this video should be named "Why I love a medium tip"

I think you described this part of the game well. Cue sports are very complex with so many variables. Thanks for sharing this.

In England, we don’t call it English we call it side. You have check side and running (also called helping) side

Cool! I'm going to share with my husband. That would be silly if y'all called it English lol

I used medium hard. Not really prone to miscues unless you mess up the stroke.

I used to go along with soft tips simply bc it's what everyone said was best. Then I actually tried shooting with a hard and can't see myself going back. The feel may take getting used to at first but I get better accuracy, energy transfer, and can actually play long draw shots without them turning into stop shots. I can also use it to jump if needed. Also, Dave Alciatore made a video that disproves the common misperception of a soft tip getting better English, there is actually no difference.

Yes everyone needs to find their own sweet spot and it takes some trial and error. Do you play with just one stick for everything?

@@mypoolshop7408 Generally, yes. I use a break stick and a jump cue as they're needed but regular play is all with just one cue.

Absolutely there is no difference in english, just easier to apply with a softer tip. But once you learn how to play with your tip it makes no difference. The only time it matters is the first few times you play with it and aren't used to it.

soft is great and if you have the money soft or supersoft might be your go to but if you still want to easily hit spins but dont have the money to replace the tip often, medium is your choice hard is only good if you like to play powerful and good speed shots, but for real other than it being super low maintenance there is no other reason to buy hard tho

We need you to play with different tip hardness so we can see what is the best for playing and how the cueball react

There is a video from pool dawg that is super good, has everything in slow motion to help you see what's going on.
