I think the a couple of pillowcases still in my parents' linen closet.

The sheets look more 1980's but I love that they could work for a 1960's dress. With so much fabric you could have a circle skirt with a frill on the bottom and frilly sleeves.

Funnily enough The Hubs has gotten into me making him casual button ups with contrasting fabric . We picked up a khaki green and fishing lures with a golden yellow polka dot fabric as contrast last night. I purchased end of bolt. We will have matching shirts😂 We are so not that couple but its happening anyway…cuz it’s funny. 🌈🌈🦋🦋

So happy that you continue with your "plans in the making" video! They all look challenging! The one I am most looking forward to is your 1950's summer dress. Go figure! The material you chose does indeed fit that time. One question: Would it be possible to show the gowns you have made in the past when mentioned in your sharings? I would enjoy being reminded of all of your creations! Thank you! 😊

Maybe a gown from somewhat later in the 17th century, say English Civil War or Charles II? (or Louis XIII/3 Musketeers for France?)? "The First Churchills" and "By the Sword Divided" are 2 PBS miniseries which would both show plenty of 17th-century English costumes. (Morgan Donner is a Costuber who has done a bit more 17th century-style costumes, and probably would be knowledgeable about how historically accurate the costumes in those miniseries are.)

I’m particularly excited about you making a regency court gown - please do! Your video from 3 years back on it was so well researched and performed and it would be so good to see something that isn’t all over costube. And to learn things about the construction. And although they looked unusual to the modern eye the fashion plates proved they didn’t have to look ugly. I’m sure with your talent you could make it look good!

Awesome! Rose’s boarding suit is my favorite from the movie. I had to take several months off, just to rest. Just starting back up. Have several blouses to make and am about to start a simple tailored jacket. Going to do the hand tailoring, just make it lighter weight so the jacket isn’t heavy.

You should get set up a business (LLC) and get your wholesale license so you can buy your fabric wholesale. There is a company called EE Schenck you can most likely purchase fabric wholesale. There is a youtube I recently saw which shows what their company does. Or even, maybe contact them and see if they would let you advertise for them and use their fabrics. They have so much fabric, you would be in fabric heaven! Worth a try! I love your channel BTW

I’m sew, sew (😉) excited to see the projects you choose for the year to come! That purple silk you showed for that one 1890s (?) fashion plate is gorgeous! Not that it matters one whit, but that is my favorite shade of purple. I also am tickeled at the idea of a regency court dress. I don’t think I’ve watched that video, so I’ll check that out next. But that seems so fun and a creative way to do a Brigerton dress! Whenever Rose’s boarding dress gets made, this year or next, I’ll be there with bells on! My personal aesthetic doesn’t really fall to all the fancy stuff, but if I were to make one fancy outfit for myself, that would be it! I’ve salivated over that dress ever since I saw that movie the week it came out, lol! I also am enamored with that yellow and blue checked material. I love bold patterns and colors, and you’ve made some of the most amazing dresses in plaids and stripes that I could look at all day. Peppermint bustle, Sleepy Hollow, that red plaid bustle dress just to name a few. Whenever this one happens, I know it will be beautiful! I also think that butterfly fabric is absolutely perfect for 60s. If that happens, I’m so curious to see your creative vision. I know I’m leaving stuff off, and my comment is too long anyway, but I wanted to thank you for sharing your plans with us! Whatever gets completed will be awesome to watch unfold. I am grateful you share this journey with us. Take care.

We have a "Party like it's the 90s" themed birthday party & I have nothing 1990s (not even jeans), so I'm making a butterfly hennin to go with my Burgundian - 1490s style. Still on the list: purple velvet version of 2B's dress from Neir Automata Wish list: probably at least one more Tudor kirtle in a neat fabric (possibly dinosaur fabric?)

So not fair, i see your wall prints, that then send's me down a rabbit holes in the world of vintage dresses.. I am making my first 1880's bustle gown. But keep changing my mind on the over skirt. So have decided make the over skirts detachable, so i can swap them round depending on what event i am going to. The fabric, is a Black heavy weight poly/cotton with sewn black pin stripe with small rose's as base fabric, with deep purple ascents and trimmings The first outing will be for a Steampunk weekend at a Working Stream Train venue, end of June, here in the UK. Then to hitch up the front over lots of petty coats, for a pirate weekend in July. Sadly we do not have as many events as you do.

I'm in the middle of making a Victorian Walking Skirt out of some suiting wool I bought and dyed (the brown was a lot more grey when I brought it home so I warmed up the colour with onion skins), right now I'm procrastinating some seam ripping of the lining because I had more fashion fabric than I thought so will have more pleats in the back. For that one I'm using my favourite machine, the 1914 hand crank Jones Brothers "Victoria". Then after some mending and tackling an UFO and getting a sewing machine or two repaired, I want to try making swimsuits for myself and my husband before our July vacation to the cottage, I'll be patterning off a swimsuit I have had since my teens for me and... well, he started this because he hates swim trunks and wants something more like a s Speedo so we'll see how that goes, I guess I start wtih a pair of his briefs? And meanwhile I'll be finally setting up a craft room, going through all my stash fabric and deciding what needs to go and what gets to stay. I've also got a September deadline to make a purple linen medieval kirtle and I want to use the rest of that fabric to make a simple rectangles-and-gores medieval underdress, if I do it right I might not need sleeves for the kirtle :P

May-July - Regency project, might be snow white, might be one of my Eras tour redesigns, not sure atm and really depends on what I can find fabrics for. August-October - Elliott's Coat from Stardew Valley and Haunt Couture Draculaura because I have a con that I want to wear Elliott to that time of year, and Draculaura will be a fun halloween sewing project And I just need to Remake Holographic Janet's vest from the good place and she's ready to wear which will in theory be a nice simple thing between to finish between bigger more complex projects Tempted to make myself a lavender princess dress over the summer/December for no other reason that I want one.

The blue day dress would look amazing with a sew/clip-in gathering of blue silk roses for the evening, just a whole garland full of them to fill the space. It wasn't uncommon for Victorian ladies to decorate thier dresses with extra fresh flowers or even a whole posey tucked in their cleavage so it wouldn't be a stretch to be live they would use silk ones if they could afford it.

I thought you did an amazing job on your Rose outfit, but perhaps ECCC was not the right event for it? Titanic is not really comic, animation, animè, manga or gaming. Perhaps it was just the wrong audience. I am concerned that the Boarding Suit wouldn't be appreciated there either. 🤔 It would be a shame for you to put so much effort into it, for hardly anyone to 'get it'. Your Barbie creations are always fantastic and seem to go over very well. I am still waiting for you to announce your 'Granny's Toilet Roll Cover project though 😅

Dear Rebecca, as a beginner sewist (though I'm a senior citizen) , I've been admiring your talents for many months now. I'm not far from you, in a major Pacific Northwest city, but have had a lot of trouble finding good fabric shops in my area. When you refer to "the fabric district", where do you mean?
