yea everything Greece has Turkey does better infact best gyro and meat places in Athens are Turkish Greek and sell turkish food😂 ( I live in Athens) its more touristic I think thats why, otherwise doesnt even come close to Turkey
As a Greek turkey should definitely be higher than Greece. That doesn't mean there aren't original Greek recipes though. There are and they are just as delicious as the popular ones.
@@georgiospapaioannou-xc9pbThe gyros are different in both countries. There is no reason to fight for who invented it. Turkey should be higher but not higher than Greece and Italy.
@@georgiospapaioannou-xc9pbhere is the problem the list that this was based on uses 10 foods for each country if I am correct. For Greece most of them including first and second place are foods that have Turkish roots

As a half Peruvian I’m just very happy that my country is 10th, it’s not the best ranking but at least people like our food, which is very underrated. Everyone talks about other countries being underrated but nobody talking about Peruvian food being underrated makes it even more underrated. Love 🇵🇪❤️
The regions of the world that have the most spices (warmer regions located close or relatively close to the equator that grow spices year round) have the tastiest foods. Funny how these little charts always leave out the Caribbean, S. America, Africa, etc. Your European foods could never. You typically cook with salt (and maybe a pinch of black pepper) because your ancestors did not have access to lots of spices when their cuisines developed.
As someone who lived all around mediterrenean / Currently in Greece ( also lebanon and Israel and Turkey) Turkey had everything Greece had and more by a million mile. Thanks ottoman empire I guess😅 No offence I love Greece but lets be fair. Best restaurants in Athens are also turkish Greek. Κεμπαπτζίδικον Το Γνήσιον Καισαριανή o proedros in glyfada savvas in center along with 10-20 more I tried. Turkic Greek places with more turkish food like kebabs / are beyond Greek level food. I mean those are turkish greek people I guess at this point genetically both countries are very mixed probably
Chinese food has left the chat Edit: 1 year later and I never really understand what ugs were saying because my local Chinese place was usually very clean like any other restaurant. However recently there was half of a rat on 1 of the spring rolls lol

Absolutely NOT !!! 🦃 has no Seafood Culture, no Pasta Culture, no Coffee Culture. They also cant eat Pork like Ham, Pepperoni, Bacon, Panseta, Gyro, Souvlaki, Cold Cuts, Pork Chops, Loins, Ribs. Nor Gamey Meats (Rabbit etc) & technically aren’t even allowed to eat Shellfish! 👍🏻 Actually, most words between the two are either GREEK: Pilaki, Ahtapot, Karides, Fasulye, Istridye, Lahan, Midye, Beksemet, Kalamar, Kiraz, Istakoz, Visne, Pide, Gastronomik? OR, Persian [Farsi] or Arabic. NOT turkic origin at all. It’s like the Agia Sofia Church that they try to portray as a mosque, everyone knows who built it & who is the ORIGINAL, & who is the thief who Copy Pasted & tried to change the names 👍🏻

Nah, most turk words are Arab, Farsi, or Hellenic. Some Greek Words & Foods that they stole: 👇🏻 Pilaki, Ahtapot, Karides, Fasulye, Istridye, Lahan, Midye, Beksemet, Kalamar, Kiraz, Istakoz, Visne, Pide, Gastronomik? ^^^I can list maybe 1,000 Food Words alone. Their food is just as original t0rkish as the Church they try to display as a mosque. Liars with majority ARAB names & endless inferiority complex! 🦃👍🏻
This list was definitely made by an american. As a German neighbor I can confirm French food quality top notch and American cuisine literally is just taking European food and turning it into low quality fastfood.
You never eat Italian food, you eat fake Italian food, come to Italy, find a good restourant in the city of the food you want to try (like: Carbonara: Rome, Pizza: Naples, Fiorentina: Florence, Risotto/Ossobuco: Milano, Lasagna: Bologna ecc.) and try the very Italian Food. This is just for find the BEST BEST BEST food, but you can also go to a casual city find a decent (not for tourist) restourant and order a casual food and then you know what Italian food is

I Lived in Lebanon and Greece and Turkey, Turkey was insane. Lebanon was a close second but variety isnt there. Israel had amazing food but arabs excelled in food vs jews😅
except turkey used to be ottoman empire and they have all greece has an better. Infact some of my favourite restaurants in Athens are turkish; foreigners wouldnt know but those are turks that moved to greece, can tell by the menu and the dates they opened😅 I used to live in Turkey. Turkish food Indian and mexican food is the best in the world, I cant speak on japanese I heard great things. Italy is overrated but certainly amazing too.
@@thegalhorowitz Yes bcz Turkish food spiced up Greek more & new ingredients from Levant region (Lebanon, Syria, Israel) etc thereby making Turkish food more exotic
@Ender 5246 lol so why is India on the list when they eat monkey and bugs? most Japanese food has roots in China, ramen most dessert etc. Just because they had exotic dishs.Dosen't make no exotic one bad. As for why China has record of these dishs. India, roman or Greek eat animal just wild as China. A sign of old civilization basically. They ignore China because west hate China at the moment.
Peru honestly should be higher. Peruvian food is severely underrated and I don’t see many people talk about it. Legit we have the best restaurant in the world and 6 of the top 10 in Latin America, plus Lima is considered the gastronomic capital of the americas. There’s a meme here in Peru that says Mexico has better food, but Peru responds saying that they get more recognition because they’re closer to the USA, but once they find Peru everyone else will be outclassed ❤️🤍❤️
Believe me, the Arabic food specially in the gulf ex. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar etc… is the best and it’s so under rated and sadly no one is talking about it ☹️
