We spent over a week at Isla Cedros, and it was definitely worth every minute. The people were amazingly friendly and the perspective the island offered us (something to contrast to our normal American lives, with all of our comforts and belongings) was nothing less than shocking. But, even though we wished we could stay another few weeks, we needed to keep going south to get to our actual intended destinations.
We pulled up anchor and headed for Turtle Bay in hopes of getting Pesos from a bank or ATM, as well as get fuel for the boat.
Also, thanks ‪@BlackRifleCoffeeCompany‬ for keeping us awake during long night watches!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
We're a family of 6, living life aboard our 1983 Vagabond 47.
She was designed by the famous naval architect William Garden, and built in the notorious Taiwanese shipyards of the 70s and 80s. She weighs over 40,000 pounds, and pushes through rough seas like a bully... but that's not why we named her Bully.
Actually, "Bully" is an archaic term used often in old sea shanties, and has a variety of meanings.
Dating back to the 1800s, not only can Bully refer to a sailor who has had a bit too much rum (Bully in the Alley), but it was also used as an adjective -- a term of endearment and fondness towards those you'd find dashing, jovial, and high-spirited (Bully Boys)!

So, who better to sail our Bully Crew around, than SV Bully?

"Black Rifle Coffee Company Nightwatch Edition", A silouhette pirate with a long rifle standing on the foredeck, cast against the moon pictured on the tin. You should definitely pitch it to them and when/if they say no, they'll probably send some free coffee anyway :)

The only reliable and consistent thing about the weather and wind apps is that you can count on them to be wrong. Sometimes even down to the hour lol

Good job on saving on fuel. The tuna is as huge. Was it difficult to cut it up?

The processing actually went super smooth. The size made it easier than filleting smaller fish. Did the whole thing in like 20 minutes.
